    An important consideration to be made: This approach works when the acids or bases are strong. However, it is not valid for weak acids since they do not dissociate completely. Hence, one must use the Ka to calculate the concentration of hydrogen ions. This is relevant for some of the examples in the video, namely the second dissociation of sulfuric acid and the three dissociation steps of phosphoric acid, each one weaker than the previous one. Keep this in mind and check other videos to complement the information.

    To use the scientific calculator for this, do as follows: 1st- push the "log" button.
    If it doesn't automatically add the open bracket, hit the "(" button and then punch in the numbers. E.g.- 1.2x10 to the -3, but, you do 1.2 then hit the "Exp" button and then the "(-)" button then the 3 and close the bracket ")" and hit exe or the = button.

    @ sciencepost I have a question about the solution. Since it got added to water, and water in itself already has a concentration of Hydronium at equilibrium, shouldn't we add the dissociated Hydrogens from HCL to the amount of Hydronium already in the water?
