Dude, thank you so much! My teacher made this so complicated but thanks to you I get it now!! :D
This made me laugh and concentrate. I hope my professors are like this
My college chem professor made this seem more difficult than what it really is. Thanks so much dude!
Thank you so much! This is going to be one of the problems on my chemistry exam tomorrow and I finally understand! :)
You are totally welcome. I'm so stoked that this worked for you.
I skipped last weeks class and this video really helped. Thanks!
This was AMAZE-BALLS. Dude, you have just saved my midterm. Thank you so much!!!
This so awesome! I've been trying to wrap my head around the way my biochemistry teacher explains this all semester (exam is today!!!) and now I finally get it! Thank you!!
Need more teachers like him dude
An important consideration to be made: This approach works when the acids or bases are strong. However, it is not valid for weak acids since they do not dissociate completely. Hence, one must use the Ka to calculate the concentration of hydrogen ions. This is relevant for some of the examples in the video, namely the second dissociation of sulfuric acid and the three dissociation steps of phosphoric acid, each one weaker than the previous one. Keep this in mind and check other videos to complement the information.
I appreciate this.
my brother in christ he literally said that
So helpful!!! Ive got assignments all over the place and exams for science and this is so helpful. USE THIS PEOPLE
YOU SAVED MY LIFE BRUH. KEEP DOING THIS. NEVER STOP SAVING STUDENTS LIFE!
Wow he actually explains the mechanics behind the equation. Thanks dude!
Your explanations have been amazingly simple and clear to follow. Thank you so much for making your videos.
I don't care if he keeps on repeating Dude. The importance is his teaching and he is doing that very well and very clearly.
Thanks Dude
thanks so much! im having a chemistry test tomorrow and i actually understand something for once!!!
Me too but not a lot
Same
taught me more in 5 minutes then my chem teacher did in 2 weeks
Thanks for this. It really helped me with my chemistry work
Dude, you make it so easy. It was very helpful thanks
You are the saviour dude, keep making such videos🥂💥
Hey Dude !
What a wonderful, smooth explanation better than a thousand professor
Thanks I was falling out like big times in this chapter and I'm finally starting to understand and the fact that we have to use log books makes it even harder 😅
"Plug and chug", haha that had me laughing
Thank you so so much I needed this for my medical school entrance exam and I forgot about it
To use the scientific calculator for this, do as follows: 1st- push the "log" button.
If it doesn't automatically add the open bracket, hit the "(" button and then punch in the numbers. E.g.- 1.2x10 to the -3, but, you do 1.2 then hit the "Exp" button and then the "(-)" button then the 3 and close the bracket ")" and hit exe or the = button.
thanks dude if i fail ill find you
On the uni computers but thought I’d go on my phone since I have an account on here to give you a like and thank you very much for your teaching and enthusiasm. Cheers!

Love your explanations. Total clarity!!!! Saweet!!
Jane Shaw Thanks, that is what I was shooting for!
xD
Thank you so much you are 100 times a better teacher then mine.
Omg after trying to figure out how to calculate pH values I understand now lol thanks so much for your help ♥
Thank you! This was so helpful! God bless!
i swear on god i went all across the internet to find a clear video an here it is
bonus: the guy is super funny
10/10 folks

This a great teaching method you have here sir, very easy to follow and understand. Thank you.
This was so helpful for my final on Monday!
Thank you so much for your video! No one could explain it so well as you did. Now it became super easy to calculate pH! woooooohoooooo!
My chem teacher sucks, he rushes the whole class into learning one unit so we can fit the quiz this week.. also thanks for the video!
the best video on pH out there!! got that surfer dude teacher vibe going for you
This guy is a man who has BIG BRAIN
Thanks for Ur Video,I am able to clear my College Entrance Exam,Thanks Dude ❤️❤️
Hi thanks for the good explaining. Been watching a lot of vids here about solving pH concerning with Molarity but no one could explain it to me better than you!
this guy is a freaking god. love your laid back style man :) thanks so much :)
LOL. Thanks! Keep up with the studies and I know you'll be awesome!
well said
i don't understand how you got 4.82 from 1.4x10^-5.
i am not allowed to use a calculator
You must be screwed DUDE
I agree
Same problem
@@riteshrai349 same, I got 3.85??? I used a calculator too
It’s right, I used a calculator and I got that answer
I've been out of high school for 4 years now. Regardless, I was surprised about how much of this I actually vaugly remember. Practice makes perfect, I guess 😊
I love Chem, and bio. I'd like to go to college for it.
Love you bro no homo.. 7 years later your video just helped me mehnnnn ❤❤👌
It saves me from my modular class during COVID pandemic ..I'm suck at solving.. Specially with no Instructors guiding or teaching me.. 😅
Thanks dude! :)

Thanks dude it's really helpful 🙏 I'm preparing for the end of term STEM Exams and the explanations are pretty good so I really appreciate that explanation of yours. Thanks a lot ❤🙏
Hey dude just wanted to say keep up the great work :)
I really appreciate this video dude
Thank you so much..!! For explaining this question in easy way...
Thank you so much. This is very helpful. Just want question though how would do them if you are not allowed to use a calculator ?
Thank you! You've earned a like and a new subscriber.
This is awesome - thanks!
One thing about you is that you do know how to motivate :) thanks...
@9:53, I was all the way with the program :)
Hey Melissa, thanks for the comment. It's a big topic, glad you hung in there. Best wishes learning.
I'm 4 years late but this helped me man god blessss
I love this! Had some good laughs and smiled because I understand it completely. Thank You and rock on! ^_^
@lara Perez hi
DUDES
Awesome explanation bro, even a five year old would get this. keep it up
The dude thing is crazy, but remember on your problems to use proper number of sig figs. It wouldn't be 4.85 for a pH if the problem is giving you 1.4 M. You have two use two sig figs and round up to 4.9.
you are an amazing teacher well explained
Ahhh thank you!! You saved me BIG TIME 💜
So cook to hear. Best wishes in learning.
THANK YOU BROTHER FOR THIS, VERY HELPFUL
Wow soo nice... I have missed my chemistry class but this video helps me to clear this topic.. Thanks...
You are welcome!
Wonderful tutorial. Got to brush up on log calculations.
thanks, easy to understand explaining!!
When I first take this lesson I was just thinking "why do we use logarthims?!" After I study general chemistry I realized that scientists found the concentration of H+ is really small numbers so its really hard to deal with most of the concentration where like 1×10^-4 etc.. so they just use log to deal with the normal numbers we know like 1 23 just like convert from hard numbers to easy numbers and that make sense to me ! Math is every where😁
Isn't -log(1.4 * 10^-5) = 4.853871964 with significant figure and rounding rules would be 4.8? I was taught for rounding that if the rounding number was even and the number after that was a 5 you don't change it but if the rounding number is odd, you round up. That's why I didn't say 4.9.
You really ROCKED .....thanks dude
i love your take on this man :)
Thanks dude.
Groovy lesson dude, now let's calculate the pH of an acid that we are going to groove to;)
thank you!! really helped a lot, im in med school and completely forgot how to calculate for ph but it jumped back fast after this vid :)
thank you, helped sooooo much
This was super helpful, thanks!!!!!
Thanks lad, learned a few new things 🤙
totally radical tutorial man.
This TH-camr's voice reminds me of that Hansel from Zoolander.
What about weak acids???
This was very helpful, thank you
Reminds me of my history teacher who always calls us 'folks' lol
1:53 does this rule also apply to bases, please reply fast my test is tomorrow
How about finding the mole when the liter and ph is given
How do you find H+?
This was uploaded on my birthday :)
THANKS dude❤ great help
THANK YOU!!!! I really needed this!!!
Thank you so much! I will for surely rock my next test!! :))
#sciencepost make studies interesting.....like here👍🏼
Wouldn't you put an absolute value sign for the pH formula to make sure that your final answer is always positive?
