Even then. He didn't acknowledge Naruto until the very end of Naruto's academy days. Naruto wasn't treated well nor taught well all the way up until that point. He was also failing at techniques like the Clone Jutsu because he wasn't suited to it. He proved he was a mega genius by mastering Shadow Clones entirely all on his own. If Naruto had been brought up by people properly, he would have been pretty advanced from a young age.

Sasuke wanted to kill itachi and restore his clan while Naruto wanted to be acknowledged by everyone and become Hokage. Even when both have completed half of their goals in life I just find it crazy how in this point in this story sasuke fell into deeper despair while Naruto raised out of it. Baffles me how so many people hate his character despite his character making more sense than anyone else in the show. Naruto's dream was validation, Sasuke's dream was Retribution through balance.

I'm pretty sure Kakashi, Nagato and Itachi experienced a bunch of pain in their lives too. Of all the characters, I'd say Itachi got the shorter straw. Killing your own parentes and girlfriend, watching your bff jumping of a cliff, then commiting genocide on every uchiha and being absolutely hated by the 7 year old brother you were forced to abandon while hunted by your own village and slowly dying of an incurable disease at the same time you're trying not to go blind.

The best thing for me is when Ebisu is talking about how naruto started off as a nuisance to him. The flash backs started by referring to Naruto as the 9 tails kid. Not even saying his name. But then as the flashbacks continued everyone started to acknowledge and respect him. They began to call him by his name Naruto and actually worry about him rather than fear him. Being hokage may be his dream but it is only part of it. The other part was making everyone acknowledge him and over time with his hard work and never give up attitude he did just that. Such an emotional scene.

Huh, imagine never having parents or a family. Imagine having a demon living inside you (And you don't even know why or how). Imagine all the people around you being afraid and avoiding you, talking bad about you behind your back, hating you and wanting to kill you within your own village (9 tails killed many people and ninjas when summoned to attack Konoha). Imagine that you are a child who has lived alone since birth. Imagine people telling you that your dream is impossible and laughing at you.
Jiraiya dead, Kakashi dead, and Naruto facing the guy who killed them (And so many others from Konoha who also died in that battle) decides to forgive him, as he saw it was the right thing to do, believing in his master's teachings, after of having to deal with knowing who his father really was and why he sealed the 9 tails in his own newborn son.
In parallel we have Sasuke, he grew up being loved by his clan, brother and mother, and although his father was demanding of him he still loved him. His brother killed his parents and his entire clan, who were planning a coup d'état in the village.
After that, as the Uchiha clan's betrayal was covered up by Konoha's superiors, Sasuke, being the last of a renowned clan like the Uchiha, has always been admired by everyone, but he betrays his friends and the village in exchange for power, going to the Orochimaru's side, trusting the words of one of the most dangerous ninjas in the world. So he “killed” his own brother and decided to destroy the village he betrayed, trusting again the words of one of the most dangerous ninjas in the world after discovering the truth behind his brother's actions.

@@andrewodinson3726 Anko and there are also others who have the cursed mark and don't obey Orochimaru and he has to keep them trapped...?
Wasn't Kakashi helping Sasuke deal with the curse mark?
For example, only in the fight against Pain did Naruto give in to despair and embrace the "evil" thirsting for the 9 tails, after years of living with it inside him, trying to corrupt him...
Even Gaara corrected his course when he realized it was the wrong path.
With each revelation, Sasuke's path became even more cloudy.
The way you say it, it even seems like it wasn't Sasuke's choice, just like in the situation of destroying Konoha. Someone who doesn't know the story would think so.

12:20 Well, if we want to quantify the level of pain endured based on the number of lives lost, I mean Naruto literally lost well over half his village just before he got summoned back. So that's like thousands of lives. Sure he didn't know everybody but what else would you feel when you see your village literally wiped off the map like that? Pain. Yes you'll feel a TON of pain. Thats in addition to losing TWO of his precious teachers, losing his best friend and rival, not being in control of his powers and hurting the girl he loves Sakura, seeing Hinata stabbed, and plus all the pain of being snubbed and ignored his whole life and never knowing his parents, growing up alone.
Naruto has a TON of pain. At this moment at least.

The reason is that Nagato understood his way wasn't right and now can hope for Naruto to achieve his goal, but what about the people he killed all this time? What about his atonement? Dying is the easiest way out of this. He should remain alive and atone for all the things he did. Unfortunately, Kishimoto rushed it by reviving everyone and killing Nagato in the process.

He also started bleeding, which showed more damageto his already weakened state. Except he did have an answer--an answer that was repeated ad nauseam throughout the entire arc: believing in people's ability to understand each other, which was Nagato's original belief and the fundamental premise of all truthful negotiations and human relationships. Without this basic precept, the ways of the world inevitably default to deception, manipulation, and coercion.
Nagato didn't decide to change his mind just because Naruto "kept saying the same thing." That "thing" was his true conviction, which he cast aside after suffering so much and being influenced by Tobi's ideology. As soon as he saw that there was someone fighting the fight he himself had given up on, the persona of Pain--an identity and mindset he invented to compensate for his loss of conviction and cope with the trauma of war--lost its perceived value. Naruto made him remember his real conviction by actually embodying it, as if to restore Nagato's faith in humanity.
Criticize Naruto's answer or the way it was written as much as you want, but to say that he had "zero answers" is simply a lie.

Naruto had zero answers to the MAIN points Nagato was making.
Naruto just said the same dumb shit he said all series, which was not an answer at all to the many issues that came up in the series. Nagato breaking to the sentimentality of Naruto's words being like Yahiko's words, when Yahiko being killed in a completely fucked situation brought about by the very realities of the ninja world that Naruto had zero answers for was the reason Nagato switched from that idealistic naive bullshit to begin with.

    • @foreighteen7797
      @foreighteen7797 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

@@TizOnly1 Nagato's main point was that humans cannot possibly understand each other. Every single issue you cited, including Nagato's peace-through-terror solution, stems from that premise. Naruto's answer was to prove it wrong by listening to his mortal enemy, appealing to their shared principles and sentiments, and living out his own convictions--which apparently worked as far as Nagato and Konan were concerned.
While it is true that this response doesn't constitute a treaty, declaration, legislative proposal, edict, a new set of standard operating procedures, or any sort of concrete formula for peace, it constitutes a return to fundamental principles, which Nagato had cast aside in favor of a band-aid solution.
There isn't a single instance in the entirety of the series that implies Nagato "should be fine with" the crimes of Konoha, nor did Naruto ever show or claim that he would ever be "fine with" the Akatsuki's crimes against the world, so that's neither here nor there. The point is that understanding can be achieved in spite of all that, and if you don't put your faith in it, you end up on a slippery slope to the creation of a menace like Pain and the Akatsuki.
One could call Naruto's worldview incomplete, naive, and/or even arrogant, but to say that it fails to address anything is simply a lie; and repeating that lie out of sheer dislike and dismissiveness is not a valid argument.

    • @TizOnly1

@@foreighteen7797 It's a bogus "fundamental principle" in a story entirely about warring military factions.
And it's not "neither here nor there" whether or not these ninja could be ok with the "crimes" of the other... that's the ENTIRE thing! How do these ninja villages and individual ninja interact with each other, and what does that realistically engender in the other.
When a main village fights another, and decimates a smaller village in between them, what does that ACTUALLY do to those villagers? That's the CORE of it.. not something that's "neither here nor there". When the contradictions inherent to ninja villages' existence leads to a clan wanting to rise up against the village, and the village responds by massacring that clan.. why did that happen? What happens next? What does it mean to have to live through that?
Those are CORE questions to the story. Not some ancillary shit.
Naruto's answer didn't even address the main issues. He just showed conviction... but no ability to actually deal with the core issues. It wasn't an answer.
To me, it was really bad writing, and a complete copout.. but that's what I think about basically the entire story after Naruto meets Nagato face to face. Kishi was setting up all sorts of interesting dilemmas, and it all fell apart to a "conviction without substance" copout answer.

The revival scene encapsulates one of the main point of what Naruto the show is about.

Rinnegan translates to Samsara Eye. Samsara is the name for the reincarnation cycle buddhists believe in. Samsara has multiple realms, stacked on each other like floors in a building, or layers. From lowest to highest these realms are called the Naraka Realm, the Preta Realm, the Animal Realm, the Human Realm, the Asura Realm, and the Deva Realm. According to buddhist teachings, when someone dies they reincarnate, and in each life they accumulate karma from both their actions and inaction. Upon death in any given life, enough good karma can allow them to ascend to a higher realm, but enough bad karma will push them into a lower realm. In the buddhist idea of reincarnation, the ideal objective is not actually tied to the Samsara system at all. Instead, they strive to let go of worldly attachments and thus escape the cycle. Those who do so enter a place known in buddhism as the Outer Realm.
The Paths of Pain are different abilities exclusive to the Rinnegan. When Nagato or Konan referred to one of the Pain corpse puppets by a word ending in '-do', that's actually the name of an ability or subset of abilities of the Rinnegan, which is also used as the name of said corpse puppet. The six Paths of Pain are Jigokudo, Gakido, Chikushodo, Ningendo, Shurado, and Tendo. 'Jikogudo' translates to 'Naraka Path', 'Gakido' to 'Preta Path', 'Chikushodo' to 'Animal Path', 'Ningendo' to 'Human Path', 'Shurado' to 'Asura Path', and 'Tendo' to 'Deva Path'. If you refer to the Rinnegan and its wielder by the names of the Paths of Pain, then while a Rinnegan user has corpse puppets wielding the six aforementioned paths, the wielder himself continues to wield a seventh subset of abilities called 'Gedo', which translates to 'Outer Path'. That's why Konan referred to Nagato as the 'Seventh Pain'. It's also why those who possess the Rinnegan are said to exist outside the realm of life and death, and why the Rinnegan is said to be a jutsu that presides over life and death.
