Patrik Pietschmann - The Way of Hope (Solo Piano Version)
    Composed by Patrik Pietschmann
There was a time before my TH-cam channel when I had a strong urge to express myself by writing my own music and also to channel my (often rather melancholic) emotional states in it to some extent. I clearly saw my musical future as a composer and not just as an arranger or pianist. I'm very grateful that I had the opportunity to try my hand at some other musical or non-musical disciplines as well. But in the end, I realized that only composing my own music gives me the feeling that I can be 100% myself. There are various reasons why I had changed my goals in the meantime, but lately I feel more and more the need to get back to the composer in me. At the same time, I've always been fascinated and excited by the big, epic sound of an orchestra. And when I came across the music of Hans Zimmer as a teenager, it was clear to me that at some point in my life I would like to be able to write and produce my own music for orchestra. My special friendship to the piano should of course not suffer, so I am looking for a way to combine both passions.
In this video you can hear the pure solo piano version of my original composition "The Way of Hope". The main version was composed and produced for piano and orchestra and is available on all major streaming platforms like Spotify, Apple Music or Amazon Music. In addition, you can also find the pure orchestra track without piano there.
"The Way of Hope" is dedicated to all those who are currently going through difficult times or have gone in their past. What has been on my mind and challenging me a lot lately is the fact that life is temporary, but offers endless possibilities. Each day brings you and me to new forks in the road where we must decide which path to take. And this path in turn leads to new forks in the road where we have to make important decisions for our life, and on and on. And each time we always carry the hope within us that we have made the right decision for our life, even if there is no certainty about it. In addition, our own life circumstances also depend on the decisions and influences of other people (family, politics, job), sometimes this has positive, sometimes negative effects. Nevertheless, it is important to have the courage to go your own way in life and never give up hope. That is what I would like to express with this original composition musically.

Hey patrik, I couldn't watch the video immediately so I went to spotify to hear what you've done this time and I saw that there's 3 tracks and in that a whole orchestral version! The amount of effort that is put into this must've been crazy! You being an orchestral composer is definitely going to be amazing and I can't wait to see what it brings. You've really outdone yourself this time :)

This song... touches a deep part of my soul
The instrumental version truly brought tears to my eyes, which is a strong statement for me.
I've been studying music for eleven years now, and this is a true work of art.
The depth and emotion are prominent. To be honest, for me, this is on the same level as Hans Zimmer and Steve Jablonsky, two of my favorite composers.
I will definitely be purchasing the sheet music at some point in time

I agree with you 100%. I bought it and although I too have studied for 11 years I swore that it is of a very high technical difficulty. 2 melodies in the right hand are not simple, if you then add interpretation it becomes a feat just to get close to what patrick did. And to think that at first glance it didn't seem like one of his most difficult arrangements... Harmonically wonderful. It looks like an orchestra inside a piano

  • @lasse0512
    @lasse0512 ปีที่แล้ว +6

    Lieber Patrik,
"The Way of Hope" repräsentiert den Zustand, in welchem sich unsere Gesellschaft momentan befindet, ziemlich gut.
    Lasse

Hey Patrik, as soon as I finished listening to this, I listened to it with the orchestra on apple music! It was really nice to hear, and very different from your other original compositions. In a previous video, I said you should get 2sfh to orchestrate your compositions, but you could do them yourself! I really like the theme in this piece, and I also like how pronounced your style is and the way you have woven it into this piece. I really like the suspensions, and 2:10 is built up really well. The beginning is very soft and beautiful, the second section 0:38 is a bit more layered in sound, 1:09 is my second favourite bit, it's played dynamically very well, 1:38 begins a build-up, and 2:00 onwards until 2:35 is my favourite bit. From there to the end is a beautiful closing, ending with a very well-played decrescendo. This piece and the accompanying comment show a very different side to you. I hope that you write more orchestral music, and I strongly encourage you to compose more. It is my wish that you will continue to find the right path. You expressed your message musically well. I also hope that you create more music using 'the big, epic sound of an orchestra' as well as creating more piano pieces. Thank you for all your work. 😊

I'm currently not doing too well so your video couldn't have been released at a better time.
Of all the music that you've produced so far, i must say that your original works are my favorite ones. I can hear and feel your personal touch even more and it means a lot to me. Indeed, i do relate a lot to the music you play in general, i helps me in various ways.
Thank you for your inspiring and helpful music, hopefully you will release more compositions in the future :)
