What a lovely view coming in. A southerly approach over Fremantle Harbour and following the Swan River past Leighton, Mosman Park, Peppermint Grove and with Cottesloe and Swanbourne over near the Ocean. The vista North over the leafy Western Suburbs of Claremont, Nedlands, Dalkeith and Crawley. Kings Park and then the CBD. A few less clouds and more Sunshine would have been nice. But hey, still bloody good to see.
That's the turn i think i was looking for,as landed in perth,last september,on Air Mauritius,and the pilot,made a very hard bank,more than 45º i'd say, just before landing,which was frightening at the time,but looking back,felt like a wicked ride,and ever since i have been looking for a similar video... just wished it was on the other side,but i suppose you can't win them all :)
blairallan1 Yeah,well it was my first flight there,as an adult,and wasn't expecting it,and i don't know if it was the pilot or an apprentice,as he kept throttling the engines once lined up for the runway,which felt eerily weird lol

Most of the coast is reasonably habitable , which is why most Australians live there. It's just the biggest river mouths are on the east coast, with the Swan being the major one in the west. Running water is pretty vital for the founding of a city, especially in colonial days.
The earth looks pretty flat to me. Was just watching footage from inside the cockpit of another Perth entrance landing, the cockpit footage showed an earthly curvature while descending.. weirdly, a earthy curvature once landed 🤔

Perth is always a bumpy ride in. Usual bank limit is 30 degrees, 45 would be a real thrill
