    Are the BLI ones as weak as the Intermountain ones? Hence the diesel? The two engines do often get in sync so only 4 chuffs per rev then.

    Sounds like the chuff rate needs adjusting, as it stands there are not enough chuffs per wheel revolution. Personally I dislike the sound on all BLI steam locos, it sounds unrealistic. TCS have the correct “wheezing” air pump sounds for the cab forward on their decoders, a good upgrade in my opinion. (Admittedly I had no choice as I managed to fry the BLI decoder on my own AC5!)

      The "wheezing" air pumps weren't present on Cab Forward's until the AC-6s were produced. Everything before had the normal air pumps. So for this AC-5, BLI had the correct sound.
