    YOU ARE GOOD MAN!!!!! Thank you for your hard work in keeping us informed for 3 years about all the SCS benefits and struggles. I have watched many TH-cam videos and yours is the best information out there. I want to thank you for allowing us into your private life and sharing with us your journey. Again thank you so much and GOD bless you and your family.

      Thank you so much Phil. It means the world to me when I receive comments like these. When I'm feeling down, it's comments like these that lift my spirits when I go back and read them all again. It was my wife's idea. I didn't know what to do and she told me: " hit record and talk about everything that you feel" I never knew it would amount to this and be so helpful to others seeking clarity on this procedure. I am humbled and grateful for the wonderful feedback I've received (including this ☝🏽️) God bless you and your family. May you find relief and have a wonderful Christmas and Happy New Year my friend cheers 🍻

    I've been watching your videos. . This information is priceless. I'm getting my trial 12-11-23. 9 days from now. Very nervous. This update gives me hope for the future. I'd really like to drive more than once or twice a month. Been on the couch for 17 months since getting hurt at work. I was a welder. When you said to stay away from welders and generators my heart broke. I wanna feel like you. I need my life back.

      @@MySCSStory Yes sir I am. I’m looking into getting a SCS myself due to severe chronic neuropathy stemming from a Spinal Cord Injury I suffered 5 years ago. Gabapentin is the only thing that’s kept me alive this long but it recently stopped working as my body has built up a tolerance to it. I’m back to being in unbearable pain and I’m at my wits end with the chronic neuropathy. So I’m looking to get more information from people and hoping to hear some positive stories. Outside of your video, I’ve seen far too many negative experiences with it which makes me nervous.

    I'm glad you are doing well finally. I had my SCS removed Monday 11/13. I have the old MRI incompatible Medtronic SCS, implanted in 2012. I shared before that I was awake during that entire surgery due to a high tolerance from prescribed Opioids for chronic pain. It was then realized that I was dealing with opioid induced hyper sensitivity, I didn't need the SCS, I needed to free from opioids. Day 6 post op, I'm dealing with terrible muscle spasms but they will go away eventually. I wish you success in your SCS journey. No pain or complications!

    I saw my surgeon this past Wednesday. The Rep and I worked on changing the coverage range and she gave me a new program for the SCS to try for the next 6 weeks. She left the first program on the remote in the event I find the new program isn't working for me, I can at least fall back to it if need be. The new coverage area, only now on the 3rd day, appears at this point to be better than the last. Pain level has been down at a very manageable level. Level of pain during spikes of pain have been down. So far so good ! I'm excited this has been a long journey for relief.

    I’ve had my permanent stimulater for about a year now & it hasn’t touched my back pain. It helps my leg pain but not my back. They think maybe the leads have moved & want me to have a X-ray soon. I’m miserable!! 24/7 I feel about a 7 in pain. I take Lyrica & pain meds as well. I’m so happy it helped you. You are BLESSED!!

      Hello HereIAm, thanks for watching and sharing with us. I'm so sorry to hear that your scs isn't helping with your back pain. I tend to find relief when I run my back program at 40hz Pulse rate and set the pulse width and amplitude to your liking. I notice that I hurt more when my program is too strong and or running at a high pulse rate. I'm praying for you my friend ❤‍🩹 I totally understand where you are coming from and in the same sentence, I feel bad because I feel relief and you're in pain 😔

      Yes my brother, I'm feeling better and better as the years past. As the pain from the surgery goes away and my trouble spots are being targeted effectively, the more my pain decrease. The jacked up part about it is my underlying condition. I have whole body impairment and disc Slippage issues so I have to watch my movements closely to ensure that I don't click my back, change my coverage and or cause the pain to return. There's a lot of Pro's and Con's to this system but the Pro's are winning this week

    Good video again. I go on the 28th for the trial period. Then if all goes well, out on the 1rst Dec. then 2-3 weeks after get full install. T10-ilium fused and 3 knee replacement, one advice, let the fusion be the last last resort. If your doing good keep it up. If hurts to bad or personal safty then hit fusion. Every one is different healing. I wouldn’t wish a major fusion like mine on anyone. A small fusion I can’t say. 2 1/2 years on it now. Slow and easy 🤙🤙

      I heard that Mongo. As they say: slow motion is always the best motion... I do thank you so much for watching, sharing with us and especially for your advice. I've been getting a lot of mixed responses regarding that matter and yours is definitely a no brainer #lastresortonly 💯 I pray that all goes well with your trial and remember my suggestions when they program you. Your options are left, right, even (for both sides), make pulses wider, thinner, faster, slower, higher up your spine & lower down your spine. When you find the sweet spots, you'll feel great. Take your time with the reps. It's all about finding the best relief for you and there is no time table for that my friend. Take care and keep us posted

    This is a great video sir. I've been dealing with chronic back pain since I was 27. I had a spinal fusion at L5-S1 in 1993. That wasn't the answer. At this point, I try to stay as active as possible and just deal with the pain. I try not to do anything stupid but sometimes every day life as a man presents challenges that we need to face and complete. I just finished up my one week trial on July 2nd. I believe it was successful and am in referral for the permanent implant. Do you feel like you can push-mow your grass, weed whack with a feather lite weed whacker? Do you feel like you could play 9 holes of golf using a golf cart? Do you feel like you could bowl 3 games with a 15 pound bowling ball? These are all of the activities I've been doing for many years but have done so with different levels of pain over the last 35 years. I went to pain management a year ago because of a very bad episode with months of back and leg pain. Tried a couple of injections with no relief. My insurance denied the MILD procedure at L3-L4 through 4 different appeals. So this is where I'm at. My goal with this SCS is to be able to do all of my household chores and continue with my hobbies like golf and bowling in less pain. Do you feel you can do these things? Thanks in advance.

    • @MySCSStory
      @MySCSStory  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@wileycoyote3223 thanks for watching and for sharing with us. And thank you for your questions. As for me, my back is ruined (whole body impairment in my back) therefore I already before my implantation. I had a laundry list of restrictions ie. Lifting, twisting, etc. as for yard maintenance, I have a riding mower, I was cleared to ride it at 1 mo post op. I have a very lightweight battery powered weed eater. I’m able to use it with very minimal pain. It doesn’t begin to hurt until I’m using it past 30 mins. I tried to bowl but it caused me pain swinging the ball (all the body motions). I’m not a golfer so I can’t really speak on how it feels. Household chores are not a problem for me. It depends on if I’m having an arthritis or neuropathy flare up. Other than that, I have more good days than bad days, today my joint pain is a 1. If it makes you feel better, I am a member of Spinal Cord Stimulator Success Stories on fb. I have seen posts where ppl have resumed their normal life post op, going back to work, hiking, traveling, etc. so anything is possible with this system. It solely amounts to our individual bodies, what we have been through, type system you’re getting, how well they program you, how long it takes for the rep to hit that trouble spot & how your body responds to it. As long as you follow the doctors orders & give yourself time enough to heal properly, you’ll be fine. I strongly believe that adverse reactions are attributed to getting up, moving too soon and moving the wrong way too sudden. Results will vary from person to person.

    • @MySCSStory
      @MySCSStory  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hello Rude Master, thanks for watching and thanks for your question based on what you're telling me, it could be one of 4 things. 1 (minor) you're probably not seating the charger box on your PG. If you don't seat it properly your device won't charge (if so, ask the rep to give you some insight) 2. (Minor) your charging puck may be defective and might need to be replaced 3. (Major) your PG has flipped over inside of you and you will need to get the surgeon to flip it back over and anchor it. 4.(Major) your PG might be defective and might need to be replaced. My question to you: are you feeling any pain around your PG? Overall you definitely need to contact your surgeon before the unit dies. If there's any major issues you'll get priority and they'll correct it. Keep me posted my friend. Best wishes
