I proposed to my husband, and to get the ring size, I bought a plastic ring sizer with the cover-story of buying a ring on etsy for myself. I claimed that I couldn't do it on my finger and didn't understand how to read it, so I said, "let me try yours!" I measured his pointer finger on his right hand, then measured mine. Just proposed 4 days ago to my girlfriend of 5 and a half years. This is very similar to our story, it might be this way for all lads, we don’t do too well creating more than Plan A lol
Having done what was basically a real proposal for a class assignment because I was able to be partnered with my then girlfriend for the marriage project, I can relate to how it feels when actually going through with the proposal. There were only 2, maybe 3 people in the entire school that knew I was going to propose during friday assembly with a cute video of our past pictures and the lovey-dovey punk rock music we both liked. When it was my time to get the ball rolling, they handed me the mic. I couldn't say a damn word, all I could do was go get her from her seat and bring her down front with me to watch the video with the entire school. I signaled the guy running a/v to get the video rolling and we all watched and waited. I turn to her and as I get down on my knee the music hits that moment, the "will you marry me" appears on the screen, and neither of us could say anything. She nodded and I gave her the ring, the entire auditorium filled with cheers from ~400 people. It was the single coolest thing I've ever done but I don't regret not being able to say anything. My only regret was not taking the moment all the way. School sucks so we didn't go for the kiss, just a long hug before going back to our seats. We should have gone for the kiss anyway, maybe staff would've gotten at us for it maybe they wouldn't have, I just wish we had the moment. Honestly wanted to pick her up and carry her out the door to really go the distance but I was a scrawny dude then :P
Talking about 'The Beginning after the End'; being a light novel reader myself I can confirm that it is totally worth it. Having read both Mushoku Tensei and The Beginning after the End I can't say that one is better than the other, but if you liked Mushoku to such an extent then you will definitely love the webtoon.
I can. Mushoku is better. Mushoku does a really great job at making Rudy feel like his past life mattered, and is a major part of who he is. And he was just a NEET in his past life who never did anything. But in The Beginning After the End, he's meant to have literally gone from living on the streets, to fighting wars on the frontline as a dictator with a lightsaber, and it just doesn't feel like it. Rudy feels pretty real. Having the maturity of someone quite a bit older than he's meant to be. But having the complete lack of social development, lack of experience with relationships, and lack of confidence, that you'd expect from someone with a past life like his. But Arthur doesn't. He's hyper emotional and feels pretty much the same as every other 'cool' teen protagonist. The exception being where he first meets the King of Sapin. I wish his character remained consistent to how he was then. (I know he's meant to be emotionally immature from his past life too, but it's not done particularly well in my opinion). I still enjoy The Beginning after the End. But Mushoku is definitely at another level to it. At least in my opinion.
Besides both being progressive fantasy and similar figures, I'd say they are both almost completely different stories. Mushoku Tensei is a redemption story more focused on Rudeus in a new world and protecting your loved ones from immutable circumstances. TBATE is about a former king who's closed everything off and tries to gain new connections but is shadowed by an unknown enemy that is built up from the beginning and the consequences of his life before. Mushoku excels in worldbuilding while TBATE focuses more on the fantasy of magic and power systems of Arthur. They both have their great aspects and I recommend both after reading both the webnovel of mushoku and catching up to current chapters of TBATE
Storytelling at its finest, the problems arising left and right before the big thing was so anime wtf. Congratulations again dudee, wishing both of you more happinesss

With my now wife we started dating back in 2012 and we joked about if we get to 2015 still togheter we were gonna marry, so fast forward to dec 31 2014, i didn't wanted to happen by default, so i proposed 10 seconds before finishing 2014, with a ring on a Pokeball. We married in 2015 and we are still happily married, and close to our 10 year anniversary.
I think the whole proposal thing is a bit forced by American movies. Me and my gf at that time were just chilling on a hammock during our summer holiday and just said 'hey, I really love you, maybe we can get married'. 'I thought the same thing', and then we went shopping for rings the same day. I wouldn't have guessed her ring preference, or her exact size, so it was for the best.
@@thesun564 It doesn't have to be. People spend money, stress out, all for this fantasy they got from the movies. Real life is different. The feelings of the other person is what matters.

So I plan to officially propose to my GF of six years this year at our 7th anniversary. Originally, I wanted to be sneaky about it and did measure the size of a ring she'd already had (one of those couple rings that aren't engagement rings and stuff) but remembered that it was one of those adjustable rings so the size wasn't quite right. I then asked her, cause she mentioned she wanted to get a new ring anyway if she's already found one in her size, she said no. Now, last week, I was smoothbrained enough to ask her if she has a favourite gemstone and, well, she figured it out and I said that I'v been thinking about it. We're kinda engaged anyway, just like unofficially, so she wasn't terribly surprised or anything but I still hope that it's gonna be a proper proposal in August. We'll go to a jewler today to figure out our sizes. Now, if that restaurant I wanted to book a table for would finally reply...
When he was talking about his proposal story, I felt good since it was a wholesome story. But when The Beginning After The End was brought up, I just went monkE brain and the feeling of wholesomeness just disappeared from my body
Don't feel bad I think all proposals at some level never go as planned. My now-husband and I drove cross country in the dead of winter to spend Christmas with his family and that whole trip I knew how, when, and where I was gonna propose. I communicated to the family slight details. We get to Pittsburgh I tried 5xs to propose but something kept happening then I finally gave up and proposed in the snow. Now we are married and watch One Piece together every week and stream together it all works out LOL
I think that all of those things going wrong actually made the proposal/story even better. If it had gone perfectly, would it have been as memorable? Maybe. But I guarantee you both will remember that experience forever.
Today is my wedding day and I am making cleric beast sounds in pure anxiety. Listening to Garnt story is kinda relaxing and nerve wrecking at the same time
ok, now that you want to give web novels a go, I have a recommendation. (you said you want to read the beginning after the end) when you're disappointed and think that you saw it all when you doubt yourself forever liking an isekai, when you think isekai can never be deep or epic when your literary friends tell you that epic literature has been piqued by homer and No one can do it better remember this recommendation. (side note: don't waste your first time reading these books, if you're not in the mood for this don't start it and come back when you're ready) here it goes: lord of the mysteries and reverend insanity good luck.
The first season of symphogear is a bit low budget animation wise but it is the best season of the anime because is basically sums up all of the main themes of the show. Obviously if you end up watching then the other seasons are fine
It’s true. I don’t know how women know but I knew when my fiancé was going to propose so I got my hair and nails done the day before I suspected he was going to propose. I was right!
I tried proposing at Disney sea in japan. the day was a disaster. poured rain and our friends got in a big fight so i held off. we then took a trip to hakone japan. beautiful area in the mountains with hot springs. I was going to propose in this 3 hundred year old garden. but she caught me as I was getting the ring out of my bag. I just froze and didn't know what to do. she caught on to what I was doing. but I panicked and left without it. she was so pissed at the garden lol. she gave me the same look garnt was describing. the look of u are doing this today. I ended up getting a private outdoor onsen overlooking the mountains in the hit spring. I think she was happy I had finally done it. luckily it ended well lol
Congratulations Garnt! I wish you have a long and happy marriage. Happy that you are being the "beloved"one as the meaning of your name. ยินดีด้วยครับพี่กานต์ ขอให้มีความสุขมาก ๆ ติดตามอยู่เสมอครับ

Whoa, okay. The fact that Sydney already expected Garnt's proposal is amazing. They're already married before even actually married. Listening to Garnt's experience, I must say that those romcom mangas I'd been reading may not totally a fiction, lmao. Congratulations! Speaking of non-isekai fantasy, read Dungeon Meshi. If you're the type that really love the fantasy-side rather than the japanizing-beam side, give it a try. It's kinda weak at first and you may find yourself bored I won't lie, but as soon as the plot moves everything is paid off. TBATE is good but I can't really say it's better than Mushoku Tensei. I find it hard to compare both medium because if you've read both manga and manhwa, you will notice a peculiar "style" or "pattern" that these two medium has no matter the genre, similar feeling when you're reading western comic or watching CN Teen Titans and The Last Airbender. And when you're not uncomfortable with that pattern, you will find yourself uninterested in the series no matter how good it is.
Straight up hats off to the guy who mentioned Koi X Uso, it's an anime I enjoyed!! The animation was enjoyable, the world was interesting, the music *slapped* and I was a fan. The manga has left me wanting (as of a year ago) but I'm hoping it gets a new cult following
I can do you one better on the things that go wrong front for proposal: we were going to move, one of us was going to lose our job. One of us _NEEDED_ needed insurance benefits for continued survival (in America) and we were obviously never going to break up. Casually demanded it, as the one who was losing their job would be counted as a dependent if there was a legal document behind it. Partner agreed it was for the best. I called the court house that day to set an appointment. We were married three months later. Realized later there should be more than utility to the moment of suggesting a life-long union, I was just panicked about someone dying/health decline at the time. Partner was let down, but understood, lmao. I can get a do-over for proposing a ceremony.
I never once realized that I had to get the ring sized before I proposed. My partner had to tie dental floss from the ring to her wrist to make sure the ring wouldn't fall off. But, I did manage to surprise her with a proposal in Paris on the bridge where all the love locks were (trust be, it was easy less cheesy 8 years ago). Congrats on the engagement and wedding!!!
a lot of fantasy and martial art manhwa is so good doctor rebirth, reincarnated as the crazed heir, tale of a scribe, nano machine, mercenary enrollment, omniscient reader viewpoint, return of the mount hua sect. just name a few

I think that all of those things going wrong actually made the proposal/story even better. If it had gone perfectly, would it have been as memorable? Maybe. But I guarantee you both will remember that experience forever.
ยินดีด้วยค่า 💐💖 ขอให้มีความสุขมากๆ 😂
so glad i caught this story live because damn it made me respect this king more
There has to be chad that can animate this Proposal story.
Sydney and Garnt are literally couple goals!
aaaargh that was so cute it sounded like it was straight out of a peak romance anime or smth
Today is my wedding day and I am making cleric beast sounds in pure anxiety. Listening to Garnt story is kinda relaxing and nerve wrecking at the same time
@@payyay1 There were some moments where I thought everything would go wrong, but in the end it was splendid. Thank you for your wishes.
ok, now that you want to give web novels a go, I have a recommendation. (you said you want to read the beginning after the end)
when you're disappointed and think that you saw it all when you doubt yourself forever liking an isekai, when you think isekai can never be deep or epic when your literary friends tell you that epic literature has been piqued by homer and No one can do it better remember this recommendation. (side note: don't waste your first time reading these books, if you're not in the mood for this don't start it and come back when you're ready)
here it goes:
lord of the mysteries
and
reverend insanity
good luck.
by the way, don't bother with the manga adaptations of these novels. (because they're just bad adaptations that didn't do the work justice)
I'll try to check them out when I have time.👍🏽
OMG Kevin Macleod Cipher in the background music! Love it what a throwback thanks Mudan
The first season of symphogear is a bit low budget animation wise but it is the best season of the anime because is basically sums up all of the main themes of the show. Obviously if you end up watching then the other seasons are fine
"Southbank London"
*shows pic of southbank Brisbane*
Me: Ay that's my city
The new King and Queen of Degeneracy and I fucking love it, those guys are so great together
Garnt/His editor, hitting us with the Kevin Macleod - Cipher was an unexpected hit of nostalgia that I really appreciated
Beginning after the end better than jobless lol best joke I have heard all my life
It’s true. I don’t know how women know but I knew when my fiancé was going to propose so I got my hair and nails done the day before I suspected he was going to propose. I was right!
As a military, marriage and hood vet, this is a apt description of being stuck in the future aka anxiety.
I'm so happy for the two of you! Congratulations on your Marriage Garnt 🎉

ยินดีด้วยครับพี่กานต์ ขอให้มีความสุขมาก ๆ ติดตามอยู่เสมอครับ
the thumbnail for the video, you nailed
I'm getting a heart attack just listening to the story, I perfectly imagined it and boy was it nerve wrecking
I'm glad everything worked out in the end on that date! Must've felt like a whole mountain was lifted. And I'm happy to hear you like Thunder Bolt Fantasy! That show is amazing and the craftsmanship is amazing. It is a timeless story!
Garnt keeps getting those Ws man, he really is the protagonist
2:45 maybe that's why i inexplicably like KonoSuba's dub more. I always just chalked it up to English Kazuma being much, MUCH more tolerable than Japanese Kazuma
How dare you insult the great Jun Fukushima
Garnt Jr.: Dad keeps introducing shit isekai to me, he sure has trash tast- ohhh.
Wholesome!✨ Love ur storytelling!
Garnt discovered the king engine.
Love the video and keep up the great work
Thankyou editor for putting in Southbank QLD Australia, walked there many many times its not that nice haha
its like mat pat's sometime you dont need elaborate plans you just need to do it when it feels right
4:13 proposal story
you're a hero
Already know this is gonna be the best marriage when I hear Wahmuu's theme in the beginning
That scaffolding reminds me of Kaneki's first date in Tokyo Ghoul.
Lmao Garnt used a picture of the Southbank in Brisbane instead of the Southbank in London
the Garnt's Deez Nuts time line is still going strong. Gottem
17:23 Garnt has good taste when it comes to water
The picture of South Bank you used at 4:48 is actually of South Bank in Brisbane, Australia. Not the London one :P
this is fucking perfect, i love garnt and cindy so much
I can do you one better on the things that go wrong front for proposal: we were going to move, one of us was going to lose our job.
12:55 God: I cant believe this, Buddha come look at this
Buddha: Oh home boy f*ck€d up
God: I cannot believe it
Buddha: Imma text Odin
I never once realized that I had to get the ring sized before I proposed. My partner had to tie dental floss from the ring to her wrist to make sure the ring wouldn't fall off. But, I did manage to surprise her with a proposal in Paris on the bridge where all the love locks were (trust be, it was easy less cheesy 8 years ago). Congrats on the engagement and wedding!!!
Your proposal sounds epic. Much better than any love confession in anime
And that’s how somehow a anime fan ascended from the mortal plain and got a wife
21:15 Garnt again fell for Deez Nuts joke 😂
I really don’t understand the joke. How does the trap work? Can someone please explain, thx
THUNDERBOLT FANTASY IS SOOO GOODDDDD
a lot of fantasy and martial art manhwa is so good
doctor rebirth, reincarnated as the crazed heir, tale of a scribe, nano machine, mercenary enrollment, omniscient reader viewpoint, return of the mount hua sect. just name a few
watched the VOD but the intro hooked me again- though nice Q&A
The ranking at the end was so BASED
