    Thank you for this - I watched it with great interest as we have a relative with pretty progressed igaN. I wanted to ask for your opinion about the treatment with Tarpeyo/Kinpeygo which is, to my understanding, a relatively newly approved drug from pharma company Calliditas Therapeutics.
    If I understand correctly, it is the only one which seem to halt the disease progression by lowering eGFR and proteinuria.
    I would greatly appreciate any insight into this. Thank you!

      IGA has no treatment and such videos might just be advertising for selling drugs

      There are many drugs that can help in slowing the progression of the disease. Part of the problem is getting diagnosed early as most people with IGAN don’t know they have it until the later stages of the disease. I have it myself.

      @@MYBEES1 yes, for example, cortisol can help slow down proteinuria but the side effects outweight the benefits. However, if proteinuria is caught while it is still under 1000 mdgl it is easier to control it. To this date there is no treatment for IGA nephropathy.
