Good morning John. Love this video of all glass today. I love all things glass. I had a lot of clear glass in my booth but it wasn't selling. Colored glass is what everyone wants.
When I was in 4'th grade, 1973-74, (yeah, ok. I'm old), we went on a field trip to L.E. smith glass. It was in Mt. Pleasant, PA. I remember seeing them make those vases. A couple of the "rich kids" bought one. They were probably about $10 back then. Somehow, we got one of those vases from a funeral arrangement but I'll bet it was donated or given away. I bought a small, blue toothpick holder that was the shape of a canoe. Wish I knew where it went. Good memories from that field trip although the teacher was a "bits."
This is the second time in 2 days I have seen something related to Alpha Bits, a cereal I had forgotten all about but am now craving. Nice glass haul! Love the purple pitcher.
The large amber flower bowl, brought me back to my aunt's in the 70s. Social media has increased the thrifting and collecting of all things vintage. Harder to find some things now. Thank you for the lesson today!
Love all the glass, John. I’ve just gotten into collecting a little bit of it. I have two genie bottles, a few decanters, a swung vase and a Blenko pitcher so far. All purchased from thrift stores or eBay. Good stuff!
I just found an LE Smith swung glass about 21 inches, pretty much identical to yours but in the light peacock blue color. $6.99 at Goodwill. I could not believe my eyes when I saw it! I love the thrill of finding treasures like this. Eventually I’ll sell but I really like to enjoy my glass for a bit first 😊 thank you for this video. Very helpful!
There was so much beautiful glass being made in WV! We passed by Milton, WV (Home of Blenko) on our way to our Indiana vacation and were so tempted to stop!
I love some MCM glass I have a great collection that I have found at estate sales I did find a 32'' L.E. Smith Bittersweet swung floor vase for $40. that sales for $400-600 that was the most I have ever spent on a piece. It came from an antique store up in Tazewell, TN. They had tons of Victorian furniture that they priced back in the 1980s when that stuff was still expensive. They didn't think much MCM glass lol.
Oh, the hat is everything!
omg love the swung vase!!!
Love all of the glass!! It’s my favorite!
Yes very popular right now.
Great glass haul! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for watching!
Your series is great. I look forward to it!
Thank you so much for watching. I sure appreciate it.
My god man!! The prices you are picking up this glass blows my mind!! 😮
Small town U.S.A.
Enjoy your stuff so much.
I appreciate that! Thanks for watching.
Great hat!
That orange thumbprint candy dish is gorgeous and would have gone with my grandmother's couches. Lol
Yeah I'm not necessarily partial to this type of glass. But that is probably my favorite color of glass.

Love the glass episode.
Yes. I have learned that clear glass has to be pretty unusual for it to sell very well.

I'll be looking out for that canoe. I will be in touch if I find it.
cool hat
I am a sucker for green glass. I’ve got a couple of pieces that belonged to my great grandmother that I love.
Green is where it's at. I especially love the bright lime green.

I wonder what's going on there.

I'm a collector of many things. Vintage glass is one of them.
Fabulous glass!
Love it!

Beautiful jug❤
I have the finnland piece but bigger.
Awesome finds. I believe the one you were calling raven's head is by Viking. I have a pair in yellow and it had the viking sticker 😊
Good info! When those stickers come off, it turns into the wild, wild west trying to figure out who made what!
The 2nd to the last lime green serving bowl is Indiana glass.
The Viking pieces are made in New Martinsville West Virginia.

What a cool find! I know that $40 stings, but it's still a bargain!!
I need to go to Christian Crossing!
