I realize it's been some time since you made this video, but really enjoyed seeing the changes you have made to your tractors. I've got a 1967 1057 and wonder how much trouble it was to add those mufflers and what you used. Love to quiet my tractor a bit.

      Hey Brad.
It's beem quite a few moons since I added those mufflers but IIRC they are the OEM Wheel Horse mufflers found on the last 10-12HP Wheel Horse models Toro made.
I ordered them from one of the popular L&G eqt parts suppliers, but unfortunately I don't recall which.
They just clamp on the old dashpot muffler extension pipe with a muffler clamp.
I had to extend the oil fill/dip stick inorder to check the oil easily because the muffler makes it harder to access the dip stick but it wasn't impossible to access, just harder.
They do quiet the engine down and I've not had any nedative effects from running them.
      Thanks for watching 👍
      Dave

Do you have a video showing how you replace the pair of belts on the deck of the 856?

Sorry for the late reply, hope you've already got it done. If not email me at volfandt1@yahoo.com and I can explain. I don't have a video unfortunately.

The 867 is a short frame 6 speed and should mount the same as your 856 or 876.

The problem I ran into was the 6sp transaxle pulley was pushed out past where the 3 sp transaxle was. This caused the drivebelt to be at such an angle that the belt wouldn't stay on. The drive belt cover wouldn't have worked with it either.
If I changed over to a later model drive pulley and PTO clutch setup it would have lined up the pulleys. But all my implement drive pulleys wouldn't have worked nor lined up so I decided to to keep it stock and go for an HST model dedicated to the sicklebar mower.
I may do a pictorial VLog on the attempted swap one day. Thanks for watching.

@@davesdiyadventures848 Very informative explanation, thank you. Looks like the 876 was your best bet after all. I have an 877 and an 867 but have never had a sickle mower. I am currently working on updating the clutch to the slightly newer style that uses the clutch disks.
