    I just watched this again and not only do you show how to build it without any special parts but with the clips showing where your soldering one could actually learn how to read a electronic print (schematic) as well! wish I could have seen these when I first started out-sure would have made my life easier lol

    Just built this circuit today using all amd parts on a piece of proto-board. I didn't have any 2n3904 so I used BC817's. It worked quite well - better than i thought it would actually ☺
    Edit: Forget to mention, I also only used 2 AAA batteries to power it and it still worked pretty good!

    I've watched a bunch of your videos and they are all completely amazing and so very inspiring. I'm an amateur at DIY electronics, and I've never seen a board made like this. I can etch my own, but I think this way of making a board is very cool! thank very much you sir!

    Hey daz, awesome! I'd like to build a boost converter to power the front end amplification stage, with a MOSFET or high power BJT transistor as the front end rf amplifier; with only a single 9V or 12V battery or even an electric bike battery... perhaps a daisy chain could be useful on the front end and the frequency may be altered within the VHF range to some non-interfering channel

Can I ask a resistor and a capacitor is one positive and one negative each side like a LED .if I hold a capacitor with the number facing me like it says 103 the left side and the right side witch one is positive. +Edward Symons
      The coil is made from 0.6mm Diameter enamelled wire ,the wire does not need to be enamelled wire,you
      can use any solid core wire from : 0.4mm upto 0.8mm. And wrap the wire around a 3mm drill bit to make a coil.

    • @dazaro3
      @dazaro3  9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      For most part the frequency is set by the tank circuit. Thats the 33pf capacitor and the inductor ,that the 5 turn coil.
      You can only use a 30pf capacitor. Or 2 x 15pf in Parallel to make 30pf or 2 x 60pf in Series to make 30pf.

    dazaro3 I built this one and it works great, thanks. I modified a small transistor radio so I can receive it outside the broadcast band around 80 MHz. In my case the signal has to go through 3 walls so the range is only 60 meters (~ 60 yards). How can I modify it so I get a little more power, can you recommend a high frequency transistor to replace the 2N3904? Or any other way to boost the signal, maybe an additional stage between the mic amp and the transmitter?

      You can use a simple antenna amplifier which is usually used in apartments houses. Just look for it on Amazon or eBay or next electronic shop. If you change one of the two capacitors (33 pF) to a variable capacitor the oscillator can adjusted in frequency.
