I very much appreciate this video. It is very helpful to see the tools demonstrated!
This video is very helpful. Thank you so much. I need some new tools and your suggestions are wonderful. Thank you for demonstrating everything.
Jennifer~thank you for this video; I have arthritis & fibro myalgia(?)mainly in my hands...this video will help in my investment...looking forward to more of your tutorials!!
Jennifer, your videos are awesome!
Thank you so much!
Thank you for this vid Jennifer. You're calm slow voice really is encouraging especially since I am new to this hobby. (newly retired lol) Two points you mention in your vid blew me away. #1- the longer handle on the tools help a lot when you suffer with hand aches/pain. #2- the close-up of what you're doing- is absolute essential for me. Big huggs.
I’m so glad you found this helpful! If you’re interested, I’m offering beginner wire working classes on Patreon. You can find me under JLC Jewelry Designs. I’m planning to offer a minimum of 2 1-2 hour classes each month for $10/month. I’d love to have you join!
@@JenniferCrum78 Hi. thank you for reply & invite. I'll be honest Jennifer, this retirement life style isn't easy for me. At this time I'm just trying out things to see where I fit. The 'routine' of life has flown right out the window & I'm over whelmed with all the changes. One other change would be how does Patreon work? Technologically challenged is also me. I'm a mess. lol. I do appreciate your offer to include me though. ❤🩹 Thanks ever so much.
The way Patreon works, is you go to Patreon through google and look up my business, JLC Jewelry Designs. As long as people wanting classes stays small, I plan to do the first class as a 1 on 1 through FaceTime. Otherwise, I create a private future livestream through TH-cam for a certain set time. I then put that link in my Patreon and whoever is taking the class, will watch through that link. You will be able to live chat with me. Through signing up with me on Patreon, which is $10 per month, I will be offering at least 2 private classes through the private TH-cam link. You can also ask me questions whenever you need to. If you get stuck on a project, I’ll be able to FaceTime you and give you a mini lesson 1 on 1. I’m still getting a feel for how everything is going to go since it’s brand new to me. I did my first class with someone this week and she had great success and ended up with a beautiful pendant. Overall, I want to give people a great foundation to work off of. Feel free to ask any questions.
@@JenniferCrum78 Thank you for the worthy info. I'll keep everything in mind. Down the road I may take you up on such an offer if it's still offered. It sounds like a great venue to learn on the spot. Greatly appreciate what you have shared.
I’m planning on starting to upload to TH-cam again, or at least livestream me making a pendant. That way people can see that I’m not perfect and make mistakes and I can show how to correct them. I plan on offering the classes on Patreon as long as someone wants to take them.
Very helpful thank you very much. I’ve been kinda lost knowing what to get and what not to get.
It can be tricky. I also highly recommend getting some bent nose pliers to start.
I have an unorthodox use for nylon-jaw pliers in addition to their wire-straightening use: holding jump rings in my dominant hand while I use a jump-ring-opener tool in my non-dominant hand to twist the jump rings. With both tools, I never mar my jump rings when I open or close them.
I’ve never thought about using that for jump rings. I’ve never used the ring tool for opening jump rings. I’ve just always used my short flat nose pliers and chain nose pliers.
Thank you Jennifer I appreciate you explaining everything. I'm having a hard time with wire wrapping, hopefully I'll get there I have a thing a ma jig too I have to see if I still have the pegs somewhere. Thanks!
You’re welcome. Btw, I haven’t been filming, but I plan to be back at it in July. I’ve had a lot of health issues. So that’s why I haven’t posted in a while.
Not a problem I get it, can't wait to see you again.
@@lynneholden6216 I can’t wait to be back to it. I ended up in the ER on Friday with low blood pressure and low oxygen. I found out I have pneumonia in the lower lobe of my left lung. I got it from having bronchitis for the last 6 months and no one would give me the 1 antibiotic that works for it but I finally got it, so hopefully I’ll be back to doing videos soon. I miss it!!!
