I went home to Latchford after this game, and after a few pints in the Cheshire Cheese went home to cry myself to sleep.

Yeah, compare this team to the team ran out against Wigan on the same tour. Langer and Waters weren’t a patch on Stuart and Daley who were much more organised. This looks like a disorganised rabble. Makes me wonder how Waters was ever selected for this level.

This Aussie team wasn't a patch on the great Aussie teams of the '80s and even the 1990 outfit. . A center combo of Florimo and Hill? What a come down from Kenny, Miles and Meninga. Menzies and Furner in the 2nd row? What a come down from Pearce, Reddy, Lindner and Cleal.

Warrington towards the end were putting in a lot of swinging arms in tackles. Typical though, an English club side couldn't beat the Kangaroos so they tried to bash instead which was a shame because Warrington really weren't that bad in this match despite the scoreline.

You do know that the Warrington RLFC have a winning record vs Australia, dont you?

@@jimsavage379 actually, yes I do know that. Warrington were one of the more successful teams against the touring Kangaroos.

    Langer is over rated!

Tigers totally. Watching all these 90 and 94 tour games shows stuart is a lot better and australia looked better when langer wasnt playing , he was good for the broncos but australia had different type of game plan and players to brisbane

@@docgonzalesI agree and I could have played half back for the broncos when you had players like Lewis, Miles, Renouf, Walters and list goes on so who wouldn't look good. Oh I'm also a Queenslander and obviously a Maroon fan but I still say Langer is over rated.

Tigers and Ricky is woefully underrated, his coaching seems to have dimmed his reputation. In 1993 when Stuart broke his ankle second last round the Raiders folded as a team after blitzing everyone that year ( including premiers broncos a couple weeks earlier) , that team had Meninga, Clyde, Daley, Walters, Furner, Mullins, Wiki, Pongia, Lomax...and they folded like a cheap suit when Rick wasnt there. Makes you wonder how much HE made those players look good.

Week in week out Langer was the best halfback in the NRL but in soo and test Ricky performed better. Remember though that langer always got first preference ahead of Ricky for the kangaroos in any 3 test series so it shows selectors obviously rated langer slightly higher.
