I read an interview with the lead singer recently. Apparently, he thinks this song is the greatest piece that he's ever written. He believes that he'll never be able to write anything as beautiful as this again, and apparently that thought causes recurring bouts of depression and melancholy.

Okay, nobody said it yet. I guess I have to: This prelude sounds so much like the Electric Light Orchestra (not just any symphonic rock band) that I can't help but to fall in love with it!
