The Spirit guides you away, out of sin. Becuase you listen.. as much as you can! God forgives. Thankfully. But do your best to obey when you know you can. We all mess up. We all fall short. But we also trust that our Father loves us. More than we know how to love ourselves. Jesus is king, and He will make sure you are kept in His regard. Deuteronomy 31:6 “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you or forsake you”. Believe Him, youre merely human, like me. Ofc were not perfect :) our Lord has taken that into very important consideration.

I don't agree that John is refuting the idea that we "can do whatever we want and still be in fellowship with God". Fellowship here refers to salvation, to union with God, not some general sense of being on good terms with God when you are already saved. John is saying that those who deny the truth about sin and Jesus are not saved. They are not in the light. Being in the light is a soul condition. Those who are saved are in the light. John does say that Christians shouldn't sin, but not because it will cut you off from fellowship with God. If sinlessness was a condition for being in fellowship with God, all Christians would be disqualified.

1 John 1:1-10 is a letter to the Gnostics. If you believe that Jesus is fully God and was while on earth fully man, you may have fellowship with us (not specifically God, but with other believers). His 2nd letter addresses us as his little children and is therefore a letter for us.

You can overcome sin… through Jesus Christ and this proves you are walking in His Light, the Holy Spirit won’t cause you to live unholy. You need to put the flesh to death and ask Jesus to fill you with the Holy Spirit. Anyone in Jesus is a NEW creation and we have NEW desires…
I was saved 11 years ago and Jesus didn’t only save me, He set me free from ALL sin. I was a liar, thief, cheat, blasphemy, lesbian and many more evil things, but the moment I realised me evil condition and ask Jesus to save me, He did and He gave me a new heart,
Stop defending sin and clinging to your evil ways - confess it as sin and ask Jesus to take it away and give you the Holy Spirit to obey,

    • @sheilawilson8691
      @sheilawilson8691 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

We are blameless before God. Our sin nature is dead to God and should be to us as well. How can we who have DIED to sin live any longer therein? And let us not forget He who knew no sin BECAME SIN so that we might become the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus.
1John chapter 1 is written to Gnostics otherwise John would not have needed to reiterate to believers what they already believed and why would John not already have fellowship with people if they were believers?

    • @sheilawilson8691
      @sheilawilson8691 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

God NEVER breaks fellowship with us because He said that He will never leave us or forsake us. It's our evil conscience that condemns us not God.

How are we able to be sure that we have come to KNOW Jesus?
    1 John 2:3-4 tells us

3 And by this we know that we have come to know him, if we keep his commandments.
4 Whoever says “I know him” but does not keep his commandments is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
So, the Bible clearly says that whoever says they KNOW Him but does not keep His commandments(plural) is a LIAR!! Plain and simple.
You do not know Him, but I know Him. If I said I did not know Him, I would be a liar like you. But I do know Him, and I keep His word.
The gospel that is taught to many people today has been reduced down to just "faith alone". This false gospel of "faith alone" has made following the commandments of Christ null and void. Obeying His commandments have been eliminated from the gospel and have been made subsequent and optional to salvation. Walking in the Spirit has been made optional as well. This false gospel of "faith alone" changes what Jesus said in Matthew 7:14 - For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few.
Instead of following the biblical teaching on salvation in Christ, they follow this false gospel which tells them that they can be saved by "faith alone", apart from having to keep the commandments of Christ.
By teaching that we do NOT need to keep the commandments(plural) of Christ as the gospel, the saving power of the gospel has been neutralized. The end result is that millions of people have been deceived by the devil's masterpiece into thinking they have eternal life in Christ when they actually do not.

The Only Conspiracy in this world is the Mystery of the Gospel.
And the Mystery is this - The Gospel of Jesus Christ will survive to accomplish its intended purpose.
Surrender to God to figure out what that purpose is for you. His purpose is through much adversity of evil, in light of the spirit of error coming from the AntiChrist and all of the world, He will, yet, save you.
    (I John 4:3)
So His Purpose is Fixed on you, my friend . . . In that Christ died for you while you were yet helpless (Romans 5:5-8)(I John 4:14)
. . . that you, through salvation in Christ, will discern and overcome the world, which is currently working to create hoaxes to deceive you away from your Hope, which is in Christ, the very Life of Christ, which is indwelling you. (Romans 5:10)(I John 4:6)(I John 4:13)
If you believe in Jesus, He will give you the:
    Spirit of Revelation (Revelation - I John 1:2) (God's Light - I John 1:5-9)(John 14:6 - Jesus is the Way)
Spirit of Truth (I John 5:5-6)(John 14:6 - Jesus is our Truth)
Spirit of Wisdom of Life (I John 1) "What was from the beginning, what we have heard, what we have seen with our eyes, what we have looked at and touched with our hands, concerning the Word of Life" (John 14:6 - Jesus is Very Life)
As a believer in Christ, you should be equipped with the proper tools to interpret pertinent future and present day events in order not be deceived by the spirit of error coming falling on those who will fall away. By the Will of God, get prepared for soon the spirit of AntiChrist will be totally unrestrained, by the Will that is in the judgment of God. (Romans 14:12)(I John 4:17) - "By this, love is perfected in us, so that we may have confidence in the day of judgment"
Therefore, let this be an important principle for you in the End Times - (Roman 12:9) "Let Your Love Be Without Hypocrisy"
Here is another (I John 5:4) - "For whoever has been born of God overcomes the world; and this is the victory that has overcome the world - Our faith."

At 37:18 I give thanks to the Lord that you are teaching His Word, but please, please study a bit more precisely, allowing Scripture to comment on Scripture.
"Walking in the light" (or "walking in the darkness") has nothing to do with our committing sin (or our abstention from sin). Committing a sin does not remove us from fellowship (i.e., partnership) with God, or else we would lose our salvation every time that we commit a sin (no matter how small).
"Walking in the light" means FOLLOWING JESUS, in the light of the knowledge of Jesus and His salvation!
    Want proof? See John 8:12.
    God bless!

It is apparent from the first few minutes of your lecture that you do not understand 1 John chapter one, but you propagate the popular false teachings being taught in today’s seminaries and Bible schools. So I’m going to send you, in love, a detailed lesson on the true meaning of 1 John 1:8 in its context. 1John 1:8
“If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.” (I John 1:8) Many have used this verse to try to prove that no believer in Christ can be without sin, but closer scrutiny of the context shows that John was talking about an altogether different concept that had already begun to be taught, and would continue to be propagated throughout the church age. This doctrine teaches that once a person becomes a believer, sin is no longer an issue, that once he is under grace, (or under the blood of Jesus, as some would say) he can never again be held accountable to God for sin. They will boldly say: “When Jesus forgave my sins, He forgave all my sins, past, present, and future.”
Let us now, in the light of this statement, examine the context of I John 1:8. Verse 5 says: “This then is the message which we have heard of Him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in Him is no darkness at all.” This verse proves that there is no darkness (sin) in God, and verse 6 says: “If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, (sin) we lie and do not the truth.” This shows clearly that anyone that has sin, while claiming to be in fellowship with God, is not doing, by works, the truth. Verse 7 says: “But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we fellowship one with another, (us with God) and the blood of Jesus Christ His son cleanseth us from all sin.” This shows that in order to be in fellowship with God. We must be walking in the light exactly as He is in the light (see chapter 2:6, 3:7 & 4:17) and the blood of Jesus will keep us cleansed from all sin.
So we see that the one who says that he has no sin, because he is somehow positionally without sin, while his experience is that he does have sin, is the one who is deceiving himself and the truth is not in him according to the context of I John 1:8. This false doctrine is also called “state and standing,” declaring that though your state of being is sinful, your standing with God is that you are sinless. John’s solution to this situation, that if we find ourselves deceived and come to our senses, is: “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteous.” (I John 1:9) Then we can truly say that we have no sin. But if we persist in saying that God somehow justifies us in our sin, by saying that no matter what I do I’m already forgiven, and so technically I have not sinned, we make Him a liar and His word (truth) is not in us, according to verse 10.
Why did John write all this? The next verse says, “My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if (not when) any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: and He is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.” (I John 2:1 & 2) In chapter 1 vs.4 John says that he was writing these things that their “joy may be full,” in chapter 2 vs. 1 he says that he’s writing these things that they: “sin not.” So what is full joy? It’s when we are free from sin. Read on in the context through verse 6 for even more understanding.
The whole book is full of encouragement that we have been set free in Christ. Notice especially chapter 3 verses 1-10. Verse 3 has been used to say that we are not yet pure and that we must submit to a process of purification, but the overwhelming scriptural evidence shows that we have already been purified in Christ. (I Peter 1:22, 23, I Timothy 1:5, 3:9, 2 Timothy 1:3, 2:22, 2 Peter 3:11, to site a few) The true meaning of the text is that we keep ourselves pure, even as He is pure, as Paul exhorted Timothy. “Keep thyself pure.” (I Timothy 5:22) As you read on in I John notice also chapter 5:17-19, here we see clearly that it is the world that lies in the power of the wicked one, not the believer in Christ who has been delivered. (See Colossians 1:13)
We must understand that the purpose of saving faith is to purify our hearts. “And (God) put no difference between us and them, (Jew and Gentile) purifying their hearts by faith.” (Acts 15:9) Jesus said “Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.” (Matthew 5:8) And Paul said, “But without faith it is impossible to please him…” (Hebrews 11:6) “Who (Jesus) gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.” (Titus 2:14) "Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently: Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.” (1 Peter 1:22&23) ❤️
