FortiGate Initial Setup - FortiSwitch and FortiAP

Today we're setting up a FortiSwitch and FortiAP to be managed by our FortiGate.
This is a basic setup and not intended to be in-depth.

Gud jerb! I remember when I first started learning FortiOS. The steps needed to do basic firewall and routing stuff seemed a little convoluted compared to what I'd used over the years. One gotcha in particular was when I decided to tear down an SSL-VPN tunnel and make another one. Learned (through frustration) that you have to make sure to disconnect any and all objects from it before you can delete it. Oh... what a day! haha

I have not done it myself (I stick to hardware mostly) but I know many people that do that.
Biggest thing would be to simply direct the APs to their wireless controller via something like DHCP.

Cool Video. Where do you control Anycast, Mulitcast, Unicast and Apple Bonjour? So when Printer are hooked up for the connectivity. Also is there an easy solution for SSID PSK Key Rotation let's say all 90 days which sends the new PSK 1 Day before to a specifi mail address?

Thanks for the easy walkthrough. With this design, would you be able to ping between wireless and wired networks? Or is there additional steps needed?

Yes! I didn't set this up to be a very secure lab so both networks can talk to anything due to the second and third firewall policy.

How to access fortiswitch via gui after fortilink configuration?

The idea is that you will not need to access the FortiSwitch directly after it becomes FortiLink managed.
There are very few commands that can only be input directly on the FortiSwitch that won't be overridden by the FortiGate.
