The usual very high level of technical proficiency we've all come to expect over the years. Choreographically a little vanilla and Riccardo's solo entry rather lame and meaningless I thought. Alot of their show dances are just not interesting or entertaining enough for me. From an 8 time world champion and their many years experience as No1 I guess I'm looking for a little more than a superbly danced competition routine.
Davina. Riccardo is not one of my all time favourite male dancers for numerous reasons, the point you highlight is but only one of them. For all their technical ability and achievements for some reason I've not been able to warm to them as a dance partnership. He reminds me of a man riding a horse. You pull the reins to the left the horse goes left, you pull to the right the horse goes right, you pull hard backward the horse stops you give the horse a little kick the horse moves. He just doesn't do enough on the floor for me. Having said that, oh my what a good horse he rides though.
Joe Testa you obviously know more about dancing than me but I thought that there was supposed to be more emotional expression right? Like Torvil and Dean ice skaters they never lost eye contact in some of their routines.
Cynthia Brine. Jealous? No not a bit. What is noticed and being commented on here is that Riccardo does in perhaps an effort to be entertaining project his attention to the audience quite a bit, rather than keeping his focus and energy toward Julia which for me would be more appealing. I personally don't like when dancers play to the audience for their applause too much. If the performance is really good the audience will freely let you know they are with, you don't need to bash it out of them. If an audience is not engaged its almost always because there's something lacking in the performance.
Вы им объясните правильную технику,при том,что они призеры чемпионата мира?)они легенды бальных танцев,у них идеальные движения,а с годами ещё и наполненные чувством и кайфом.может вы конечно представитель какого нибудь другого направления танцев,но ваши движения же не называют комичными
