The use of a smaller kit, kick technique, kit sound, dynamics, all wonderful. Would be an honor to play on stage with a drummer of your caliber one day. recently, we were driving in the car with my 8 year old son, whom I'm trying to teach to play the drums little by little... and we were listening to this version, shaking our heads like Wayne's world.. and I swear to you, he can barely play a couple of basic rhythms, but that doesn't stop him at all and then he told me; Dad, I want to go to my room to play 2 minutes to midnight with you right now!!! brother, I stopped the car and hugged him for like fifteen minutes thanking God for giving me a kid who likes the Irons❤
So I have this big 7 piece kit and recently told my daughter (also a drummer) that I may take lessons to get some new ideas. She told me to play a 4 piece and make yourself play songs with less and think outside the box. This totally inspires me to do that even more. Thanks to you and my 15 yr old daughter for the inspiration.

I had an 8 piece kit a few years back and it was such a hassle getting it from one place to another, but making my kit smaller didn't really diminish my playing, if anything it made me better as I had to practice and get used to it. Alright, I have checked out/viewed a few other drumming covers from other fellows and girls as well. As good as they are, there is something lacking. IMHO Brandon Bolt has something that the 'others' don't have, what ever it is, call it skill or interpretation or even Mojo or a combination of all listed. This drummer 'IS' the drums. Unbelievable.
I've watched two of his Maiden covers and he plays loose and in the pocket the entire songs. IMO, This is due to his excellent sense of timing. He has awesome rhythm also. He looks like he can fall into a groove and play it all day.

It's superb especially given the size of the kit and the nature of the song. Am currently hunting more videos with baited anticipation.

Dam this song is so complex on so many levels I just learnt the guitar from Mike Gross on here and that is wicked hard to the lyrics are amazing just a beautiful song and you nailed the drums the timing is so deadly no wonder these guys are amongst the best in the world for real :-)
