800 gal. Tank is cool. It will be amazing when all dialed in. Glad you have a nice school of fish instead of only a few big fish. The school of smaller fish is much more interesting to watch.
I had to LOL when you showed the above view because in a previous video you were downsizing and now you have more tanks then you did then. A true fish guy LOL
❤ this style of content has been a while glad am here. I'm going to keep the subscription this time, and that's to the person who gave the subscription to bring me back 🎉🎉🎉😊
We all think it would be fantastic to have a million gallon tank. Until you actually see something like the 800. Way too difficult to work on, scape, clean, catch fish, gravel vac, etc. I think I'll stick with my 75! Ok, I might get a 125 hahaha. After this video, it's feeding time and my latest ACO order showed up last night with my cool tee shirts and both new magic foods. Looking forward to seeing the mid water feeding 😀. Have a great day my friend!
@4:20min Your dwarf sag tank looks like my dwarf sag tank- time to mow that lawn! I don't know what it is about dwarf sag, but I love pulling it out and seeing its long clean roots. Thank you for another great video! Yeah buddy!
The molly mama looks so chill and relaxed in the breeding box. The standard clear one always seems to stress my fish out, even with plants for shelter. The crypts in the guppy tank ARE bazonkers! great video.
I love this stuff...I now with your running your company that these are few and far between...I get so many good ideas from just these somehow. Thank you
@AquariumCoop Cory, the 800 gallon would be a great tank to test other lights. It's pretty much a worst case scenario for any light. Buy all the big name brands and create a video/series of videos where you test them head to head! This would allow you to find a light you want to carry and create an incredible resource for those looking to buy a light. You could even involve the viewers and create polls where people vote on which one is "better". This would ultimately tell you what kind of light your audience wants. You've talked about wanting to do videos like Lowell- here is your chance.
Great footage I love your tanks I wish I could get my Val to grow like that in my 75 that is so beautiful to me I’m sure the fish are happy for the trim though lol
Thanks for a great video! Love seeing your thought processes and testing methodologies in real time, it really helps see how to apply similar strategies in my own hobby experiments.
Build a tall hard scape island, fake wood potentially, rising 3/4 of the way up. Cover it in Epiphytes. Lots of large plants high up in the structure. Focus the lights toward the center of the aquarium, shinning down on the island with strong light. Avoid hitting the sides of the tank and avoid access algae on glass.
Love these style videos! - quick edit while im watching. Because that overhead filter is so loud, i would just fill it with a ton of plastic media balls like a wet/dry filter to cut down the noise and have the added bonus of a wet/dry.
I am a little tired of reaching to the bottom of my 22" deep tank, for plants and such, I think that is a good depth limit for me. I put root tabs in with a hose that just fits a root tab and a fiberglass rod that just fits inside the hose to push it out, works well, and keeps my hands and sleaves out of the water. The fiberglass rod is a snow pole for marking a driveway, from Home Depo.
That really really sucks that the aquarium co op light was discontinued. I have a new 55 gallon I want to set up and had fully intended on purchasing one of your lights for it.
Corey, have you ever entertained using a pond filter with the backwash ability on the 800? You could plumb it in and avoid the 30 min maintenance session. I’m sure you have, I just wonder why it got dismissed?
For me it's mostly sound. The backwashing filters tend to run pretty loud as well as the pumps to run them. Also I've found other pond filters to not be leak proof. Outside a drop every 1 minutes doesn't matter. Inside that becomes a puddle.
I believe my cpd's were breeding and I now have a unique baby different color than the rest . Albino or some type of color mutation. Have you seen anything like that with cpd's?
I had val in one of my tanks, it grew so thick that a poor corydora got trapped between a strand and the glass and died. I pulled it all out after that.
That first tank is just way to tall for plants. Either you have to add A LOT more light or use plants like water poppy or mini pond lily that have floating leaves. Or crypt balansae. Adding ferts is not gonna work here imho.
Yea his theory about it being too much light is WAY off the mark, he needs to add WAY more light to that tank and way more plants and it will look nice, he’s just feeding the algae right now with the billed and light because there’s like no plants and 100s of fish
I got a new, fancy (expensive), full spectrum light for a betta tank. It's too bright! Lol. The betta won't come to the surface to feed if that light is on. 😑
I wonder if you may not be happier selling that huge tank to a monster fish person and instead using that space for a bunch of more manageable tanks. Mind you, it has a lot of potential to look awesome but the amount of maintenance is daunting 😮
I wonder why he doesn't use them? It's the first thing I thought of when I had algae in my 29, one nerite snail did the trick. Though tbf if I had a way to dim my aquarium light, I'm sure the algae would go away, or at least not grow so much lol
That's fine. That's a youtube thing that I don't have control over. There are zero ads during the video. I agree that youtube is going overboard on ads, but if I don't have the pre-roll ad which can be a single 5 second skippable ad, to a 2 hour movie that sneaks through, it'll never get shown. You got short stick with it trying to serve you 5 ads.

I also enjoy the longer format videos that are less edited. Especially on my lunch break when I have a huge plate of teriyaki to go through.
I know it’s a lot of work on you Cory, but this is the content I started following you for. And the reason I’ve been a member for 4 years
Longform is definitely my favorite, but there's room for everything! I love watching the longer videos while I'm working
I had to LOL when you showed the above view because in a previous video you were downsizing and now you have more tanks then you did then. A true fish guy LOL
Awwwww yeahhhhhhh love me some longform content. Gonna use this video to catch up on some maintenance while watching you catch up on maintenance.
The way you’ve arranged everything in your fish tank creates such a calming and beautiful sce
You know the old school hanging out in the fish room videos are my favorites.
👍❤️👍
I enjoy these longer format videos
I do too
Such a cool behind-the-scenes look! It's amazing to see the dedication and attention to detail that goes into maintaining all those fish tanks. 🐟💦
So refreshing to see such a monster tank with no monsters in there!
Thank you, Cory, for these process videos. Interesting and educational and much appreciated.
Awesome video, thank you for sharing I learn so much from these types of videos

I love the look of that front-to-back lighting!

I love the Clown Loach and Congo Tetra combo!
They look awesome together!
Cory just passing out all our early Christmas presents lately!! So much Coop... loving it!!!

Oh my God, you gave the tank bangs😂
AWESOME! would love to see update on the plat balloon molly!

I do water changes by backwashing through my hardplumbed 2262s. Definitely extends the time between a thorough service.

I've loved those above tank filters for my outdoor goldfish stock tank ponds.
I’ve had good luck with CPD’s of course. I also currently have Vietnamese White Clouds I am trying with some neos…🤞🤞🤞
I like the spotlight/floodlight effect on the back wall,
Maybe try putting the UV sterilizer on a small battery backup to avoid it resetting to being off.

"That ACO guy"makes me laugh every single time!
Keep up the good work, hopefully you can find someone to manufacture the lights again.
Have MD fish tanks and Fish Shop Matt come redo the 800!!!!
Their designs would just cause it to require 10x's more maintenance, more frequently.
This was great
If you guys make a green or black 5 gallon bucket with your logo and some measurements printed on it, i would definitely buy a few for my fish room .

I asked for a bio master 350 thermo canister for Christmas. It’s a trade off, easier to clean inside the tank, but now it will be outside maintenance.
That really really sucks that the aquarium co op light was discontinued. I have a new 55 gallon I want to set up and had fully intended on purchasing one of your lights for it.
Replant the tall plants in the 800?
Thanks for the video.
49:13 weird voice saying "Captions" made me jump. LOL
You should create a TH-cam screensaver of your 800 gallon tank and every time you change your fish

Great video
Put one of those cone strainers on the drain of your bucket so the pad doesn’t shift and block off the drain
I know its expensive but what about Ozone for appearance?
I don’t see any ads. I watch on and ipad and i havent allowed youtube to update. Maybe that’s the difference
Couldn’t you put that cannister filter on a rolling shelf so you dont have to lift it out?
I could yeah, it would take some fabrication for sure.
I believe my cpd's were breeding and I now have a unique baby different color than the rest . Albino or some type of color mutation. Have you seen anything like that with cpd's?
Large rock pile in middle of 800 gallon, add some tropheus, shell dwellers down below, let it go crazy
What kind of fish are those again?
Holy crypt. I’m jealous
Do you find all those MTS in the Saffron Molly to be a nuisance or problematic?
I had val in one of my tanks, it grew so thick that a poor corydora got trapped between a strand and the glass and died. I pulled it all out after that.
Nice
"Tha Taco Guy" 😝
Dat Aco Nerm
I have an fx6, title 110 and a huge sponge filter on my 75 gallon. I haven’t cleaned the canister in over 2 years.🤦🏽♀️I hate it!

I think he knows what he’s doing lol
Agree guys. add some dirt or something and cap it with sand and then the gravel. His plants will thrive.
Walmart has white food grade buckets without printing on them.
I almost have a val tank like that lol.
When I grit my teeth and face cleaning the canister filter not only do I get wet but the two poodles, floor and everything nearby.
What happened to fish unboxing videos? I miss those.
Did one like a month ago or so.
I got a new, fancy (expensive), full spectrum light for a betta tank. It's too bright! Lol. The betta won't come to the surface to feed if that light is on. 😑
I just got 2 comm.pellets
he he the video i was waiting for :D
Wouldn't more plants also help to fight the algae?
I wonder if you may not be happier selling that huge tank to a monster fish person and instead using that space for a bunch of more manageable tanks. Mind you, it has a lot of potential to look awesome but the amount of maintenance is daunting 😮
fill the 800 gallon with Anubias Barteri!!!
👍🏻👍🏻
Add 30 ramshorn snails, never have green glass again. Personal truth.
Clown loaches will have them for lunch.
You need a lot more fast growing plants. You have an excess of nutrients which is feeding algae.
Do buy fishes from Guyana
18:24 hyger sucks
nerite snails would do a much better job than all those fish and pumps
I wonder why he doesn't use them? It's the first thing I thought of when I had algae in my 29, one nerite snail did the trick.
Though tbf if I had a way to dim my aquarium light, I'm sure the algae would go away, or at least not grow so much lol
@@trippin9899you can dim your light with tape. I put either white or green masking tape over some of the light on my 29g and it helps a lot!
Clown loaches eat nerite snails.
@@AquariumCoop how unless they flip there’s no way get to them
bazonkers, heheheh
5 ads before the video will even start. Won’t watch now.

I would put an insane amt of plants in that 800. Jungle Val would look awesome. Just my opinion of course. 😁☮❤🐠🦐🪴🪴🪴🪴🪴🪴🪴🪴
