I think it is pretty cool that this team can engineer and manufacture this drone, from concept to flight. I don’t care what the critics say.

For a small and not so sophiscated shop to build and assemble such an aircraft, think about all the supplies and parts that are involved, we can see why China is the front runner of UAVs.

@@keithspencersr.6806 Crooked politicians are the problem. Politicians were paid off by big business to allow Free Trade Areas! First it was the North American Free Trade Agreement, where import and export taxes were eliminated. This allowed big business to move their manufacturing plants to Mexico and Canada and not pay any import duties or export. When the import tax is eliminated the workers in the USA lost their jobs because their wages were higher than in Mexico or Canada. If the Government kept the Import Taxes on the products manufactured out of the country the cost of manufacturing would be equal so there would not be an advantage to move the manufacturing plants out of the USA! This is the purpose of Import and Export taxes. There was a time when our Federal Government was financed completely by Import taxes, this was before they allow Income Taxes! Income taxes were first implemented after the Civil War which was minimal. In 1913 is when the Income Tax as we have today was started. Now with the passage of the Free Trade Agreements by the Democrats and RINO’s the government is supported mostly by Income Tax!

There are numerous countries which have the technical know-how and resources to match China but they don't have the cheap labor. Also, they're not as highly skilled as you think. I worked in the Automotive industry in Australia and it was well known that the end goal was to get the Chinese to do our jobs because it was cheaper. The problem was that they weren't up to the required skill level so the work was never sent off shore.

One thing I find wrong with the build is they should have put landing gear wheels on it, in case or when a motor fails, they could still hopefully land/glide it as a plane without or with less damage!
Also, what happened to the first one they were showing us of a different design? From the look, it might have been a Military variant they weren't allowed to show to finish? Just a thought.🤔🤔

The Drone is amazing... much respect for their building and design, though I wonder about the VTOL fans negative affect on drag/aerodynamics after takeoff. I wonder if their would be a better way to incorporate them into the fuselage or wings that would overcome this.

Most impressive to see how they use the most cost effective tools, supplies and tooling to build these drones. Even the adhesive dispensing is just a plastic squeeze bag in order to shave every last penny of cost. If these same things were to be build in US or Europe they will cost 50x more. We can out design and innovate them but we have no chance in competing with manufacturing cost.

A lot of what we take for granted in the west is kept under wraps in China because it's convenient. I worked in the auto industry and we had some engineers over from China and they were trying to tell us that asbestos is a wonderful material. We had to explain to them that it has been outlawed pretty much everywhere because is it so dangerous. That was a real revelation to them.

Yea, but with materials that wont last longer than a year. I have bought high end Chinese goods and found them lacking in that department. It is all about looks but no longevity. I dont want to down play Chinese ingenuity and craftsmanship. There are a lot of hardworking people there. The problem is with their perception of their leadership on the world and of course their place in it. So much potential being wasted to feed the whims and fancies of little men in power.
