    In the atomic age we live in;
    it is heart warming to know
    that there are humble humanoids loving horses.

    Nice job in leaving out to mention that Sharbattly missed the show the year before because he was banned for doping and only got to the Olympics because his team had enough money to buy him out of the ban and into a special qualification.
    That guy just makes my hackles raise, in the worst possible way.

    Kwpns are nice BUT If I had to choose between a dutch horse and another warmblood for showjumping specifically I prefer Swedish horses more than any other breed. Dutch warmbloods make outstanding dressage horses but when it comes to jumping they have a nasty habit of stretching their head far down low which pulls the rider right out of the seat or rips the reins through your hands. Hanoverian bloodlines as seen in Swedish warmbloods carry the conformation trait which curls the neck at each vertebrae over fences making it much easier for the rider to maintain the reins while keeping keeping moderate slack in the leverage.

      ToxicRikki you don't have to look at horses like that. You can still look at them as pets and still compete at high levels.

      Yes Noelle. I say: " If you look after your horse, your horse will look after you".

      Noelle Price I don’t look at them as pets, or as a business. They are our partners. That is true at every level of the sport

    How is a rider an athlete when the horse does all the jumping with the added 115+ pounds of human on it's back.

    • @jonatanostlund2661
      @jonatanostlund2661 10 ปีที่แล้ว +12

      Haha I think you should try show jumping before you say anything :)

    • @thysnianune1275
      @thysnianune1275 10 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Agreed. It's easier to run five miles out of shape than it is to ride a jumper over two fences.

    • @sharatainx3990
      @sharatainx3990 9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      SleepyDoodle I guess it depends on your definition of what an athlete is. You can always try riding and you'll see you need to use your own brain and muscles to get anywhere. You'll also see you might need to catch your breath and get sweaty too.

    I hate the way it’s man and horse when it’s a women’s sport it is a proven fact that little girls are naturally attracted to horses and little boys are attracted to trains and trucks
