I think you are a great teacher! I often find it easier to eyeball than measure! Another source for thick chipboard is to check a local frame shop to see if they have any scraps of matboard they are discarding.

I've not seen a diy photo album! This is fascinating. Quick question- I have a bunch of those cheap photo book things that cost about a dollar. Could I take those apart and use those for the photo holders? About to start part 2!
