This has been moved to more rice crops. I don't know where the birds have gone but most have disappeared now. Whatever they are doing there its not good all round. Another empoundment has not been repaired and it was the emergency release of that that flooded NLEx for three days last year. More chaos and economic damage. Needs an integrated solution. How about doing what the Angkor-Wat Kingdom did to solve their combined Flooding and Irrigation Problems by using the so-called Barays System of impounding their Rivers. They built a series of Reservoirs and Mini dams along the river’s length to impound and control the flood waters and silts thru a series of mini dams. This will also solve the perennial flooding by Marikina River if properly done by also Dredging it to a certain depth and widening that can be computed by experts in hydraulics. Moreover, to further solve the flooding in the MM Area, the flood control project no. 4 of building the Spillway from Laguna Bay to Manila Bay should be done. Just commenting.
