I'm digging this truck, not everyone needs a full-size truck and its awesome that they made this Denali. Honestly this mid-size luxury truck doesnt have any competition, I can't think of any other mid-size luxury truck in todays market

I have this truck, came from an AMG Mercedes GLB 35. I’m not sad at it at all. I love the Denali. Comfy, nice and the beds perfect for me. It fits my motorcycle and does everything I need it for. I don’t personally think the Black Package is worth the money considering it doesn’t delete the chrome really at all.
I agree with the blackout package not being worth it. Why call it a black package if it doesn’t do a full chrome delete. Other than that beautiful truck.

@@johnyaskoveakarpaccio4737 I have a 22 Yamaha MT 09. I love the Denali actually. Rides pretty much just as good now and I don’t need anything fast, that’s why I have the bike. The truck is comfy and has literally everything. The AMG was cool but not needed I guess.

Funny...I have a GLB 250 and shopping for a Canyon Denali right now. I will have to figure out how to install ambient/mood lighting on the truck since it's one of the best features of the GLB.
This is by far the most in depth 2023 Canyon Denali review I've seen. Great stuff!

I just took delivery of this exact same truck - absolutely blown away by the ride and comfort. I agree the rear window was a miss on GM's part, but also no garage door opener - really? On a Denali? Anyway, nice review.
I take delivery on my Dinali next week, and this is the first I’ve heard there is no garage door opener. What a total head scratcher. Thanks for the comment.

These are really nice trucks...even the base Elevation trim. I considered getting a 2WD Elevation last week, but the incentives were better on the Sierra Elevation, so I went with the Sierra. When the incentives start hitting these trucks, I am sure they will sell like hotcakes. Great review!

I love it. The only thing that I have an issue with is I went on their site the other day and build one several models to see which one I like the most and when you order the black badges kit, you shouldn’t get chrome mirror, caps, or chrome Dinali or, anything chrome is should be blacked out when you order black out badges everything should be blacked out that would be much cleaner

I have one on order, the Black Edition badges are suppose to be dealer installed according to my order form. It comes from the factory with the black wheels and side steps only.

Have driven the GMC Denali, Beautiful love it, BUT worried about the reliability of the 4bangerturbo will it go 200k miles without problems after all it is a GM product, not Toyota or Honda reliability
I could agree with you, but the vast majority of people will sell it before it even hits 100k... 150k at the most.
I just sold my 2017 raptor and grabbed this because I wanted newer tech. 2017, 120k miles and I held onto it longer than I planned.
i will never undertand some of the mind-sets who design the 'top-tier-trims' all across the board with brands because there always seems to be trade-offs(where there should NOT be); DENALI trim=no led interior lighting,no power slide rear window at almost 60 grand(for a midsize truck) the honda ridgeline top tier is 50k no vented seats,but power rear window,V6 engine=far less expensive but no lift either ...again there are alot of trade-offs to consider; i will say for THIS DENALI has to be the best looking truck even vs the full-sizes but thats all subjective;i feel the chrome accents the dominating black theme,otherwise let's be honest entirely ALL BLACK ,you would not see the truck's figure per se as well,just what i feel.

My buddy has this exact truck in red, if you want to regret the day you were born, buy an black truck, it shows every spec of dirt , every water spot, every hair line scratch, every polish swirl , DON'T DO IT
It REALLY needs the upgraded tailgate with the fold down step like the larger GMC trucks. With that this truck would be MUCH sweeter. The light color inside door handles will get dirty pretty quickly. Is there Nav on the head up display? I agree with you on the power sliding back window. You'd think with a v-4 or V-6, it would get better gas mileage. My 1500 Denali with a v-8 gets better milage than this one.

Canyon and colorado for my personal taste are sexier than the new tacoma and range and really dont like that the tacoma have a snow plow air dam in front and no front tow hooks ...
The Tacoma has front took hooks a d the air dam comes right off in minutes

Looking to upgrade my 2016 Colorado 2.8 Duramax. I thought about getting a larger truck since I tow a trailer for camping, but I like the smaller truck size for going into town and parking. I do like my diesel but I could use a bit more power on larger hills at highway speeds. I really want a video camera system to help with pulling a trailer and parking. I also want something comfortable for longer trips. If this new gasoline engine is more powerful than the 2.8 diesel I am interested. I like the way these trucks look for some reason and this new truck looks better than the 2016 body style.
I agree with you. The 2.7L is surprisingly powerful.. Although, I'm not sure how it would do towing. I'd assume pretty well though because of the high tow capacity rating

Why the hell did that thing crank so long?
No heated rear seats, no paddle shifters, no sports steering wheel, no led interior lights and buttons seem like made with cheap plastic for 60k?

Only real downside to this video is it is a KOONS truck. They have good service but they ALWAYS have markups and they get away with it because they gobble up all of the allocations. I'm going to assume this one is a $5k markup.

Mine arrived this past Monday, returned next day with 23 miles, new rack and pinion system. Dealer took it back. Bought a Toyota

I asked for extended warranty, they said no, I called some people that know some people at Schumacher gmc, and I called gmc directly. Three days later they called me to undo the sale. Bought a tundra. Had a sierra with same engine lose all its oil under. 10 k miles. I’m sorry, I’m done with gmc

I JUST GOT MINE EXACT SAME VEHICLE, ALTHOUGH MINE HAS ALL THE BADGING IS DONE IN BLACK, I AGREE IT SHOULD HAVE A POWER REAR WINDOW AND IT SHOULD HAVE A GARBAGE DOOR OPENER! HAD A 19 ONE OF THESE AND I COMPLAINED TO GM ABOUT THE TWO AFORE MENTIONED DEFICIENCIES!

A few questions. Is it baby car seat friendly? How annoying is to go the the infotainment to turn on headlights? Can you view Google maps from the driver dashboard (not only the infotainment)?
I'd say it's baby seat friendly, might be a little tight though. It's not that annoying to turn the headlights on bc it had a shortcut button. But turning on the fog lights is definitely an extra step. And no, I don't think you can view the maps from the driver display
yes Google Maps appear on the DIC and directions appear on the HUD
Does this Denali have the brake hold feature? Also does the gps being shown on the gauge cluster work with gps through apple car play?
I don't believe it has auto hold. And I'm not sure on the second question.. But I don't believe so
When u did the selector knob for 4wd I noticed a red light flash on upper left of knob I’m hoping that’s to put the transfer case in “N”.
I have my Denali coming mid July (at earliest) I have a choice of deep bronze metallic or this black out edition I’m 59 yrs old an not really liking the black out but after see’n this vid I dig it will be calling my dealer this morning an picking the blackout truck. Back to transfer case did you happen to know how to put in (transfer case) “N”? Dealer has told me it can I have a 21 canyon Denali now that does I need to flat tow behind a motorhome. Anyone know 110% that the 23 can be put in “N” (NOT JUST TRANSMISSION)
I think it was telling me to put the transmission in N. I would've thought that if there was an option to put the transfer case in N that there would be an "N" button where the 4wd controls are

Looks good….not very capable or luxurious though… I’d rather have a RAM Bighorn than this. At least you have a power rear window. I’m kinda shocked how the badge Denali sure doesn’t mean what it used to mean. But….pretty. The exterior stylist did their job well. The interior group, took a few naps. And the engine group should be laid off…pitiful.
Is the storage in the tailgate lockable. If not someone will steal your stuff.

I have a question......do you happen to know how to get the welcome DRL to come on when approaching? I have a 2023 denali that doesn't do this and I can't find the option anywhere in the settings, Thanks in advance!
I'm sure it's somewhere in the vehicle lighting settings. Check there and lmk. This one had the setting on from factory
I checked all the lighting settings and the only thing I could find to get the lights to "welcome" you is when you unlock it with the fob. Nothing about them coming on when in proximity of the truck with the fob (like the mirror leds on my subaru legacy).
I've heard though the MPG on this power train is horrible!

Owned the previous model - nice truck but quality was not that great. Now, they have a Denali which is another rip-off - does not even have gas struts for the hood! Typical GM - let's see how we can screw over customers and cut corners! Think the price of gas struts for the hood would have made the truck that much more expensive? It's overpriced as it stands, and then not have gas struts and a ton of cheap plastic in it!
I agree with you on the struts. Pretty much all GM vehicles for the most part have gas struts
