Why is it possible to lay pipelines for gas and oil around the world, but not pipelines to transport water for extinguishing fires? The water would already be there to extinguish fires and would not have to be transported in insufficient quantities by airplanes. Why is there no money for this?
The problem is not transportation It's getting water away from "Environmentalists" like Gov. Newsom, who devote the water provided by four other states, to Man-made recreational lakes in Northern California instead of to the drought relief and fire prevention that it's ear-marked for.

I guess that large fire can create their own micro climate. They suck in a lot of air to fuel the fire with air/oxygen. I watched a video of a fire tornado and you could see the storm /wind was going on the ground directly in the tornado. I get it can pull wet air from the ocean or from other areas as well
yeah they need leadership training and job experience for when they get out... most of those inmates that help on fires are happy to build job skills and be outside rather than in the prison
Why not use the oldest method of carving up the combustible zones with corridors 100 meters wide with no vegetation to keep fires from spreading once they happen?
