On a quality stereo set where the sound is balanced, everything sounds much better and more natural.

I don’t think they're too loud. IMO where creators go wrong is with the added sounds of roaring blizzards, wind, and torrential rain. That is not pleasant for many of us. This fire FEELS warm, the sound is so rich.
