Better to see on a great video like that than actually traveling to the area. @@paulsmith2279 clearly you have zero understanding about the Amazon, it’s indigenous tribes and history.
The tribe that he visited are more than happy to to welcome tourists, they are contacted tribes by FUNAI, (Brazil’s governmental protection agency for indigenous people. What that means is that they were contacted and introduced to “society” but they still live in the way they chose to, they still have their land protected, and the agency provides them with many things they would struggle without, for free. Please do your research.
Not every tribe has been successfully contacted but many have. The ones that weren’t successfully contacted have been protected by the government for decades and left ALONE.

It needs plenty of tourism as an alternative source of income as well as more of Brazil's military, federal and environmental police to prevent criminals from illegally logging as well providing sustainable way for them to live. As well as the developed nations fulfil their commitments and financially help by putting the money where their mouth is, not only with the credit system but as well helping by tackleling their own problems. Look at what is left of Brazil's forest and compare with the US Europe or China for instance and it will become very clear that they have to live by example and do a lot act cleaning before even start worrying about a country such as Brazil where most of its environmental problems are in its urban areas

Omg how long will you guys be here in Manaus!? I'm an American living here in Manaus and I know a few places here that I think you haven't been to! I would recommend this place called MUSA if you just want to experience the Amazon rain forest and there is a town about 2 hours north of Manaus called Presidente Figuereiro which has some of the most beautiful water falls I have ever seen in my life 😍
