If you use GPU encoding, OBS does not need much CPU. (At least on windows) I heavily suggest to at least try to run OBS and DJ software on the same machine. Telling someone to buy new hardware when there might be an easy software solution is os not gucci 👜 It's literally just a drop down menu. That way you also save to money on an audio interface.

Great video but when you connect the mini plug into your Mac Mini is that mic in? Not all computer like PC has an mic in. I have a Nuc 8 and it does not have mic in. This is why Irig2 has usb input now for the computer.

you will just need a cable from your mixer master OUT to the laptop youre streaming on. just make sure the 3.5mm jack end youre putting into your laptop is going to act as a MICROPHONE. this is the main reason for a irig
I’m not to sure now. Being live is fine. It’s more the saving your live stream Which is the issue. They will mute your audio if it contains certain music
U forgot to mention that if we want to save the broadcast, we have to turn on that option. My set wasn’t saved cause u didn’t mention it. Now I have to redo my entire set.
So much misinformation in this video! OBS is not always required. Some DJ software can broadcast directly to Twitch and other platforms. Even if your DJ kit can't broadcast directly, OBS is not the only option. Connecting a TRS jack to a single output channel of your DJ mixer will only provide a mono signal to your computer. An iRig is a guitar interface - also the wrong thing to use, as guitars are mono.

Why do you need a I rig? Why not just plug the booth output directly from your mixer to the microphone socket of your mac?

Actually just tried it into my phone and it works.... Mac doesnt seem to see it as an external microphone when plugged into jack input

Nah it’s all good to play. But if you save the stream on your channel the songs might get muted

You can set you controller settings to mono through the DJ software. So mono rig and one outlet isn’t an issue
