The physical training in Kalarippayattu is known as Meypayattu. Co-ordination of mind and body is the key of Kalarippayattu training. Kalarippayattu is the traditional martial art form of Kerala.
Kerala I'd one of the predominant and valuable state where all our historic or ancestorial culture is maintaining. I really love the kerelians, they all are multi talented. They mostly inherited to the classical culture. Great great 🙏🙏🙏🙏
Interesting forms. I have seen many martial arts for conditioning. Some were primitive without art, others were art without the primitive force. This implements the primitive desire for movement and simplicity with the art of joint locks and moderate memorization of moves.
this art is not designed for empty handed fighting ,its a war art,you start with training empty handed until you build up your ability to use weapons safely so you dont injure training partners, thats why they strike this way,its a empty handed weapons strike
First of all, in a real fight or in sport fighting like MMA, no one will throw a strike like that, you have to be quite stupid & retarded to throw a strike like that. It's either boxing or basic forward thrust punches, not bitch slapping like in this video. So how the hell can this form defend boxing & real fast & real martial arts kicks from Muay Thai, Karate, or TKD. And a slick, quick, & lighting fast boxer like Mayweather would jab these guys to death, & they wouldn't see what hit them.

It is not that easy as it looks. These techniques do not work in real fight. They will work only if the opponent does not resists.
A rich cultural state victim of mass conversion 🤨
