Far Cry 5... in some weird way has filled a void in my heart. Not the game itself, but the subtle lessons being taught in it, for better or worse. We realize things are never what they seem, and both the good AND bad guys, deep down, think they are doing the right thing. The only thing truly separating us all... is perspective.
Final Fantasy XIV does the same thing in Heavensward and even throughout the rest of the game. You come to a strange land and learn of its betrayals, the Heavens Ward had betrayed the dragons and kept the Dragonsong Wars going for personal gain. By the end, everyones honor amd sacrifice is put into question, YOU the player later on are put into a moral bind when its revealed that the Goddess you serve in the name of "good," is just another Primal like those she tasked you to kill. Many lives sacrificed for you, for what now? Play FFXIV and find out in Shadowbringers.

@@edensgate8346 I've got nothing against it. Perhaps Joseph Seed aka The Father...is perhaps the most forgiving of the Far Cry antagonists. You killed his family, You decimated Eden's Gate. Yet, still, he had the heart to make the offer he made to you at the beginning of the game, wanting a peaceful end. "Put down your guns, you take your friends, you leave me MY FLOCK... and you go in peace." Here, Joseph Seed, a man who lost his brothers and his sister...humbly makes the same offer to us he did at the beginning. If only we had taken it then...
@@EclipsetheGamingDarkling This is a nice way of seeing it, but i believe he made that offer because he was scared of the deputy. I mean this single person pretty much dismantled his whole heavily armed cult more or less by himself. Alot of my friends didn't like this game. I think it's one of the best games I've played on next gen. No, it wasn't perfect. But the story, landscape, soundtrack, and the open world really just made me never want to quit playing. It's crazy that it's almost 5 years since it came out, I still remember getting it on launch day and falling in love with it after the intro. Pretty much all the synthy reinterpretation songs in Far Cry 5, I liked most of all. They sound so peaceful, so out of place in a game with so much violence. I've always gotten the impression that the music is what people under the spell of bliss keep hearing in their head, or what father Joseph hears in his head when he sees everything going according to plan. It kinda implies that they actually do mean well, like so many religious extremists, they actually believe that their way is the best way to create a better world, even though the end, DOES NOT always justify the means. It reminds me of the movie Nightcrawler with Jake Jillenhaal, where he plays a complete psychopath, but when he was making beautiful, moneymaking shots of scenes that he had altered or created, there always was this beautiful, heavenly song, as if that song portrayed how he felt, great, majestic, powerful. As if it was the only time he actually felt good about himself, even though he was an absolute scumbag when he felt that way :P
JefErickson Well the end would be that thousands of people would survive the apocalypse and be able to repair society and the landscape using the bliss as it made the environment flourish with mountains of resources and we see in New Dawn that people do turn into bandits and the world is essentially screwed, Edens Gate could have rebuilt the world and sure it would be extremely violent and overruling for a long time but eventually when everything is repaired society would even out and humanity would return to the greatness it once had except with The Father being the god of the world religion. I would say that having a stable but overruling society is much better than bandits and monsters that only wish to kill and loot unless you join up to kill and loot more innocent people
Agent Dash I wish new dawn was what happened if Eden's Gate won in far cry 5, maybe you start as a Peggie born after the collapse and slowly learn about what happened in far cry 5, could still have a group like the highwaymen but not as huge a threat
@@oncorhynco371 yeah tbh i was really disappointed with the music of new dawn THEY SO EASILY COULD HAVE USED EVEN JUST THIS TRACK for that specific scene at the end of the game but no they didnt. i didnt want them to make it all the same but it is a spinoff it should have some connections

Ubisoft pretty much raised the bar for story driven fps's quite a bit with fc5. I'd say it has affected my personal way of thinking, in terms of what's important.
Every Far Cry game does (though FC5 knocked it out the park and IMO is the best by far). The games are above literally every other FPS out there and it's a damn shame people get so divided over them and so many dislike them. They're brilliant games, 3+4+5 have all been so great.
the underlying story was great but in my mind poorly executed at times. the constant abductions are just stupid/annoying. the "good guys" are always far to trusting. especially the Jacob region the player goes missing for over a week and nobody cares or is able to figure out what happened. and because Rook doesn't talk you cant even tell anyone about the torture sessions. one of the reasons why i hate mute characters. FC3 hat some really good sequences like when he talks with daisy about winning.
@@ADMNtek Those are some valid points. It's not all roses and daisies. Still if they could go upwards and forwards from here and not indulge more in sjw bullshit the next game could really be something.
Have played this game so much. Hope County is almost like my home and listened these songs so much these songs are almost like my lives, lifes anthem or something. Even when i am a European.
"Your friends have been taken & tortured, and it's your fault... Countless lives have been killed, and it's YOUR FAULT... THE WORLD IS ON FIRE, AND IT'S. YOUR. FAULT... Was it worth it?... Was it?" I never felt the weight of my choices... The weight of my actions... Until he said that to me. My heart sank, and my throat tightened, and I knew that I had to just walk away this time... I finally realized that not every problem had to be solved with a bullet...
"but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint." Amen, sister.
Ever had that feeling when you're dreaming, that something blissful was going on, and all of a sudden you are awaken by the alarm? You're still there, in the heavens above, and it feels majestic. But you slowly come down to Earth as seconds pass. You are sad because you are not there anymore. This song gives off that vibe. Absolute bliss. But still, you can sense something sinister in the background. That's why I love it.
I know your probably not going to find my comment. Oh, look you did! In that case, I have something to say: Far cry 5... for me.. was such a great experience. It was filled with love and bullets and fun and a whole buncha stuff that I loved. Now, in 2020, I have to say that far cry 5 is officially in the dead game category. That doesn’t mean it’s dead to me. May we pray together.
When i played this game i wasnt really expecting the outcome of how this ended. And then when i finally noticed all the clues along the way the radio broadcasts , cultist , songs , Word of the Farther and the small things you don't seem to notice. It was all to late i was already at the end and i couldn't go back
And yet the voices that should be heard are being Silent for they now know that the world will not change with one voice. The people that do see whats coming are already one step ahead of the rest
But, god watching us. And He will judge us on what we choose in this moment. I told you that we were living in a world on the brink. Where every slight... every injustice... where every choice reveals our sins. And where have those sins led us? Where have those sins led you? Your friends have been taken and tortured and it is your fault. Countless people have been killed and it is your fault. The world is on fire and it's your fault. Was it worth it? Was it? When are you gonna realize that every problem cannot be solved with a bullet? it was the best speech in the game he really play this role with his passion congratulations, Greg Bryk this beautiful music is so peaceful and serene I'm ready to die right now... take me with you, father...
doesn't technology affect society we spoil ourselves the more of ourselves we think we need, things that are unnecessary we are losing our values and with each other if you continue to use something too much, you swallow it and losing yourself... As for me; I don't care about worldly things anymore... and I don't need them...
I swear, the intro to this game is top tier, you suddenly crash the helicopter, just as The father sings verses from amazing grace while the title opens.
This track really is so powerful and emotional. Gives me goose pimples every time lol. "When are you gonna realize that every problem cannot be solved with a bullet?" This Is my favourite quote from the game. As unhinged and unstable as John is in the game, there is an ounce of truth in what he says. Anyway, bring on far cry 6! 😎
I must play this game again, I need to feel it's healing effects again. This game changed me for once and for all, now it's like a drug. Coming back here every now and then, listening to this music makes my veins heat up and my blood boil. It's a different feeling. A feeling of being free, of not being judged. A feeling of letting all of my problems be right behind me and a feeling of inertia when you first turn on the game. After that moment, every time you start the game, you feel more and more into it and you always think of it when outside of the game world. This game changed me really really much, towards the good side. I started believing in God, and for some reason my anxiety lowered. It's like magic. Everyone, say YES. We will not let their greed, or their immorality, or their depravity hurt us anymore! There will be no more suffering! Accept the bliss.
Hey I’m worried about you If what you are saying is true then you are basically admitting to me that you have been brainwashed into accepting the ideals of this totalitarian cult yourself as a player that plays a facade character of Christianity. Its’s a front to seem inviting and to pretence the love bombing phase all cults share. As a Christian i found fighting the cult in the game extremely satisfying. They are truly deceivers, beautiful angles of light that lul our god given in-ate wisdom to sleep. Joseph Seed very much sees himself as the new coming of Jesus and or as powerful as god. He is essentially the character type of Satan himself. Real true benevolent christianity doesn’t require drugs to disorder the mind of its disciples. Christianity is the only religion that doesn’t eat you alive the more you practise and worship it because it places selfless making positive charitable differences in others lives and serving god above all else. God unlike man isn’t flawed, this makes worshiping god safe in the knowledge that you will not be led astray. With great unlimited power and an army of mindless subservient zombies man will always lead you astray due to inherit flaws such as ego. Many of the claims this cult argues are spiritually true but half are hogwash ego driven propaganda designed to enslave the would be disciple. The moment you question the validity of the cult, immediately it points out the spiritually truthful nature of some of its claims. Cults always mix truth with lies to create what I call deception salad. I like to see this game as a metaphor for the war in heaven that happened after Satan recruited fallen angels to be his demons. I hope your doing well. Remember to practise gratitude as often as possible! God bless ❤
No matter what the problem is, we as a species will overcome, stay strong my friends, and we will, one day, see a brighter tomorrow, let’s march forward, together.
Your friends have been taken and tortured and it's your fault. Countless people have been killed and it is your fault. The world is on fire and it's your fault.

Honestly Far Cry as a series is possibly my favorite shooter. At first it’s almost cookie cutter but then you upgrade and become something even COD protagonists aren’t.
When one of my kids trip over the desk and fall on the floor while running amid my lesson (I told him three times to take his seat) and starts crying. Instead of saying "Oh I told you" I just hug him and comfort him. In such moments I play this song in my mind :D "Now He is a keeper"

What I love the sort of trick the music gives here. With most villain music, you're meant to feel uneasy or intimidated, but with this one, your relaxed and you know it's wrong.
Joseph was right all along.

@@faithseed1529 Yeah guys.
That is what I say. Where did it get anyone? Death and destruction.
Your cult is evil
The music is blissfully uplifting. Definitely a GOTY contender, Far Cry 5.
If this plays in New Dawn when you meet Joseph Seed, then it deserves 5/5 stars.
Holly shot that'd be amazing
Lmao spoilers no it dosent
@@oncorhynco371 yeah tbh i was really disappointed with the music of new dawn THEY SO EASILY COULD HAVE USED EVEN JUST THIS TRACK for that specific scene at the end of the game but no they didnt. i didnt want them to make it all the same but it is a spinoff it should have some connections
Far Cry 5 is a piece of art. The setting, the story, the vibes. Music like this from "just a game" proves it. It's the best ubisoft ever made.
So heavenly...
TheIceWarrior agree brotha
Yeah...
TheIceWarrior yup
feels like i'm entering the edens gate....
You also hear the song playing in Faith's second Hallucination. That's why I found it!
Great music and the best soundtrack in the game.
I heard this song at the beginning of the game if I remember correctly, when the truck crashes off the bridge

Joseph Seed alright, i join to cult. I know...God is watching us...
DEɢᴏᴅ ᴢᴇᴜᏚTHUNDERBOLT See, was it so hard? Your friends fight against a force of good that is trying to set you free from corruption. Let you live a free life full of love and harmony. Not a life full of demands and fear of something happening to us for not following instructions. Say no to a life like that.
Welcome to Edens Gate
Joseph Seed water will wash our sins...i need see the bliss...
Ubisoft pretty much raised the bar for story driven fps's quite a bit with fc5. I'd say it has affected my personal way of thinking, in terms of what's important.
Gonken88 same tbh
Every Far Cry game does (though FC5 knocked it out the park and IMO is the best by far). The games are above literally every other FPS out there and it's a damn shame people get so divided over them and so many dislike them. They're brilliant games, 3+4+5 have all been so great.
I enjoyed far cry 5 a lot, though the lack of decision making was really sad. And also that you couldn't choose a good ending at all.
the underlying story was great but in my mind poorly executed at times. the constant abductions are just stupid/annoying. the "good guys" are always far to trusting. especially the Jacob region the player goes missing for over a week and nobody cares or is able to figure out what happened. and because Rook doesn't talk you cant even tell anyone about the torture sessions. one of the reasons why i hate mute characters. FC3 hat some really good sequences like when he talks with daisy about winning.
@@ADMNtek Those are some valid points. It's not all roses and daisies. Still if they could go upwards and forwards from here and not indulge more in sjw bullshit the next game could really be something.
"You judge me, you judge us. People say that I'm crazy, but when you wake up and look at the same news that i do? Do your eyes not fill with horror? "

we must fix it with flex tape!
Have played this game so much. Hope County is almost like my home and listened these songs so much these songs are almost like my lives, lifes anthem or something. Even when i am a European.

"I did not ask for this... I was chosen."
~ Joseph Seed
"Your friends have been taken & tortured, and it's your fault...
Countless lives have been killed, and it's YOUR FAULT...
THE WORLD IS ON FIRE, AND IT'S. YOUR. FAULT...
Was it worth it?... Was it?"
I never felt the weight of my choices... The weight of my actions... Until he said that to me.
My heart sank, and my throat tightened, and I knew that I had to just walk away this time... I finally realized that not every problem had to be solved with a bullet...
@S S Bro
I think the author meant that about our sins in this life at the same time. We were being spoken to, not just as the players, but as human beings.
He is our Father. And we are his children 💐
"but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."
Amen, sister.
The Far Cry Series despite its problems. gave us REALLY awesome villains plus an amazing soundtrack to booth. really enjoyed playing FC4 & 5
I don't understand why a lot of people don't like this game, it's the best far cry !
Meanwhile we have something like new dawn and lemme just say WHAT IN THE EVER-LOVING F:)K WHOS IDEA WAS THIS?!?
The ending and the marshal scene, the music, the vibe, the message. It really madd me stop plying and think about existence.
I know your probably not going to find my comment. Oh, look you did! In that case, I have something to say:
Far cry 5... for me.. was such a great experience. It was filled with love and bullets and fun and a whole buncha stuff that I loved. Now, in 2020, I have to say that far cry 5 is officially in the dead game category. That doesn’t mean it’s dead to me. May we pray together.
This song is so peaceful
This game was great... I hope this will be nostalgia over a few years. For me it will be.
It still is for me
so is it nostalgia now?

“I told you… We’re living in a world on the brink.”

I swear, the intro to this game is top tier, you suddenly crash the helicopter, just as The father sings verses from amazing grace while the title opens.
3:41
Now he's our shepherd...
Now he's our captain...
Now he's our keeper...
Now he's our father, he's gonna lead us down that path.
This track really is so powerful and emotional. Gives me goose pimples every time lol.
"When are you gonna realize that every problem cannot be solved with a bullet?"
This Is my favourite quote from the game. As unhinged and unstable as John is in the game, there is an ounce of truth in what he says. Anyway, bring on far cry 6! 😎
It took me 4 hours to find that damn track !!

Hey I’m worried about you
If what you are saying is true then you are basically admitting to me that you have been brainwashed into accepting the ideals of this totalitarian cult yourself as a player that plays a facade character of Christianity.
God bless ❤
Damn The emotion
No matter what the problem is, we as a species will overcome, stay strong my friends, and we will, one day, see a brighter tomorrow, let’s march forward, together.

Honestly Far Cry as a series is possibly my favorite shooter. At first it’s almost cookie cutter but then you upgrade and become something even COD protagonists aren’t.

Now He's Our Father - is a major, major, major go !!! Just for this song Far Cry 5 should be nominated for Nobel Prize !!!
I don't care the ending was good and really interesting to me. I wonder what Farcry 6 will be about, probabaly something to do with the end of this one.

Death Knight This game takes 4 years after the events of Farcry 4, Farcry 4 takes place 2 years after Farcry 3, I suppose they do. And yes we are a different character everytime.
The Wandering Dovahkiin judging by the true ending,i wonder how the next game is going to be like oh and thx for the information
Death Knight I wonder too maybe where helping in the ww3 fight?

that's cool
There's something beautiful about hearing this play as your in the middle of an intense gun fight and the bodies are falling all around you. You feel heroic.
Why do I cry when I hear this music...
this song tells us how fragile and defenseless our world really is
What I love the sort of trick the music gives here. With most villain music, you're meant to feel uneasy or intimidated, but with this one, your relaxed and you know it's wrong. But that's what Joseph and Eden's Gate want, for everyone to accept this fantasy and not question it. Brilliant, Dan Romer, brilliant
