Which side is the outside? The one with the bias strip visible? I'm teaching myself to sew. Helpful video but I don't know which side is the outside of the garment..

1.The outside is always darker than the inside. 2. Any biasing, interfacing, visible threads, anything attached is always on the inside. 3. The outside has a very neat look.
I'm also teaching myself how to sew. My mother gave me a very good tip that is to tear apart the seams of an old shirt and use it as a guide for cutting and stitching future shirts that way you learn the shapes and also your body measurements. All the best.😊
