While I mostly agree, even Mirror serves a purpose of showing the intricacies of Hearthstone in a different way. The idea of "creating your prefered board state" is something you always think about in regular games and isn't very far away from the Mirror challenges.
Everyone's talking about the super easy solution to the last puzzle that I missed, but I had a solution that was as hard as trump's but a bit different. Instead of giving them a malganis first to buff voidlord to kill ticking, I instead traded my malg into the voidlord, copied the gromm to get through the voidwalkers, then traded ticking off into ultrasaur. my malganis lives at one health if i copy it before setting off ticking, and then i had just enough board space to do what i needed to at the end. The most interesting thing about my solution was that I used every single thing on the board, gromm for charge, ultrasaur for trading ticking into, and everything else obviously.
Interesting, I had a different solution to the last puzzle where I just got 3 mal'ganis then used betrayal on ticking then blew up the board (malganis has 11hp with other buffs so it survives the first 10 dmg board clear to keep hero immune, then everything blows up).
I got another solution for the last one just by buffing my first mal'ganis over 10. This can be done by just using taldaram on mal'ganis twice. Then not only do you get a mirror, you even get a board clear (and don't have to think about any immunity problems)
Ahmed Elsaid almost the same situation here, but I wasted like 20 minutes on a different idea instead, on trying to gain 80 armor with Kun ^^ you can get to 70 or 80 hp, but then there's no longer a way to keep your Glinda alive so the combo falls apart.
Both the last two levels have different solutions, where you win by board clear. Great level design, very interesting to see levels I struggled had more approaches that I don't even thought about.
I did the last one buy the infinite loop and copying the garrosh over and over to kill the void daddy. Then killing my abom by smacking him into the devilsaur. Interesting that it was far easier than what I did.
Yup same as what I did. It seems to me that this and trumps solution might be the only ones of this kind? And then theres the really simple one others have mentioned of just buffing malganas to >10 health. Cool thing about this solution was it used every minion on the board in some way
man i really like this video, its much better than watching the solutions. my field awareness is awful and i get stuck easily, but after watching 30 seconds of trump struggle to do something i can work out the rest of the solution myself. its like an actual hint system i want.
I like the fact that I had different solutions for some so this was fresh. 1st I copied bounced discarded dinomancer and cleared the board with it to ultimately silence it, 2nd same 3rd more or less just pinged first and naturalized novice and last just buffed MG to 11.
I started to do the last puzzle the same way Trump did and then I accidentally copied Malganis twice and the original one survived the initial 10-damage burst. Thus my hero survived the 100-damage. Much easier solution I accidentally found.
as someone else commented here i just made 3 malganises getting the main one to 11hp and i didnt even use treachery on the ticking as the deathrattle on the 0/10, but it doesnt matter as the minions only actually die after the deathrattle trigger, similar to one of the lethal puzzles where the hydra gets hit by 2 pyromancer procs at 1 health but triggers the 3 damage to hero twice as it isnt dead at zero until all the other stuff is resolved first.
Lool nice one to keep two malganis alives at the last puzzle that was unexpected and very complicated. Catchs up for the infinite combo missed at the first puzzle :).
I did the third puzzle by a way of clearing all minions. Came to this video because even though the solution worked, this wasnt board clear. Glad to see that there was another way. But i also solved puzzle 4 with a board clear, so...
Hey I found out a combo that is having a strong minion in board one turn, then the next turn with 10 mana you use carnivorous cube, vivid nightmare and spirit lash- that will kill your new cube and heal you- summoning 2 new copies of the strong minion and having a cube 4/5 that will summon another 2 copies.
I thought that if you faceless the darkness it goes dormant, did they change that interaction? If i remember correctly, pretty much any form of copying or summoning the dankness outside of being played out of hand it goes dormant without generating candles
That's what I remembered as well when I did it leading me to use RNG so I could naturalize the novice after copying the darkness to get my darkness activated. Apparently they changed the interaction recently but that makes it an odd choice to make a puzzle based on it.
It made the puzzle more complicated to me. I did the puzzle by relying on RNG to be able to make him draw his candles for my own darkness and noticed the faceless didn't need it. It's because they recently updated the way copies work so it got more specific (from board to board we get exact copies) so this interaction works now
Im pretty sure onm the first one the intended solution is to copy dinomancer, bounce dinomancer, and discard it, then use it to clear the board since it has rush, silencing it before the last trade.
Man I was so convinced at the last one I needed to gobeyond 100 health then blow everything up... after I realized how the 10 mana card works... so I buffed him up to 11 and cried because I'm dumb and this was actually pretty easy...
Tbf it says deal 10 damage 10 times iirc, so it could be expected that it'd kill a turtle over 10hp, unless you had over 10 minions total and the RNG was right.
I guess I got lucky with the darkness one and I just ended up clearing the whole board. Naturalize darkness and ping 1/1. I didn't even discard any of his cards.
The last one can be done so much easier. You just taldaram the malganis twice so it goes to 11 health. Then Kun and then just ray of roasting. The 11 health malganis saves you from the explosion in the first round and then everything dies after that.
Wow he overthought that last one. You can just get Glinda and copy Aviana. Then you Taldaraam Mal'ganis, Kun for mana, Treachery a non-Mal'ganis/Aviana minion, play Taldaraam on Mal'ganis again, a final Kun for mana and now you have 10 mana for the spell and an 11 health Mal'ganis which will survive the first volley of destruction, giving you immune against the 100 dmg Deathrattle and getting killed off afterwards by the second volley.
Yeah when trump said he felt like that wasn't the intentional puzzle solve, it might have not been if they only intended one way to do it, I did that differently, but I think the board result was the same
For the last one i copied garrosh 5 times to kill the void lord (using attack of glinda on the void walker) to suicide my ticking abom and original malganis on the ultrasaur. Than i recopied aviana and got the cicle going
I love how everyone is only focused on the last puzzle not realizing the first one has an alternate solution as well. copy the dinomancer with taldaram and then return that copy to your hand. play soulfire on the abomination, killing your loot hoarder which draws silence, and discards your copied dinomancer. once that’s all done, trade the kidnapper into the worgen greaser and then infinitely attack with the dinomancer. once only one damaged 8/1 sea giant is left, silence the dinomancer and trade one last time
I did the #3 puzzle in another way. First i got my cards to be 0. then i just used vanish, copy 3 cards from opponents hand, play the novice engineer, then i pinged it and naturalised the 20-20
My solution to this included copying grommash to help board clear his taunts so i can trade my abomination into the ultrasaur. This takes a longer second cycle tho, but it works.
I dont know if the devs are retarded, but im pretty sure thats how they intended it. By how hard the first one was, they somehow didnt see you can just buff to 11 health. Its so easy compared to the other one i dont think it was meant that way
The way i did the second one was to get 3 malganis's on my side then the og has 11 health survives the first attack and dies to the second laser but you survive
People are ragging on Trump for overcomplicating the last puzzle, but I think I can give him a free pass, considering I tried to go infinite with Kun and ticking aboms to clear off unnecessary Kuns. I tried to goddamn armor up past 100 -.- Unsurprisingly, it didnt work.
Lol i did the darkness one on the first try by just vanishing his board and then getting novice from his hand, and to kill darkness i used naturalize and the toxic arrow on my novice, you can just RNG that shit
16:31 you missed trying to target the donated Malganys directly with your taldaram. Funny thing is it won't let you target it even though its actually a viable solution. I think that was a very poor design choice. on their part TBH. Edit, Just saw you did try it later, though I am pretty sure thats not how the interaction should work.
Man Trump made that last one overcomplicated. He could have done it way easier than that. All he had so to was getting one malganiz over 10 health. *facepalm*
Only looking for the solutions?
#1 - 00:55
#2 - 05:51
#3 - 12:13
#4 - 19:32
3rd puzzle time stamp is wrong
The last puzzle had a much easier answer
Last puzzle challenge: Don't use deathspeaker
Anyone else just get malganis to 11 health?
Yep, cleared that one so easily but Trumps answer is more awesome.
Honestly this is so good for new players to practice all these skills in hearthstone to help them get better. It’s better than the tutorial.
I mean, it's learning when you do all other sections (Lethal, Board Clear and Survival). But Mirror? When will I ever use that?
While I mostly agree, even Mirror serves a purpose of showing the intricacies of Hearthstone in a different way. The idea of "creating your prefered board state" is something you always think about in regular games and isn't very far away from the Mirror challenges.
Mrzanetti100 I was talking about all the challenges, not just the mirror one. The lethal ones, etc, they all help new players!
Mrzanetti100 and also, mirror helps people think of solutions for board clearing. Helps them practice big complicated board clears!
Even if you don't use that literally in a game, I believe it serves for the purpose of exercising the mind.
Everyone's talking about the super easy solution to the last puzzle that I missed, but I had a solution that was as hard as trump's but a bit different. Same, he overcomplicated it by a mile
Same. Also did the 1st one as intended, unlike Trump...
I did Trumps way.
I did it Trump's way. That way seems much simpler and easier tho lol
Wait, there's a third solution to the first one? I found a completely different one that relied on a 50/50 chance of discarding Silence.
I got another solution for the last one just by buffing my first mal'ganis over 10. This can be done by just using taldaram on mal'ganis twice. Then not only do you get a mirror, you even get a board clear (and don't have to think about any immunity problems)
that sounds super easy.
I did the same thing after trying for about 20 minutes to pull off the same idea that trump had and failing.
I did some strange thing where i kept copying the grommash and hitting into the voidlord/voidwalkers, so i could hit my malganis into the ultrasaur
i also did this
Ahmed Elsaid almost the same situation here, but I wasted like 20 minutes on a different idea instead, on trying to gain 80 armor with Kun ^^ you can get to 70 or 80 hp, but then there's no longer a way to keep your Glinda alive so the combo falls apart.
go on be honest, who else tried to play 8 kuns for armour to get above 100 health?
:(
Guilty.
I waited a week before watching this when i couldn't figure it out ;-;
But also yo echo ing 8 kuns would have been cooler
Both the last two levels have different solutions, where you win by board clear. Great level design, very interesting to see levels I struggled had more approaches that I don't even thought about.

Interesting that it was far easier than what I did.
I did that too and had to redo a bunch of times cause I accidently copied the voidlord instead BrokeBack
The exact thing that I did, love how many cool solutions there are
Yup same as what I did. It seems to me that this and trumps solution might be the only ones of this kind? And then theres the really simple one others have mentioned of just buffing malganas to >10 health. Cool thing about this solution was it used every minion on the board in some way
Jason Becker I tried for like 2 hours to do this method while trying to stack enough armor to save myself from the explosion
man i really like this video, its much better than watching the solutions.
my field awareness is awful and i get stuck easily, but after watching 30 seconds of trump struggle to do something i can work out the rest of the solution myself. its like an actual hint system i want.

But i also solved puzzle 4 with a board clear, so...
I was facepalming so hard when he kept playing Benedictus and Togwaggle
I solve it using them both
Hey I found out a combo that is having a strong minion in board one turn, then the next turn with 10 mana you use carnivorous cube, vivid nightmare and spirit lash- that will kill your new cube and heal you- summoning 2 new copies of the strong minion and having a cube 4/5 that will summon another 2 copies.

That’s a cool ending animation

These puzzles were super cool, had a lot of fun in the tank! Still pondering on the other types for Boom. :d
It’s funny how they made custom animations for some obscure puzzle mode cards but just gave Star Aligner the starfire AoE animation
That's an interes..... NO NOOOOOO
Wow he overthought that last one. You can just get Glinda and copy Aviana. This really shows his 200 HS IQ, I did it without cheating but it took so much longer! Assuming there aren't huge parts edited away
Immune Mal'Ganis is stuff of nightmares
All the fun stuff...
I expected Trump to fail in the Healing Wave because he never remember Auchenai. I was clearly right. The Mal'ganis one was also painful to see.
Trump or Jens at 1:44 archmage insight actually appeared in One night in Karaz or how ever you spell it, so its not a puzzle lab special.
Yeah when trump said he felt like that wasn't the intentional puzzle solve, it might have not been if they only intended one way to do it, I did that differently, but I think the board result was the same

grommash
Interesting, I just killed the Darkness on mine. Cool to see different points of view
editor is amazing

It's so much cooler too.
You know, if you copy the invulnerable MalGanis, the new one is invulnerable too.
ARTILLERY ONLY!
ARTILLERY ONLY!!🚀
Trump was trippin hard on the glinda aviana kun one
I did the #3 puzzle in another way. First i got my cards to be 0. then i just used vanish, copy 3 cards from opponents hand, play the novice engineer, then i pinged it and naturalised the 20-20
My solution to this included copying grommash to help board clear his taunts so i can trade my abomination into the ultrasaur. This takes a longer second cycle tho, but it works.
For the last one I stole the Glinda and copied aviana then just copied 2 mal'ganis so he would be above the initial blast of the rod.
Trump being trump and solving things in the non intended boring way
I dont know if the devs are retarded, but im pretty sure thats how they intended it. By how hard the first one was, they somehow didnt see you can just buff to 11 health. Its so easy compared to the other one i dont think it was meant that way
To the first puzzle my solution was to copy Dynomancer, put him back to my hand, discard him and get infinity loop to kill all the giants
A(possible) solution got the last one could be to cast Deathspeaker on the original Mal'ganis. The immunity would be copied, correct?
Well then he'd have a full-health unkillable Mal'ganis, whereas the copy would be a 3/3. Not a mirror.
He could make two copies.
Make Malganis Immune->Copy 1->Copy 2->Treachery.
RIght, and he'd still have the original one, and with no possible way to kill it. Ruining the mirror.
Ah yes, you are correct about that.
One. By. One.
The way i did the second one was to get 3 malganis's on my side then the og has 11 health survives the first attack and dies to the second laser but you survive
19:20 couldn't he win if he took a new aviana, killed mal ganis and played the guy that gives him mana to play the ray of roasting?
yes
I thought the same
People are ragging on Trump for overcomplicating the last puzzle, but I think I can give him a free pass, considering I tried to go infinite with Kun and ticking aboms to clear off unnecessary Kuns. I tried to goddamn armor up past 100 -.- Unsurprisingly, it didnt work.
No one is ragging on him.
Nice video amaz !
on the last one i thought i needed to gain 80 armor with kun at first. that was a mistake.
had it at 19:18, just copy the Aviana with Taldaram and kill off Glinda. refresh.
Lol i did the darkness one on the first try by just vanishing his board and then getting novice from his hand, and to kill darkness i used naturalize and the toxic arrow on my novice, you can just RNG that shit
19:25 why did he reset? He had it right?
I found the mirror puzzles to be the easiest.
I don't see why people is angry at the fact that there are more the one solution to some of this puzzles
It's so frustrating to watch him do it right so many times only to see him reset the puzzle because he doesn't see what to do next.
T H E M I R R O R M A N
16:31 you missed trying to target the donated Malganys directly with your taldaram.
Funny thing is it won't let you target it even though its actually a viable solution. I think that was a very poor design choice. on their part TBH.
Edit, Just saw you did try it later, though I am pretty sure thats not how the interaction should work.
trumps can sure dance
Is it just me or does trump take a lot longer to realize random stuff than expected?
yey number 10
ARTILLERY ONLY WHEN ?
❤️outro
Ken Arvid Selnes At first I was like "hmm i know this from somewhere" then I checked description and rememberd
For the last one couldn't you have just given yourself 80 armour?
how would that be possible? there is no way to clear your own board to make room for 8 kun without killing glinda
It's been a while
lol trump 3rd salusion was way more complicated then what i did..... ijust got the mulgenus out of range of the first shout
Man Trump made that last one overcomplicated. He could have done it way easier than that. All he had so to was getting one malganiz over 10 health. *facepalm*
Mirror was easy.
i didnt get nothing of this vid! :(
First!
This was more frustrating than fun
Puzzles are not for everyone plenty of people enjoy them.
Frustration leads to improvement.
Frustration is part of the fun
The "aha" moment is super satisfying
card puzzles...that's new. interesting, but new
