One of my favorite podcasts is sasquatch chronicles. He is over 600 episodes in. Lots of respected hunters, military serviceman and law enforcement etc. that tell of their encounters. The guy that started the podcast had his encounter in Washington mountains while out at night with his brother just reminiscing after their father passed away. I had no idea of the science and depth on the subject. The Pacific Northwest is considered ground zero on the species and in the 70s the Army core of engineers printed an almanac that listed the sasquatch as a specicies that serviceman may encounter while working in the wild. I cant help but think about sasquatch when I look at the vast amount of untouched wilderness that I see in your videos. Keep your eyes peeled because there are signs if you know what you are looking for. If you have seen bears etc im sure that sasquatch have seen you more than once but you wouldn't know unless they wanted you or you stumble upon them in a territory that they don't know humans to ever trek through. If you have time you can research Dr. Bindernagle and see what signs you can look for. As interesting as I find the wilderness, I'm even more intrigued knowing that a species not recognized by mainstream science treks through the wilderness of North America and more. Some places in countries like China in isolated places, recognized and protect their area. Government ordered. They are our closest relatives.

Have you ever thought about starting your own merch store? I would buy a branded sweater with "SamongYang Outdoors" and a nice outdoor graphic/design on it. Or you could base it on your "Catch, Clean, Cook" series as I think you're the only TH-camr consistent with such a series.

Places like this are why I feel blessed to live in Washington State, I am into Slingshots so hiking can be extra fun, no worries I use a clay ammo in the woods so that if I lose it, it goes right back to the earth. I see you have an 8 cent bag for trash, I don't mind paying 8 cents for those I have ten that I use for shopping have used them 20 times and they are still going strong.

If you're going to boil the water that you cook with, you can save your bottled water for drinking. Boiling it will make it safe for drinking and cooking.

A trick that was taught to me awhile back was, if the jerky is old and hard, boil it 1:1 water/jerky and it'll rehydrate and become softer. But that'll take more time than just breaking your jaw so it depends on how much time you got :D

Hey Samong, I just learned about DIY flame diffusers to use with those single isobutane burners. It basically helps spread the flame out underneath your pan so it isn't concentrated in the centre. Some people use the tops/bottoms of steel food cans, another guy was using plumbers heat shield cloth.

  • @timberg7377

We have always called those berries, Salmon berries
Small tip, step down to 4lb test, you can cast farther and you will have less line drag in the water, which mean, you can get the blade turning faster without make the lure wanting to rise..
Just something that has help me over the years to catch bigger fish.

Have you tried using a light 10 lb braid like Diawa j braid, with a 4 or even 2 lb flouro leader. You can cast a lot farther. I used this set up with a small silver swivel and the swivel works as a semi flasher the trout chase it then hit the spinner. Your way works well just saying cast farther with light gear. Love the video. I wish I could go do something like this no time.

Have you ever tried Rife Lake? It is full of Rainbows and landlocked silvers, I have caught some nice ones out of there, on a clear sunny day a metallic blue or red rooster tail with a silver spinner is like fire. Just run it close to the top and watch it explode.
