I traveled in 1996.from Rawalpindi to Mangora whole day and road was so narrow you have to stop to let go other car or bus.From Mangora to kalam again nine hours, and they used local drivers because regular drivers can't drive on those mountains winding roads. Beautiful Swat! Also, the houses and older buildings are in harmony with the landscape. Not so much the newer construction. It pains me to see ugly, 3 or more storey buildings in our own Himachal Pradesh as well. A little more thought should go into the design, facade and materials, to make it blend in with the beautiful surroundings in which they are situated.

Great great news for those who love swat and Kalam . I know that broken road which actually was no road at all and we reached Kalam in 6 hours from Bahrain in 2014 Till now I was waiting for this road to be built so now is time to go See u next month Kalam ,,❤️
I traveled on this road in 1985 or 1986.we came from NAIROBI KENYA.
