Today is my Czech fiance's mother's birthday. She passed away 11 years ago today from cancer. We honored her by making her favorite Czech food. Thank you so much for the yummy recipe... it was her favorite. Meant a lot to my fiance. ❤️ I've already made him several of your recipes!
This is beautiful! What a wonderful way to honor his mom.
I remember ordering it in the Czech Republic. Soooooo good! Will definitely be making it.
Thank you for another amazing recipe.
Me too - first thing I ordered! (As advised by my Czech friend) Can't beat fried cheese!!!
I’ll never forget my first Smazeny Sir sandwich. I literally went back to Prague a few years later just to eat another one. I need to make this ASAP!
Oh it is so good! I hope it will bring back wonderful memories and that you will be able to make it easily at home if you feel like having one. :)
Great video!
My wife loved Smazenej Sejra when we visited Check Republic. Thank You for thw recipe!
Wonderful!! My husband and I ate fried cheese at a German restaurant 20 years ago and went their strictly for the cheese. We moved away 18 years ago, and I am going to make this tomorrow!!! Thank you!
I hope you will enjoy it. 😊
Omg ! I squealed when I saw this because I ate this ALL. THE. TIME the last time I visited my family in Czech Republic and have missed it sooo much!! Now I have the recipe! Thank you!!!
I prefer "niva" or "hermelín" or camembert instead of eidam. And if you are really hard-core, you can try "olomoucké tvarůžky" - they are my favorites. But i cant make them only when nobody is at home.
I ate this everyday 2-3 times a day for 1.5months while visiting family in Slovakia
So yummy! Fried whole BRIE cheese is AMAZING too! I think they call it Hermalín
Oh yes my favorite ☺️
This is awesome. I had this like 10 or maybe 12 years ago on holiday and I really wanted to recreate it. This was literally the first hit while searching and I will definitely make this next week!
I hope you enjoy it! :) Please let me know how it turned out. :)
This recipe is great! I think I'd reduce the amount of breadcrumbs and flour that I use next time so I do not have so much left over, but the czech fried cheese turned out perfectly (and I made the tartar sauce to go with it). It made me so happy to be able to make the great lunch I had in Prague at home! Thanks!
So happy to hear you enjoyed it! :)
I *always* have this when in Cz Rep! Diky! 😉
parada jen tak dal !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! je treba vsem ukazat kdo sou cesi a co umime !!!! :-) drzim palce a cekam na nova videa

Jsme Češi a umíme udělat smažený sýr! Tak to je fakt velká paráda :D
I had this in a sandwich in Ireland in a pub with a Czech chef, I've been craving it ever since, yummy.
So delicious! :)
Am from Czech and må grandma and maminka always used to do this ❤😍😍
:)
@i hate u Já také. Dnes to obvykle opravuji sám.

+czechcookbook how do you say in Czech. My Mom's family is Czech and I'm so sorry I didn't learn the language. I made her cinnamon rolls and poppy seed kolache's this week. They were delicious and brought back such sweet memories of my Mom and Grandmother talking and cooking in the kitchen together.
My favorite dish here in Czech Republic
This looks amazing, thank you for teaching us this recipe, I will definitely make it :) Im Polish so it hits close to home :)
+kaiju k :) I hope you will enjoy the meal. :)
I was at the supermarket today and got the Jack cheese, was thinking of your video the whole time :) thanks again.
+kaiju k Yay! :) Please let me know how you liked it.
I'm also Polish and from time to time I prepare this cheese and it's ok. If you order it in Czech Republic it tastes 100% better. I don't know how it works but it works always. ;)
@@czechcookbook I still make it years later, thank you, it's such a delicious treat.
Omg I need to make it at home! Thank you for this recipe!
+Malwina Manley Yes :) I hope you give it a try and enjoy this dish. :)
Looks so good!
Can't wait to buy your cook book,
Thank you Joseph :)
Edam is readily available in the UK as well. My family will love this. Love your recipes
Suzanne Bainbridge :) That is great to know Edam is available in UK. It makes me happy to know you enjoy my recipes. :)
Babybel cheese (little cheeses in red wax) is really easy to find in USA and it is edam cheese.
+Laura Williams I love babybel cheese. I didn't know it is edam cheese. Thank you. I will try it. :)
I thought it was Bel Paese. Should work I suppose.
Please come to Panama City Beach Fl and start a Czech restaurant at Pier Park! Thanks for the vids.
Aww I wish I could have restaurants all over USA. Hopefully one day. :)
@@czechcookbook tried making the fried cheese for my wife, but she prefers the original Czech cheese Eidam. Thanks for the vid. We think maybe pepper jack might be better. She likes the syrecek. I hate it. I don't know how you eat that stuff. It stinksssssssssssssssssss!!!!!
Whole Foods or Sprouts carry Edam which is like Eidam. 😊 I am not big fan of stinky cheese. 😀
Had this at Muller's fried cheese too far away so I need to make it thank you
Nothing like homemade. :)
Moc pěkné videa
Dekuji :)
This food is very easy, USA you learn this food
Yes easy and delicious! :)
@@czechcookbook I'm Czech
Hi, I really enjoy your videos, I'm from Kosice so i know all the dishes and its great to have the recipes on your channel. I dont know if u have a "Kuraci stroganoff" recipe on your channel but if u dont can u please make a video about that, i think people will love that. Many greetings from Slovakia :)
I am glad to hear you enjoy my channel. :) I don't have kureci stroganoff. Hopefully in a future. :) Very similar to chicken paprikash which I do have a recipe for. Many greetings to Slovakia. My grandma is Slovak so I really enjoy visiting. :)
I tried fried cheese in Prague and it was awesome!Luckily we have edam cheese in Greece so I'll give it a try. Can you please make a video on how to make kynuté buchty? I tried a recipe that I found while searching but I would love to see how you make them!Děkuji !
orifiel17 That is great you have Edam cheese in Greece. :) Yes, I am working on kynute buchty recipe. When I have it done the way I am happy I will make a video. :)
This is absolute comfort food and you can stick slices of ham or other thinly sliced meats around the cheese. 🍻👍✌️
Yes, delicious! :)

+Camahta Merah :D Great job! Glad you liked it. :)
Fried cheese was so easy and so delicious! I also served it with fries and your own recipe of tarter sauce and such a great treat! We’re grateful for the Urquell Pilsner available at FredMeyer near us. Thank you for your video instructions. You make everything look easy, and you’re an amazing chef and very good at showing us how to make your great recipes.Thank you!
Thank you Terri for your kind words! That is wonderful you can buy Pislner Urquell. Nothing can compare. :)
awesome!!!!
You should try, Fontina Cheese, that s what I will be using,..!
Sounds good, I have never tried it. Please let me know how it worked. :)
Looks good! I'm just thinking, u said u tried many different cheeses. I've heard about this cheese in the U.S., Emmentaler. Sounds similar to the one u mentioned. Did u try this cheese at all? Maybe u did. Just a suggestion. On another note, on an Italian cooking channel, that I have also gotten some recipes from (Italian is not to far from Romanian) but they made a made a whole sandwich with cheese and then fried like u did. I'd like to visit the Czech. Republic sometime.
I have not tried to use this cheese. It is a Swiss cheese, which has stronger flavor. My favorite still stays Monterey Jack or original Edam. :) Wow interesting to fry it as whole sandwich. I hope you can visit one day Bianca. :) Many greetings to Romania. :)
Ehhh..Emmentaler? Swiss-like cheese? No. no. Simpyl, for original Czechoslovakian classic, you need Eidam 30 % or just original Edam cheese ( its cheese from Netherlands, not very strong, decent taste)
Thank u ❤️😋😋😋
To bylo moje nejoblibenejsi jidlo bud pecene brambory nebo hranolky ,tatarska omacka musela byt stal 7.50 Kcs .Pekne podani podle toho videa to musi umet kazdy .Delal jsem si ho v pondeli Aby syr pri smazeni nevytekal davam do strouhanky trochu mouky...
To je byly ceny. :)
Please can i use my own homemade cheese for this?
I don’t see why not. Just make sure to use cheese with less amounts of liquid. The harder better.
czech beauty
+Johnny B Thank you! :)
Anyone try making this in an air fryer? I got rid of my deep fryer because I hate the smell of food frying in oil, but love fried food🤣
jop česká kuchyn je nejlepší : the czech republic kitchen is the best
Yes :)
Jaky ze je ten syr, prosim? :)
Monterey Jack 😊
Looks good. I have mixed Slavic ancestry. This includes Czech/Slovak ancestry.
That is wonderful! :)
When she said “Super fast to make” I mistook her upon first hearing. I thought she said “Super fat” and I was like “mmhhmm, she’s not wrong there”
rufiredup90 pretty accurate about the fat. 😃
Thats pretty dope
Zitra na to jdu😊
At se povede a chutna! :)
Wow i never thought that Slavs and Greeks shared similar foods...well then i am ignorant since we share similar religion and culture(specifically the Balkans) but In Greece Wel call this Σαγανάκι(Saganáki) and we deep fry Feta Cheese or Halloumi.
That is great! 😊
Well greece send us Konstantin a Metoděj (Κωνσταντίνος and Μεθόδιος) to help us with religion and scripture, so we have some historic bonds I guess :D
Dan Chmelař Yes i know we slavs and Greeks share a Similar ancestor....Byzantium
What is the cheese?
i make this with Munster cheese, but it melts so fast
I use Monterey Jack or Edam in USA
