@freeinFL yes. A 2x6 ledger is bolted to the van body and the bunk frame is attached with hinges. When folded, the 5.5" mattress fits perfectly on the 2x6.
Thoughts on your outside table. You are thinking OUT..have you thought about setting in ( like a medicine cabinet that sets between studs in a house) your fold out table. Then what if..you make your table with a piano hinge to entend once out and hold adjustable legs instead of just one big piece of wood ?...Just saying, cutting a section out of your cabinet, and going in 2" or so yes, would deplete some of your storage space inside that end cabinet, but that is where you decide which space is most valuable to you to serve your needs: an outside cooking table or storage inside the cabinet ? I noticed you didn't have any visible stops on your drawers next to the refrig. Have you considered simply drilling a hole in the end cabinet cover and into the drawer and sticking dole pins in to hold the drawers shut while going down the road ? Thank you for sharing your fishing cabin on wheels.
You packed a lot into your comment. The cabinet you refer to has no space to give up. There is a 6 gal. jug that is my gray water tank just behind the outer wall. I've considered some sort of folding table but haven't worked it out yet. I'm not satisfied with the fold up idea, so it may change. I've also considered a stand alone folding table, which would be more adaptable because I could put it anywhere. I would have to find a storage location for it. As to stops on the drawers; they are the soft close type which tend to stay closed, but I have found that with heavy items inside the drawer might open when turning the van. I have used a small rotating stopper on the other cabinets: please see previous videos if you want to know more. Thank you for your comments and I hope you keep viewing.
Gosh I wish you had shown the Murphy bed. How it operates. How you made it… but other than that, love you video. Thank you!
Legs fold out and bed folds down. Simple is my middle name.
Frame is all 1x3 or 1x4 pine. Glued and screwed. And lots of poly finish.
Is it on hinges?

Hello from the quiet Ozarks! where did you get your step ladder? Another video of value and thanks for sharing. Tight lines and bent poles!
I'd love to show you that, but Amazon only saves so many orders. It's a boat ladder if that helps.
