Hi Jerry, in Excel, you can just use command "Find and replace", as Find + and replace with "nothing", will remove all "+"'s and create just numbers. 2 steps less for the same job. Regards. Thanks for an awesome tips - I learned so much from you :)
Hi Jerry, I'm encountering an issue with the "Station Offset Report." When I create points that were not generated using the "Station Offset Points" command, the report sometimes works correctly and includes these points. However, in other cases, it randomly omits the points that were not created using this command. How can I resolve this?
Yes. I just discovered we can make refference to point information from the alignment lable. So, we just need manually add points to each PI and ask any information from these points, among them, the lat-lon info. It will show up in the alignment lable. I knew Civil could not leave me on the street.
I'm still trying to figure out how to output point number, station, offset, elevation, description, latitude and longitude. I've been doing 2 different reports and using excel to help merge everything but I'd really like to find a better way. Just because like you said, autocad doesn't let you manage to points good when exporting the station and offset. I have seen before in one project, where in the points list it did say station and offset but it was blank and I could figure out how to assign the points to the alignment. Would be nice to figure it out cause it does give latitude and longitude in the points list.
Hi Jerry, can you tell me if in addition to the station and offset it is possible to add a measurement comparison report with the longitudinal profile as well?
sorry to be so offtopic but does anybody know of a method to get back into an Instagram account?? I somehow lost the password. I appreciate any tricks you can offer me!
@Fletcher Emory i really appreciate your reply. I found the site through google and I'm in the hacking process atm. Seems to take quite some time so I will reply here later with my results.
Any thoughts on how to get the offset values to a higher precision that 2 decimal places? I found the "edit report settings" and the subsequent sub-entities, but even after changing the report only spits out 2 places. I need 1/16" accuracy and an two is only the nearest eighth.
great tutorial! how can we add coordinates to the offset? why do the stations left of centerline of the alignment get labeled as a negative offset? can you label it so that it shows left or right of centerline?
HI Jerry I have followed your followed and created a point report file as .xsl file. it has everything like pt, number, esating northing, elevation and offset, but offset are wrong. cause I created these points 15m from my design alignment. it showing 10m and 19.9m. could you please tell me why. thanksMir
Find and replace "+" with nothing on those stations will save you 4 steps. Wish Autodesk would give us sorting in the columns before export at some point.
Sir , how I can draw point on surface at pre define offset , both side of alignment . Pre deinfed offset is : 0,-5,-10,-15,-20 and 5,10,15,20 etc. Please explain After that I want export that point in Excel with station offset elevation format. Please explain Thanks

Hello Bartels I need to export cross-section data to excel is this possible???
Thank you Bartels. Could Civil add the Lat Lon inf to those points in addition to the Easting and Northing?

Change the Distance Precision in the Alignment Feature Settings. Toolspace → Settings Tab → Right Click "Alignment" → Edit Feature Settings → Expand "Distance" and adjust Precision
Does anybody have a workflow to get stationing and delta angles (not associated with curves) out to Excel?
Hi jerry,
How I can add two elevations for a point in civil 3d ?!
great tutorial!
how can we add coordinates to the offset?
why do the stations left of centerline of the alignment get labeled as a negative offset?
can you label it so that it shows left or right of centerline?
From excel you could highlight your offset values, and do a Find/Replace (ctrl+h) find the negative sight and replace with L
