I was so excited to see Ahsoka and Sabine, since they're also new additions to my own lists, and then the thing I fear most happened. A Tale of Two Dice, where the red defence dice amount to precious little. I've become so wary of my defence dice failing that this video almost needed a trigger warning for me. I feel your pain, Joe!

Tale of two dice! Don, orbital strike is 2 red 2 black and you rolled 2 white 2 black. Also T-series shoots 1 red 1 white not 1 black 1 white. Joe, I play a lot of high quality lists (6-7 acts) and I think you would’ve done better if you played more defensively. Especially with real elite units it’s better to hit like a horse on a flank and then have small return fire on the red saves. As you saw those red saves can bend and break facing an army head on. Anyways it was a pleasure to watch!
For sure, I probably should have let him come in before making the attacking… but the very low amount of range dice made me play more aggressive. More power to you, I have never seen in any tournament or casual event a 6 act list win and only seen maybe 2 7 act list do decent. Thanks for watching!

A tale of two dice indeed. This is exactly how I feel whenever I play 17 Mandos. Nothing but blanks defensively. Also, Hope republic Ahsoka slaps as much on paper as rebel Ahsoka does

I dont think it would have changed much, but Sabine is completely Immune: Pierce in melee with the Darksaber equipped so she shouldn't have been rolling extra dice (or getting pierced) by Greg's attacks. Also the teamwork turn I think Ahsoka and Sabine should have had some more dodges from the officer scanning both and them having teamwork, also when Sabine uses a dodge and gets one back for Nimble she can pass that to Ahsoka as well.
Sometimes the dice giveth and sometimes they taketh away. Better luck next time Joe.

Rebel Mandos could use a training slot that's "mandon resistance only" that gives them uncanny luck 1.
It would give you a real choice, instead of just auto taking SA+prepared supplies on them, and it would make multiple Mando defense blanks feel extra deserved, when you have a reroll on one of them
One of the thematics that makes mando's feel mandalorian is their expendable equipment. The rockets, the heroes flamethrowers, etc.
It would feel very mandalorian to have an expendable equipment upgrade for mando's only, that gives them arsenal 2. That way you would also have a reason to take grenades on them, and you sort of have a second close range "pop" besides just having rockets.

Always a shame when the dice roll so hot and cold especially when it shortens a tale of 2 dice. Some interesting builds on display as well. Great Vid as always, you took the beating well but sometimes Don going off on 1 when the dice are badly against him is genuinely quite amusing lol.

Thanks for doing the video. While it was a tale of the dice with all of those hot roles, it also highlight to me the importance of order activation. If Ahsoka goes in later, maybe those B1's don't disengage and she takes fewer hit hits.

This really was A Tale of Two Dice. It was the best of rolls, it was the worst of rolls... And much like A Tale of Two Cities, it ended with the death of a sympathetic character.

I faced a similar army but with jyn and pikes and I was droids with 11 activations and wiped out 4of7 units Asoka died really fast it was a massacre fun for me not my opponent also tale of two dice.

CIS vs Rebels results in my favorite tale of two dice, with a beautiful CIS win. I also thought it's was a strange amount of HQ uplinks, but it seemed to work out.

I know when taking wounds you have to add the new wounds to the one with them already, but when healing can you choose to take a mini back? (Assuming they died that round following those rules) like when you brought Tristan back could you have left him with one wound and brought back the other?
I can chose to either bring back a mini with one health or restore a wound. (As long as the mini died that round. Doesn’t matter which one. Thanks for watching!

Obviously, Grievous' charisma the main reason droids were rolling hot fire today. And that first B2 shot that nuked most of clan Wren was just... *chefs kiss*

Tale of two dice? I think its worth revisiting the first move with clan Wren (stay at exactly range 3 of the B2's and roll 2r2b and dont get shot back). Then at 17:22 "why dont move Sabine into no cover in range of Grevious?" Find out at 22 mins! And activating Ahsoka first on turn 2 got her killed. Go with any other unit and wait to activate her until she can emgage an activated unit for safety.
His whole army was right there and I was hoping my range shots would do more damage before he forded his B2. If I stayed at range 3 he could still move and shoot so and my put would have been even lower. Also if ahsoka didn’t go first then he could have had the general move in and attack or something else. I could have slowed for sure but the fire power with only three units that can hit against his numbers means I had to be a bit aggressive. If my dice went to avg and his went down to avg it would have been a very diff game with bombs hitting the next round. Thanks as always for watching!

@@graysquadrongaming8670 Thanks for making the videos! For what it's worth, the 2r2b impact 2 Wren shot at range 3 outputs more wounds than 3r impact 3 shot on the B2s. And if you're at range 3, they can't shoot you back with range 2 weapons because a speed 2 move is a bit shorter than a range band. And Ahsoka had a dodge and the immune pierce, so a hit from grevious wasn't going to kill her but many units ranged shots did. I'm just saying, those three moves (Wren, Sabine, Ahsoka) caused a lot of trouble regardless of dice. Good luck in your next game!
@andfunkable this are solid points. Just thought I could get more damage on those B2 so the range 3 Ha and T series shot would be about the same. But alas I did not lol. Thanks again!

Don’t feel bad for short videos, guys. We are lucky to get as much content as we do. Sometimes the dice will tell a story. And as you said, today, it was a tale of two dice. The Separatists as an implacable invading army, culling the resistance with remarkable ease.

A tale of two dice indeed. I'm with Joe. You can make every single right and perfect play, maneuver, and strategy and still roll blanks. It is what it is unfortunately. Nice seeing Grievous on the table. Like Obi-Wan in the last vid, he needs some love too, as does Sabine. Characters that were really good in their debut but haven't been able to keep pace with the new releases. Also, AMG needs to buff Rebel Mandos, and not just their rockets.
P.S. anyone who got mad at Don in the Han game clearly has never been on the receiving end of absolutely horrible dice lol
Haha yeah they could use some work on the og hero’s. And I should be able to behave a little better then that when I lose -Don
Tale of two dice... hilarious, but wow. Didn't expect the game to go that way. Also, Don still upset with Han XD - Side note, I wish Sabine had Arsenal 2, for both pistols, if she didn't run the darksaber to allow her more flexibility to not run it.

Nice to see grievous be successful. Not that that game was really him doing anything too crazy.. and I know you talked about the Han game. I actually really enjoyed that one. It felt like the real Han Solo was out there. I can understand the frustration from being on the opposing end of that, but it made for a fun game to watch and showcased what he is capable of doing. I think Ahsoka should not be played aggressivly. She seems so tanky on paper but is a glass cannon at the table. But you can never win when your rolls don‘t show symbols…

Always enjoying more legion content, recently got a buddy into the game so hopefully we’ll be able to have our own take of two dice. He mentioned being interested in getting the din djaron mini so I got one for him as a gift, he says he is now hooked so awesome

Man oh man if these dice could talk there would be a tale of two dice. I know the feeling when your dice don’t show up all too well. It’s so hard to play when your opponent’s rolls are fire and yours are lack luster.

Great game as always! Twas indeed a tale of two dice. Very fun to watch.
A few things to note. Emplacement troopers can’t sabotage or repair, the orbital strike is 2b2r not 2b2w, and the tseries gun is a red and a white, not a black and a white. Don was shorting himself on the dice there, but it still didn’t change anything haha.
Edit, didn’t realize that someone had already mentioned the emplacement trooper rule. Sorry to nag about rules lol
