Watched Imaginur twice already! First time watching i cried uncontrollably😅 Even after the film ended my tears still not dried and i even cried in cinema's toilet afterwards. What a beautiful movie! What a Master piece!
Watched it yesterday at Alor Setar. There was a row of young boys (17-20 yo) in front of me watching together in the hall. Glad to see the film able to get boys from that age group to see it. They seem to enjoy it a lot, well a bit struggled to understand it at first but everyone gets it by the end of the film. Kudos to everyone involved. The best local film of the decade!
I like that you describe it as a 'human' film as opposed to sci-fi. Most other reviewers go on and on about it being a sci fi (or not). To me, what is the point of talking about it as a sci-fi? It's deeply moving and universal.
Watched this film 3 times, 2 times on the small hall and the latest one in a big hall where they used to show the blockbuster movies. I can safely said that the age group in the cinema is very varied, theres couple, theres old families bawak atuk pergi wayang, theres young teens and they all cannot take their eyes of the screen tau. i can feel the tension from the whole cinema and the best part is that majority of the crowd(which is almost full house) stayed after untuk process their thing i guess. what a movie !
