Tablets of Ruin, Vessel of Ruin, Beads of Ruin, and Sword of Ruin... There's no way Light of Ruin isn't related. AZ's brother was probably king of Paldea.

Perhaps those legendary Pokémon are the kind that fuse? It could be possible that AZ made a previously-existing legendary Pokémon into an artificial weapon. That would explain why Floette left him, and perhaps why the Ruin Pokémon were sealed far away from each other. It might be possible that they can fuse together and that they have a connection to Area Zero.

I don’t think AZ Floette is a paradox because she doesn’t fit complete with its Structure. All Paradox Forms have two types. AZ Floette does not. In History class the History Teacher talks about the 4 legendary you’ve mentioned. Maybe AZ was the king back then and he sealed away those 4 Pokemon with his special Floette.
Maybe light of ruin draws power from the ruin Pokemon or they're drawing power from flowette since the great empire of paldea exsited 2000 years ago instead of the usual 3000 years ago
I'm mostly surprised nobody has also brought up the Herba Mystica and thrown them in with this theory, since they could relate to Xerneas/Yveltal's whole life energy business with the abnormal life-giving properties they have 🧐

Here after Pokemon Day 2024 in which Legends Z-A is announced. Luke was a whole year ahead of everyone and yet no one saw it coming lol. Actually super excited to revisit Kalos, although I'll admit I'm a bit surprised it's not Unova this time around as gen 5 are my absolute favorite Pokemon games and it looked like they were next in line for remakes/Legends style of game. Hopefully Legends Z-A means there's the potential of new megas! Certainly seems like they teased that at the end of the trailer.
Also noticed that it's release is slated for 2025 with no specific month or day attached to that, and this reveal trailer had zero gameplay shown. Maybe they're still early enough in development to where they don't want to show anything yet, but Legends Arceus had gameplay in it's reveal trailer. That leads me to guess that Legends Z-A might be releasing on the next gen Nintendo console, whether that be the Switch 2 or something else, and they're holding back gameplay footage until the next gen console is announced by Nintendo. That's my prediction at least

After the direct and dlc as well a lot of things start to fall into place. Since we’ve now learned that Paradox Pokémon are most likely Pokémon from an alternate timeline/reality rather than actual past or future Pokémon. XY started to first delve into alternate timelines with mega’s do exist and don’t exist. It makes an insane amount of sense that AZ’s floette is a Paradox Pokémon, AKA a Pokémon from the timeline where the ultimate weapon was fired.
As someone who loves X/Y and wishes that there had been more to it, I’m fully for some dlc or even a full blown remake! There are a lot of hints of a connection between Paldea and Kalos, and I remember when the map of Paldea was revealed that SO many people thought that the creator may of been created by the Ultimate Weapon, we see where it lands when Lysander fires it but AZ fired it in the past during a war. So perhaps ancient Paldea and Kalos were at war with each other and the firing of the Ultimate Weapon created Area Zero. The Pokémon team always likes to hint towards later projects in their games so I think it’s definitely likely that we may see something relating to Kalos in the future

Paradox Pokemons are stated to be threats to the ecosystem
They are threats that never get the chance to be that though. The player shutting down the time machine stops the paradox mon from becoming to much of a problem for the outside world
@@captainswagger2838 they could do it this way: I am pretty sure there will be a third legendary that is the cause for Terastallizing and maybe that legendary does some shenanigans to let out the paradox mon that already exist in Area Zero and release them into the outside world? That would be a way to introduce Zygarde at least, with the whole ecosystem thing.
@@Brahhh there is a third legendary though I’m not sure the bikes should be classified as legends. We can see a sketch of it by doing the history classes and unlocking a copy of the scarlet book in the schools library. other entries in the book seem to hint that the legends power is a bit more peculiar than just type change Tera and machine power boosting. It also mentioned how paradox mon were apparently in the crater before the time machine was even active. At 180 years before the machine was active.
If the in games big foot style conspiracy magazine is to be believed there have been some situations present day about paradox mon being seen but they are super extremely uncommon due to how powerful the shield around area 0 is.
@@captainswagger2838 Hmm that is interesting, what if this third legendary goes berserk and tears through Area Zero's shield? Letting all the paradox mon run free in the wild, that could be how it happens maybe? Definitely interesting to think about
@@Brahhh maybe. I just don't think there is a good reason or point to bring zyguard In beyond fan service. Every named npc from gym leaders to star captains and teachers are all level 65+ by the end of the post game. And thats not including how team star has been training students for defensive battles against invaders. The region is surprisingly well equipped for deal with dangerous occurrences. And seeing as zyguard didn't step in when a region was almost destroyed by eternatus twice I can't really see it joining in here story wise. Cause like eternatus was ripping apart space time by just eternamaxing.
Wasn’t mega evolution always linked to a Pokémon’s primal instinct. So the similarities between the crystals powering the machine in area zero and mega stones may have a similar function. Plus Kyogre and Groudon have the primal reversion which looks vaguely similar to trastalization
Also roaring moon looks really similar to mega salamance
Kalos is based on France, and Paldea on Spain, on a real world geographical sense, they are connected, so it makes sense that gamefreak would choose to make a dlc that make them both connected.
And all the extra pokemon lore connecting them as well

If you read the books in each lab going down through area zero, one if them mentions a Pokémon with its name blacked out, but it mentions it having a shell and them doing some kind of experiment with the crystals and its shell and I am deeply curious about that!
This is the third legendary. They talk about it in the Scarlet/Violet book.

As said mega evolution is “hinted” at through roaring moon so that confirms that this is the same timeline as X/Y and ORAS at the moment.
And iirc some references mega to being a “primal” form of said pokemon, so likely some connection, which also could correlate the buff in power as the paradox mons are more vicious etc
I dunno, but seeing how good S&V have been, adding Mega back into the mix will be awesome.
This is FASCINATING. I love the deep pokemon lore we seem to be getting. I really hope they open Kalos up and reintroduce mega evolutions.

it's cool to see luke nerding out about pokemon lore. the whole paldea/kalos thing is really fascinating.
genuinely love this idea. everything connects so well and i really hope as well that game freak and nintendo do even another full game that we can buy that connects scarlet and violet with X and Y. They could definitely do another DLC but i really do not think that would cover all the mysteries and things left out of our first 3DS games. I think the best thing for game freak to do would be to give us access to Kalos in a DLC or even a 3/4 price downloadable content version of what they would add to the game. This would bring so much hype and im very excited
The fact that papers represents Spain and kalos is France makes the theory even more plausible it could be part of kalos or based off Andorra which Is in between spain (paldea) and France (kalos)

I love all the theories out there and have tried to follow them all and this is the first I’ve seen of the eternal flower being a paradox. That’s really cool
Not sure if anyone has addressed this yet but besides each one of the paradox forms have different or higher stats the their original counterparts or better stat distribution.
Eternal Floette has higher stats, cannot evolve or breed, and learns Light of Ruin at level 50.
It’s the same for ever paradox form.

What’s very interesting as well is the Treasures of Ruin, and then AZ Floette having Light of Ruin. A loose connection, but it’s very interesting.
Edit: Also something interesting is that all the Treasures of Ruin are dark type, but then AZ Floette is a fairy type, and their signature move is also fairy, which is strong against dark. Plus the term “Light” of Ruin. And I’m pretty sure the signature moves of all of the Treasures of Ruin is dark type. Just some more food for thought.
Another edit, my brain is going ham: Perhaps the Treasures of Ruin are the result of the initial blast from the ultimate weapon and/or the war in Kalos. They have certain themes tied to them: withering/decay, hatred, destruction, and envy. All of these things were accumulated within the items these Pokémon are made of. So maybe Floette is the “Light” of all this ruin, while these Pokémon are the “Dark” parts of it, or the “Evil”, the “Pain” brought by the war in Kalos that resulted in death of a lot of Pokémon, but then also the ultimate weapon blast on top of all that.

Almost 3 years ago now when home first came out. When the data Mines began for the program AZ's Floette was no where to be found. Eventually they found some left over data for it but that was it. It would be very interesting to see if it got brought back with S/V
I love the ideas, but the weapon was fired a 3000 years ago, the crater is at least a million, as told by the history teacher, plus it was called the great crater, area zero is a newish name.
The gimmicks of Kalos, Alola and Paldea are all crystals of some sort. Galar broke the trend by being a specific energy in that region. Honestly with the way that Alola was set up, it sort of never actually really explained the z-crystals. I would not besurprised if the fact that zygarde ended up in Alola helped tie all three andtheir crystal gimmicks together. The only thing really known about z-crystals was that they were guarded by totems - and totems were bigger versions of regular mons. So that also kind of ties in Hisui as well.

I don't think you mentioned it but what if Area Zero (The great CRATER of Paldea) was caused by the ultimate weapon? I don't remember XY telling us specifically where the war happened. So what if the war took place where Area Zero is today and all the crystals and maybe even the hexagon legendary was a result of the Ultimate Weapons energy?

And perhaps the blast collided with something on impact. Something made of discs. Something bearing a crystalline similarity with a certain sundial in Anistar City...

Don’t forget that Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire emphasized the point that there are 2 timelines, one where he fired the weapon and one where he didn’t. The one where he fired the weapon has Mega Evolution, and Scarlet and Violet doesn’t have Mega Evolution so he never fired the weapon in this timeline OR the DLC maybe has Mega Evolution
The pokédex wouldn’t reference Mega Evolution if it didn’t exist in this timeline
So maybe it’ll be like Sun and Moon where it exists but isn’t attainable by the player

@@GameboyLuke Maybe a third timeline where the beam didn't land in Kalos but in Paldea instead bringing energy from different timelines (the time machine simply harvests this energy) and the paradox refers to both a time paradox and timeline paradox where things from both the other timelines (magazines from scarlet making it into violet and vice versa but also books and documents describing mega evolution in different regions) were brought into this world of pokemon where the beam was fired but instead of just releasing the primal energy that causes megas it released both primal and whatever the future version of primal energy as well causing the paradox forms and both being available but Turo focused on the future energy while Sada focused on the past energy

Maybe you can’t use light of ruin on a regular florette because it isn’t holding the eternal flower, that’s how the move gets its power from the etternal flower
I find the floette thing difficult to believe since eternal flower follows its other formes naming convention (blue flower, red flower, etc.)

In the book where you see the picture of the entei,raikou,suicune fusion, it states that it is an artist's rendition of what a pokemon in Area Zero MIGHT look like.
I'm just gonna say, all this theorizing is a good thing. I don't think I've ever seen so many different poketubers and TH-camrs theorizing about the mysteries of current pokemon games as much as I have seen this gen. I have found so many new theorist this past month and it's just all good fun speculating and theorizing what is going on with Area zero, disc pokemon and possible Kalos relationship. Whether this all bears fruit is yet to be seen but it feels real good to be a pokemon fan right now. Game freak cannot optimize games for the life of them but boy are they masters of creating lore and this gen has just been absolutely bonkers with it. Love seeing so many different poketubers add their thoughts to further the discussions :)

I wonder if Light of Ruin functions based off of a friendship stat, or perhaps other technical stats. The move isn't greyed out because the Pokemon has the capacity to obtain the ability to use it 👀 Maybe just certain conditional qualities have to be met in or out of battle 👀👀
I know you briefly touched upon Diancie but I think its interesting how both carbink and diancie are currently unobtainable pokemon in the game despite carbink not being a legendary/mythical or a starter like most if not all the unobtainable pokemon are. It's like they wanted to make sure the assets for it were gonna be used at some point.

there's also some trees with crystals on them in area zero, which reminds the crystal texture of the ultimate weapon we see shooting up on X/Y. I think the energy from the blast crashed on the original place area zero was, creating the crater and mutating some of the pokemons there or straight up creating an one-way trip between past/future (probably past since floette is not a mech) where floette and the other paradox pokemons came from. I think if they ever make a dlc comparing both region they're probably bringing AZ back
Aero Zero is way older than AZ and that weapon. If you take the history classes you'll find out that Area Zero is over 10000 years old. AZ built the weapon 3000 years ago. So he can't be responsible for creating the crater

@@DNB770 well, unless they say paradox pokemons existed before 3000 years ago we can still assume that whatever energy the ultimate weapon shot is related to the time machine, i'm even assuming the time machine isn't in fact a time machine, but a machine able to manipulate whatever is in area zero to create pokemons. That could still be the third legendary the professor used to create what he thoughts is a time machine.

AZ is based on beginning and end. Xerneas and Yveltal. Life and death beginning and end. Sun and moon. Beginning and end of the day. 3DS Era games were based on beginning and end. AZ beginning of the alphabet and end. Also Heaths drawing of the Rikou, Entei, Suicune fusion was drawn 200 years ago. The burning of the tower was 150 years ago (as of SV) Heath was under the influence of the disk pokemon when drawing the fusion.

I just have no faith in the Pokemon developers right now to actually do something this cool that the fans would want to see.
In terms of the blast, if it is a canon my assumption is that it could be aimed. When in fires during the game, the canon is aimed straight up, hence the blast returning to the point of origin. It could be that the canon was aimed at paldea, and history recorded the blast as a meteorite.
Not a dlc, but a whole freaking legends games. I really hope this will connect Kalos to Paldea and you will freaking call it even more

it could also work with the imagination theory. AZ lost his beloved Floette, but it never came back to life. it became the wish, the Hope of AZ next to his "ultimate weapon" (which could be the same as the "Time Machine" that killed SV's professor), AZ's hope that Floette comes back to life made Eternal Flower, not as "Past Pokémon" but as "Paradox made by his Dreams"..
Another interesting point i just saw look at Arven's Art next to AZ, Even the frown is close.
I think they will include the whole of kalos (or a huge chunk of it) about 5 to 10 years after x & y in the timeline. X & Y characters appeared in sun & moon and was a few years older, while wallace in ORAS mention a giant (AZ) going around Hoenn giving out mega stones which is why megas are in ORAS. Timeline wise the ORAS remake is either now decanonised R/S or its alternate universe. AZ ultimate weapon did help create mega stones and said weapon looks real similar to tera crystals and also probably created area zero with the weapon during the pokemon war (thats why the crystals that look similar to the ultimate weapon is there. Im sure AZ can expand on what the hole is. Maybe AZ tried destroying it and just made it stronger). I also think AZ floette is a paradox form. If anything I expect it to be kalos years after x & y with the companions and other characters a few years older if it does end up happening in the dlc. With the paradox pokemon slowly escaping area zero and messing up the eco-system it directly effects zygarde as their role is to destroy anything that ruins balance, especially since the pokemon shouldn't be in this time period. Especially with paldea being so close to kalos. I know the dex entries after x & y expanded on lore for zygarde a bit more in this regard, along with sun & moon. Wouldn't surprise me with the time machine gone the third legendary will go into overdrive (maybe insane as it aint got a pawn in the professor anymore) and that will bring new paradox pokemon like the suicune and virizion paradox (which shouldn't exist based on the timeline of the dogs creation specifically by ho-oh, maybe messed up fused paradox pokemon because of this that don't make sense) pokemon shown in the books which are a fusion of all dog/sword pokemon in one. Be a good way to cap of X & Y and give a good reason to show perfect zygarde along with maybe a new form of xerneus and yveltal since they literally rule over life and death. Maybe lysandre returns. It dont help that paradox salamance looks like mega salamence showing devolution. Maybe the tera crystals end up making new mega stones or permanent type evolutions through revertion to the pokemons strongest form whether past or future. Kinda like how magikarp used to be super strong a long time ago but slowly became useless. There was also a cut magikarp/gyrados paldean form found in the files that toedscool/cruel replaced on a random note related to that. May be brought back in DLC also.

AZ is 3,000 years old he had to have been to Paldea at least once in his life and seeing how he was once King of Kalos he had to have even at least know about it.

BTW clemont created a robotic helioplisk in gen 7 anime so robotic pokemon sounds like future paradox pokemon because of the ash ketchum being riko's father so everyone old so clemont becomes a genius inventor not like before the stupid inventor

A fre things that i have to say about this, 1. It's possible that AZ could be related to the king of paldea somehow I saw someone comment about all the ruinous ability of the new quartet and light of ruin definitely seems like it would fit in, but also If I remember correctly I believe there was a war of some sort that AZ was talking about, and the king of paldea was greedy and wanted too much treasure, so it's possible his brother hated that and tried to start a war and in doing so he made that weapon which he fired at him and made the great crater of paldea in the process. It's also possible that the big pink crystal in kalos has something to do with terastilization since they look very similar to the crystals found in the crater of paldea, so def very intresting topic

Plus, in the game XY we are shown that Lysander firing the weapon was actually the second use; AZ's story of when he first used it shows the beam's trajectory that hits elsewhere. Perhaps firing the weapon the first time created the crater that is Area Zero?
For more lore: AZ,Darkrai what do they resemble for each other? White Hair, Red Beanie/Scarf,Dark-ish robes so, is az secretly a humanoid Darkrai who can use pokemon and can talk?
Maybe the reason why Mega Salamence and paradox Salamence look very similar is probably because when normal Salamence is trying to Mega evolve, it's trying to transform into its paradox form but it just can't quite get there.
One thing I haven't seen anyone mention is the possibility that, instead of a direct connection to Kalos, what the DLC will actualy uncover could possibly be the Pokemon World's equivalent of Andorra. I don't think anyone is expecting all of Kalos ot be the DLC but at the same time I don't know if the small section of Kalos we would get there would be significant enough to make us feel like we're revisiting a small part of Kalos. I honestly even highly doubt it'll feel the slightest bit familiar at all. So, in my mind, I think they're taking a couple of liberties with country shapes and borders, as they've always kind of done, and are going to use Andorra as a bridge between Kalos and Paldea and we'll maybe get some small references to Kalos. Andorra could be a mixed region, like, too small to really develop its on ecosystem so the Pokemon that do live there are just a mix of Pokemon from Kalos and Paldea.
Although this is Gamefreak we're talking about so I do think I'm probably overthinking things cause there's no way they'd actually put that much thought into this and they will just give us an underdeveloped and unfamiliar looking environment that they claim is part of Kalos.

I would love to see this kalos theory in the dlc, mega evolution is my favorite gimmick in Pokémon, plus it will be the second time we have 2 gimmicks in one game

There is a chance that when the weapon fired, it landed in Paldea (specifically where Area Zero is) it created what WE know as The Great Crater of Paldea! Think about it. Also i've seen theories about in the books, there is something about the origin of terrastilization (no clue if i spelled that right) i've seen some people say it might be zygarde. I personally think it's talking about Diancie. that's all i got
Has anyone ever asked where AZ got the materials to build the Ultimate Weapon? How would you find so much crystal? Seems to fit just right, perhaps we thought AZ was from Kalos, when maybe, just maybe, he's from Paldea. Then again we don't know. But who can say for sure. All I know is that if it's true, perhaps all those shiny charizards that people are hatching will grow into something greater...

What's weird is that Xerneas and Yveltal are literally life and death. As said in the show, Zygarude must have been the guardian of both because life needs both of them to keep going.
I just think it's cool that the story of this Pokémon game was cool enough that folks are actively theorizing where the story could go. We really haven't had anything like that in a while.

So I'm curious of this but what if in their stress and possibly the Crystal's or the pokemon linked to ot caused the professors to split and made them think they abandoned them when in truth they left to check on something in kallos and depending on which version we find the other parent so that arven goes on a journey there to find their parent and look into things as well? Then we find zygarde who is battling the other being? And in turn unlocks mega evolution for us or even.... a mega zygarde?

Here's my imput since I'm such a nerd about pokemon lore/theory: but If you look at the disc pokemon, it actually looks like a mid mega evolution transformation. Also if we know the kalos starters will be released in the games. Namona's parents travel for business( if I remember correctly). They have a picture of a Greninja (maybe Ash Greninja) in their home. Mayb some connections.
I mean the weapon probably made the crater whenever it was first fired I'm hyped to get the full lore of it and super excited to see the ancient Suicune ingame hopefully it's not shiny locked as well. Also hopefully they do add megas back into the games it'd be nice if they listened to the fans for once honestly.
paldea is based on the iberian peninsula, in spain which neighbors france, kalos is based on france, it wouldnt be a surprise if the two regions are neighbors
we were shown 2 blasts in Pokémon XY, one was the first blast that AZ used to end the war, and the one you showed was the one you used to destroy the weapon.
Seeing the the map the fans made actually makes sense from an irl stand point as Kalos is based off France and paldea is based off Spain. So the two being connected is not that Farfetch'd.
It would be awesome if we got to revisit Kalos!

So, if mega stones are made of crystals from Paldea, aren’t the crystals made from a collection of Tera shards? They are type specific too
What keeps me thinking is that AZ’s weapon is made of crystals. What if AZ was the one who taught Sada and Turo how to make their AI’s (since they’re made from advanced technology with crystals)
I figured they be connected since scarlet and violet based on spain. And x and y were based off of france with both countries connected together irl
Personally I think the disc/hexagon pokemon is definitely related to zygarde, but the legendary dogs fusion and swords of justice fusion might be hinting toward a Legends Unova game. This might just be hopium, but then we would have the swords of justice fusion, legendary dogs fusion, and original dragon fusion in ine game and something about that just makes sense to me
Might be a stretch, but Glimmora looks really similar to the Ultimate Weapon that AZ fired and that there’s a lot more Kalos Pokémon in this game compared to previous titles, with it being more apparent in the area next to the boarder to Kalos
Bro if they don’t add any kind of Kalos feature in the DLC it will be a worse dropped ball than BDSP.

Luke, what about Sandy Shocks? Magnetmite are made up partially of man-made items like magnets. But how did it get to prehistoric age to become Sandy Shocks? Could be a possible explanation for the Legendary Beasts being in the ancient past. May even lead to an explanation for AZ's Floette.
Just because horseshoe magnets are a man-made invention on Earth, doesn’t mean that’s the case in the Pokémon world. In their world, magnets were probably inspired by Magnemite, not the other way around. The same probably goes a lot of objectmon, too. That’s probably why their technology is more advanced than ours, they had inspiration on gears, magnets, concrete, etc. from nature.
@@akakay0131 A fair explanation, except it has one hole: Legends Arceus. In that game Pokemon like Magnemite and Porygon are available along with their evolutions. But they only appear in space-time distortions, not in the natural wilds.

wonder if they’ve been working on bringing megas back for a while, Stuff relating to megas was readded in legends arceus, and in Sword and Shield update 1.3.2 they went out of their way to fix a bug with the red and blue orbs

A theory, but what if AZ's floette is like an ancient pokemon, not ancient as in fossil but more like relicanth in that it is a living specimen from the past that no longer exists for some reason, which could be why it's the only known pokemon (just from game data) that can use/know the move Light of Ruin which does connect back to the abilities of the Treasures of Ruin quartet being: Tablets of Ruin, Vessel of Ruin, Beads of Ruin and Sword of Ruin.
Either AZ's floette knowing a move dubbed Light of Ruin sharing the 'of Ruin' in the Treasures of Ruin quartet abilities name being a coincidence or there is some form of significant to the similarities, which could suggest AZ's floette may be a variant of floette that was around at the creation of the Treasures of Ruin or had a stronger connection to them, like the floette line being used in a ritual or being required to calm or capture the quartet before their imprisonment.
A thought or theory from Gaydily suggests that the quartet are the living embodiment of withering/decay, hatred, destruction and envy as the result from the ultimate weapon, maybe even the embodiment of grieve and loss and that floette is their counter, their light to their own darkness. A reflection of emotions that surrounded the ultimate weapon perhaps, as war would bring hatred, loss, grieve, destruction, envy, decay but in times of war, hope and love, kindness and doing what feels right as well as fighting for a cause (for the ones' that we love) are also evident, as this time is when the lines between morally right and wrong are at their fuzziness.
Whatever the connection between AZ's floette knowing the move Light of Ruin and the Treasure quartet, I do not believe it is a paradox form, but something else much deeper. Perhaps the connection between them should be suggested to the channel, The Game Theorist, I am sure such a theory would catch their interest.
