Ambush is a natural entity that can kill you if your using scripts/executers or not. If it detects an exploit, you will be killed by Ambush instantly taking away all your lives. Even Ambush appearing on door 25 is quite rare, doesn't mean that its because of a script.

You don't need to actually open drawers to find the key, you need to listen for a sparkling sound when you're near a drawer then open em

To make this easier when your near the key in a drawer it makes a ring sound so this way you can save your lock picks for dark rooms
