Hahahaha! Efra is so hilarious and I can understand his observation and analysis of pitched corrected vocals of popular artists globally while genuine artists are left out in international funding, marketing and promotion. Efra is very sharp witted despite of his loud rants and boisterous laughter hhahahaha, i am in love with him. Thanks Wales for consistently guiding us with your insights about music, the science of singing/ vocals because we learn a lot from them!
I believe Efra was not referring to popular artists but to these Tiktokers who get viral for singing in the kitchen (2 males, 1 female), making people think that they're raw clips/videos of them spontaneously singing when they were actually autotuned and pitch-corrected. I just randomly saw a music major/musician (gabi belle) who also reacted and analysed their videos and clearly showed, using softwares she's using (forgot which ones!), how each and every note were pitch corrected to make them sound, well, perfect! I love how Efra doesn't hold back and just says it as it is!

Yeah right@@lepunksmoothie There are popular artists though who pitch correct their mvs, for most as creative tool not necessarily as vocal enhancement
That's Sir Froilan. He was my lecturer in a review center when I took an exam. He is so funny, talented, and smart. One of the best lecturers in FTRC. You can't feel sleepy if he's the lecturer. Everyone in the review center loves him. He always brings positivity to the room. Even though I wasn't feeling well, I chose to attend the class because of his positivity.
Thats why i like Efra, he is so real. Keep it up😊🇵🇭
Just a normal day in the Ph, if your classmates know that you have a talent, especially in singing, we would most likely bring it up with every chance we get and shout "Sample! Sample! Sample!" for them to showcase their talent even during classes.
He was my lecturer during my review days. He's always a great teacher who really lightened up our review days. Sir Froi should've been discovered long time ago.

The filipino crowd are hard to please because we have so much talented and amazing singers performing live. If you say you're a singer then you must prove it by singing live in front of the people. Using voice editing like autotune and other stuff is considered shameful. You will lose your credibility as a singer and people will also shame you for doing such thing. People here will appreciate you singing even if it's not that good rather than you sounding good because of autotune.

Also i watched some tiktok of filipino students in a US classroom initiating and engaging the whole room to sin this is a typical scene in the phils. I remember when we were in high school, we were doing quiz and my friend was singing by himself probably he didnt notice others actually hear him and one starts to sing along with him until the whole classroom is singing but not like this video, the teacher was in a bad mood and scolded us😂

It must be their Music class, we do have activities like that. Some do a choir group, some group of 5s or trios or duets…they do harmonies too!
It's a Professional education class.
That's a LET review class po, a preparation for board examination for teachers, and whoever got the lowest scores in quizzes they need to perform, they can dance or sing maybe, during break time na. 😊

Let me tell you about those karaoke mics..they are quirky..you have to adjust to them just for it to work a little better..positioning,and where you hold it..sometimes you have to hold your hand around the head just for it to pick your voice better...
Omg I know what Efra's talking about 😂 i just watched another video breaking down how those people (the kitchen dudes and the i remember when people) edits/post-produces their vocals on tiktok then posts it like they recorded and sang it on the spot. Like there's nothing wrong with doing some production with your vocals but it's wrong when you pretend that you're not doing it/you want it to pass like that's recorded on the spot & it's all natural.
