Siempre he tenido una duda un poco rara, y en todos mis años de práctica de inglés británico nunca se me había presentado la ocasión para dudar, hasta éste momento... Sé que Petróleo en inglés británico se dice Oil (como el aceite) o Petroleum, pero mi duda viene en qué momento debo usar cada expresión para no cometer errores o caer en confusiones, me encantaría tenerlo muy en claro. Caray, llevo muchísimos años hablando inglés y conversando pero nunca me había puesto a pensar en ésto puesto que nunca había tocado ese tema en una conversación. ¡Saludos!

@@AmigosIngleses I think the question may be the difference between "they verbed one another" and "they verbed themselves", because in Spanish the reciprocal and reflexive pronouns are the same, whereas in English they are different. Spanish uses reflexive pronouns in both cases: "ellos se verbaron". Or at least, that is a question Spanish speakers *should* be asking. I remember being told a story with this classic line: "Pretty soon, everybody on the bus were arguing with themselves!" It is possible to argue with yourself, but a bus full of people probably has arguments between people. (The verb "were" has also been conjugated incorrectly, it should not be plural, but "todos estaban" is plural in Spanish. "Everybody was" in English, though.)

Ej: complex (adjetivo), complexness y complexity || nervous (adjetivo), nervousness y nervosity, entre muchos otros que he visto. Entonces, ¿cuál es la diferencia entre esos sustantivos?

When should you use "each other"? and one another?
They’re interchangeable. 😉✌️

No puedo hablar por gran bretaña pero en estados un. Se pronuncia inoof. El sonido de i es corto no extendido .
