28:56 I tried messing around with that level on my Wii U and found out that if you have enough speed and do a tail swipe as you land on the bob-omb, you can bounce off of it and pick it up and then you kick it at the peak of your bounce which goes in and breaks the block and I was able to clear it

I must say, the second auto level looked very interesting to me. The springs and rimming of the fire bars... Very cool, if you ask me.

The 2 first Auto levels (I'll assume there will be more) show a very typical pattern: They start out pretty strong, with element reuse and a cool concept and a theme, but then quickly feel like the creator ran out of ideas.
Also, based on up until 1:00:37 I'm pretty sure the "final fight" is NSMB2 9-Castle (the Star World is W9).
Poor Dave. He's going to make that last level in SMM2 only to realize he can't boo his own levels. 😝
Hey Dave, I really enjoy your old-fashioned challenge videos and would love to see another. Can you try to beat the Sweet Sweet Galaxy in Mario Galaxy without jumping? (I can confirm it’s possible, but I’m not sure if you can actually grab the star)

I dig the whole Ryu thing you're doin with going back to SMM1. I'm surprised ither creators haven't copied him sooner. The 100 mario challenge is much better content then endless..100 mario actually has a goal
I disagree, I thoroughly like the ability to just keep going and try and keep it going and compare that to the rest of the world. Especially for easy and normal which are disgustingly easy, it's not really a challenge at all.
But... with that said, the vast majority of people can't really go very long in super expert (especially at only 30 lives)... so I would like the OPTION of 100 man in super expert. That would be cool to do endless OR 100-man for that.

If you didn't skip levels that were annoying, you have skips for levels that are nearly impossible.
The music level where you thought it was doing the Under the Sea theme was definitely the overworld music from Super Mario World lol.
