It made sense for QF to "disappear" from the show due to his criminal investigation, but it always sat wrong with me (and most fans) that Yibo & DLS didn't get a proper goodbye, since they had done nothing wrong. Wang Han especially has talked about how hard it was to be "the only one left" after that, and how he had a hard time walking out on stage alone and smiling. The song Yibo and DLS sang together at New Years felt like the "goodbye" they deserved. Wang Han and DLS are truly like family to Yibo. They love their little brother so much ❤❤❤
The television network HunanTV was forced to terminate the contracts of many actors and presenters that year, but not by choice. Nor did the QianFeng scandal have anything to do with Yibo's departure from DDU. It was because the government tightened the rules (after a series of scandals and unfortunate incidents) in the Chinese entertainment industry and one of those rules was that to host a show you had to have the "necessary preparation" (university degree at least ) and a government-issued license that would allow you to hold that position. But in addition to everything at that time, Yibo's fame and workload were already making it more difficult for him to participate in the program because his acting career was already demanding a lot of his time. Remember that he had to constantly leave TheUntamed's set to go record DDU in another city. It was very sad because HunanTV obviously did not want to let him go due to the very high ratings he generated and it was difficult for Yibo to let it go because you immediately realized that being in DDU with his "brothers" was for him moments similar to those of "returning home" and leaving like that, without even a goodbye was very disheartening, but as I understand him leaving the program without a proper announce was to not damage the ratings of the show and I'm sure Yibo wanted it to be like this, but it was a government matter, it wasn't really anyone's fault.

They spent many years in DDU and even if Yibo was already being pressed by his fans and other projects to leave DDU, at the end it wasn't his decision to leave. I'm just clarifying because many people think Yibo was dumped from the program just because "evil network" wanted it. Nope, they did not wanted! They all were forced (all network stations in China) and Yibo leaving in secret was also to not damage HanGe, and after him leaving, DDU had one more year of life, and at the present time the program is on "stand by".
