The bag evaluator is right to be embarrassed when she offers such low offers. Some vintage Chanel can sell for very high prices. Her offers are actually insulting to the potential clients. I imagine that two of those chanel handbags could fetch £3500. Christies, Sotheby's and Kerry Taylor have one or two auctions a year that areq dedicated to high-end designer purses.

an offer of anything no matter what you were expecting, is not generous. The offer is based on their resale and profit value, you can expect 1k for something and be offered 100k by a pawn shop, they haven't been generous, they have had them expertly valued and they are worth that, and more.

I lived in Vancouver for many years and it has a massive Chinese / Taiwanese population. Sorry to say after all the years living there I found every single one I met to be heartless and cold, money and keeping it within their culture and shutting out every other race was all they were interested in. Her not immediately taking the offer comes as no surprise, they always haggle especially if they are dealing with someone not of their culture. I’m afraid it left me with a very low opinion of them.

I lived in Vancouver for many years and it has a massive Chinese / Taiwanese population. Sorry to say after all the years living there I found every single one I met to be heartless and cold, money and keeping it within their culture and shutting out every other race was all they were interested in. Her not immediately taking the offer comes as no surprise, they always haggle especially if they are dealing with someone not of their culture. I’m afraid it left me with a very low opinion of them.
