    Great playing! I built the same amp a while back but it’s still just an exposed chassis. Did you build the housing for this? Or can you reference where you might have gotten it from? I like the look of it!

    Awesome video! Really close to pulling the trigger😎Curious if you’ve compared to the Fender Deluxe Reverb and/or Fuchs Blackjack 21?

    • @argbluesman
      @argbluesman  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes! I’ve owned all of them! The blackjack was before my TH-cam presence however. All three very nice but if I have to choose one it’s the OTS mini. It is an overall nicer amp. The overdrive is smoother and the cleans are a bit more saggy although it’s a solid state rectifier. The blackface is too punchy to my taste.

    This is definitely one of the sweetest amps I've heard, and a great deal of that sweetness undoubtedly lies in your fingers and technique. Very, very tasty playing indeed. Did you get a chance to do any tube rolling at all? And if you did play around with the power tubes, was it easy enough to rebias? Again, wonderful, wonderful playing!

    • @argbluesman
      @argbluesman  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks man! I put tung sol tubes in it and the biasing was pretty easy. I am pretty handy with amps and circuits so it was ok for me, removing the chassis and doing it.

    • @srinip
      @srinip 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@argbluesman Thanks for the quick response! I thought Nik had put in external test points - but you have to pull the chassis out to get to the bias pot, right? I have a sweet pair of Brimars I might try (assuming I get this amp), and a Mullard ECC83 that is just dying to be put into a great amp.

    • @argbluesman

      Under Feature Overview, it says External Bias Adjust. Just makes it a bit easier..:) This amp sounds perfect as a recording amp. I'll never take it out, and with a reactive load, I could get the power tubes cooking too..:)

    • @argbluesman
      @argbluesman  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    • @argbluesman
      @argbluesman  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      To me they are different. The mini is a 6v6 amp and the overdrive is different. It’s not quite the same from the big brothers, you can hear in this video how it is different. If you want traditional dumble tones, I’d go for the big guys.
