Islam is completely against violence , extremism and killing. You will understand it if you read and learn islam the right way. Even though majority of human beings are peaceful ;Racism , extremism , violence and terrorism has existed in every community and every kind of religion and ‘isms’. But, it really starts from political entity not religion or community. It’s very clear in our country too.. there were extreme violence perpetrated by communists during 88/89. And there were thousands of so called “sinhalese” on the street killing ,looting and burning during Black July. And again This Army of people called LTTE involved in terrible atrocities. All of them were motivated by politicians not religion . connecting islam to terrorism is used as tool to creat islamophobia to gain political goals. If you are open minded you will understand that even after (and also before)easter bombing ,muslims of this country rejected terrorism and terrorist, declared them as not muslims and not allowed to bury according to our rituals, gave fullest support to government. Infact it’s because of our communities exemplary action army could find and defeat these terrorist within short period of time .. yet we are still blamed for the crimes we are against
