both illaoi and fiora can fight morde ( fiora is toughest counter i ever played against perma banned for me ) depends on the ranged champion you can generally sustain yourself through some poke with E shield and doran start . Your best option if you can't win the lane is just farm up , take tp shove the wave to force enemy toplaner to tp back to his lane , tp to dragon take it , dive bot for double kill and first tower , easy maneuver that wins you the game
You're right to a certain extent, but a good player who uses properly a range champion, will stay away from Mordekaiser's E, and with their poke will deplete his shield and even if his E connect, they would still stay away from his autoattacks and Q avoiding him to sustain with life steal while depleting his shield with basic attack to force him out of the creep, and when he waits for the opponent to push the lane finally, Mordekaiser couldn't replenish enough health because of his lowest health regeneration while other champions can still wait and farm under turret with those same circumstances because their health regeneration is not the lowest like him. But the other things you said are recommendable (Y)
His w heals him. Freeze the lane next to your tower and wait for a gank. Once you get rylais you can usually catch them out, especially if you have ghost and or go swiftness boots. Fiora also is really shutdown by rylais/randuins. A lot of times you don't have to freeze lane though because they can't get past your shield.
TheLegless101 no all what fiora needs is to parry your third q and you can't trade with her at all i struggled in that match up even in a silver smurf , the point is there is 2 ways to carry as morde , lane snowball and the dragon ghost way . If you have any no win match where you can't just smash the enemy lane , you have the option to chill and farm , hold on your tp and take dragon . i had yesterday a game vs kayle one of the no win match ups i am talking about , all i can do is just farm and freeze the lane as going in is very difficult . around level 7 he tp to top lane , i call back go back take dragon , dive bot lane for a kill and donate first tower to adc then tp back top .
Saddem Gargouri A lot of times you don't need the 3rd q in order to have a good trade with Fiora. You can also bait out her parry or wait until it's over since your q stays out for a decent amount of time. Kayle is someone who is really tough early on but also very squishy so as long as you don't give her kills you can destroy her once she can't kight you anymore as well.
