    Hello Alen. Wow that's a unique Euphorbia! I've never heard of it. I grow up in Middle East & I avoided all of kinds of cacti that's was grown in the wild but I don't think I ever saw a euphorbia there. Now for over 40y here in Canada, I developed a love for all kinds of cacti & succulents. Last Nove I lost 99% of my collection to infestation while I was away for 3 mon in Qatar. I was devastated. I managed to rescue 1 euphorbia that I've had for 15 y. It never had a name when I got it. I didn't have much of collection to speak of due to lack space & other human who only likes large leafy plants. I lost 52 & among them 15 gymno. So far I haven't been able to find any of the gymnos. Thank you for introducing this Euphorbia. ❤ T

    Excellent presentation!
    I found one a few weeks back and splurged!
    I have not yet repotted so as to let it acclimate, since it came from Florida to Virginia with me.
    Thinking a nice terra cotta pot with cactus soil and perlite.
    Does anyone have any tricks to get it to branch, or do I just wait?
    Yes, it is a pricey find, but I am thrilled to grow it!

    • @Cactimania
      @Cactimania  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank you 😊 You can induce branching by cutting the top off, but it's just a waiting game to see if they branch naturally. I'd recommend adding a bit more mineral to the mix for this plant, pumice is a good choice if you can get it as well as some limestone chippings as that is part of what it grows in in its natural habitat. Thanks for watching and commenting 🌵☀️🌸🌼🌺🏜

    Loving the pan pipes. Great info on the plant as well. What an amazing succulent… I LOVE the weird and wonderful looking plants 🌵❤️ how long u had this one? How old do u think it is … I think stone pillars should be designed like this haha

      Thank you so much again, Danny 😊 I've had the taller one for about a year now. The smaller one for 6 months or so. They're probably a good age already, although they're not as slow growing as say an Ariocarpus. Thank you for watching and commenting. Have a lovely evening from Edith & myself 🌵☀️🌸🌼🌺🏜

    Fantastic video, Daz! I really enjoyed your awesome videophotography my friend and also all the information that you collected about these plants and their cultivation, truly valuable reference and infos, thanks so much for sharing with us!! I must confess, I have found this particular species rather difficult to keep alive for a longer period of time in cultivation over the years, so it's wonderful and inspiring to see that your specimens are obviously doing well! Perhaps I need to keep mine even warmer over the winter months? I'm just returning from some travels, so finally catching up with videos here on YT, apologies for the late comments! Sending you and Edith lot's of warm cactus & succulent regards, have a great weekend and happy growing of course!

    • @Cactimania
      @Cactimania  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thank you so much, Joe 😊 Yeah these ones definitely like to be kept on the warmer side during the winter months. The two I have are doing well and rooted well also despite some people saying they're difficult to root and are best grafted. I just hope these continue to do well and will hopefully branch in time. Thank you for watching and commenting my friend. Have a wonderful day and weekend from Edith & myself 🌵☀️🌺🌼🌸🏜
